Big museum with so much of collection. Awesome

2000 plus specimens in the CMFRI Museum Mandapam. It's a very good place for Zoology students as well as fish enthusiasts.

Still closed for COVID!! When we went there the watchman didnt allowed. He told that the museum was closed for COVID and only allowed for students.. I am wondering how long these Goverment institutes will use COVID as excuse..The worst thing the watchman told is that the authorities will be having lunch so he cannot allow me inside to speak to them..The time when I was there is exactly at 11:00AM I am from this place and the museum is really good!! All should sign petition to make this publicly accessible!!

Really awesome place to have a view of sea fish and other creatures. One can view CMFRI entrance from road at just 100m

Its a really well maintained museum by Government. The staff over there are very knowledgeable and qualified. Its a place where u can get all the marine things knowledge.

Well maintained Government establishment. The staffs over there are vertically qualified and are cordial. Over all an excellent research institute with well qualified staffs for Academia as well as for general public.

Take Step to open this for students and visitors. This serves educational purpose and cannot keep it closed for ever citing Covid/Omicron etc.,
