It’s a spacious well designed property (ex Hyatt) with very good amenities such as big lobby, swimming pool, plenty of car parking, beautiful landscapes and in great location. But it appears that very soon it will be in a bad shape and reputation due to poor maintenance, especially bad attitude & rude behaviour of staff and limited food spread & quality. Rooms house keeping, cleaning of toilets are not up to the mark and need to be improved a lot. Staff needs adequate and hospitality industry specific training be it in the Front Office, Security, ,Travel Desk, Restaurant ,room service and Housekeeping. Nevertheless, I was so pleased to converse with experienced Managers in the Front office and Restaurant . They seem to be working hard to fine tune & make things more efficient; but it’s a long way for them …..I am afraid. Drastic measures on the training part is imminent. All the best to JKR to revive with the glory asap. Looking forward to better memories and experience during my next stay.

If there was a way to give negative rating, i would have given it right away. Horrible horrible place to stay. Stinking hallway with stinking carpet. Cleaning people clean the room and leave all the dust and garbage in the corridor. You can easily see rolling hair balls all across the corridor. Car parking area is full of dampness and foul smell. I had to park my car outside the parking due to that. Zero service at this cost. Nobody cleans the room daily. They only do it if you call them and that too after 2 PM. No bathroom cleaning possible after evening. You have to call or ask them thousand times even for basics like towels, regular daily cleaning, tea at the breakfast, chapatis at the buffet, shower gel etc. Think thousand times before booking this place. I wish one good resort opens in this area soon.

Super Sad place Supposed to be a 5 star property but worst than a railway lodge. Staff is untrained and has zero response rate . Just like zombies they will hear you and go on their business without bothering . Not worth the price The owner should buckle up and make amends to the staff functioning & behaviour

Reception staff good Food good and cheap. Restaurant staff nice behaviour. House keeping staff not very friendly. We asked them to arrange bed, they didn’t. We have to arrange ourself. Dropping driver continuously talking on phone while driving. Hotel should work on it. For Hand washing they should give liquid soap. No one uses Solid soap now a days.

To be fair the rooms are good and clean and the bathroom is decent too for Rameswaram. I think the hotel needs to be more transparent as they overcharged us. They should have disclosed additional charges when we checked in and not sneakily add them during check out. Even when we protested, the hotel staff was unrelenting and insistent on charging us. Even though the hotel experience was not bad, the customer service experience left us in poor taste and hence our rating of 2 stars. The food in the restaurant was acceptable but lacked hygiene as I got diarrhea after eating it . We ordered a couple of North-Indian dishes which kind of had a 'stale smell' to it.

We booked the suite rooms, very spacious and mordern hotel. Rooms were clean and property is well maintained. Has a swimming pool which is open 8am to 8pm. The only reason to reduce one star is that we did not get an early check in even though they had the rooms available.

Polite staff. Good rooms. Security cameras and smoke sensors are there everywhere. Automatic light on and off in common washrooms. Bar is available. Big lobby and big car parking. It has a small beautiful garden also. Restaurant is expensive and the quality is also not that great. Swimming pool area can be improved like washroom is not clean, no one to refill the towels, no order service etc. Overall good experience.

Property is good as it was Hyatt earlier. Food is fine. Service is turtle slow. Staff is not trained enough to take simple 5 people order. Room during checking in was filled with water . Would give minus for service and staff of this place. They surely need a better team as the current staff is not well prepared for hospitality industry.

Travelled for pilgrimage with family. Ambience and rooms are great. Calming and soothing atmosphere. Felt like just relaxing in hotel and rejuvenating. Location quite near to temple. The only con was slow service at restaurant. Any order would take almost an hour to come, even if it is few extra chapatis in middle of meal. Kindly improve on this. Freshly preparation of these still shouldn't take this much time. If needed, hire more staff specially during travel season.

We first stayed at this property around 6 years back when it was formerly owned by Hyatt. Our experience was amazing during that stay and it was an experience we can never forget. However recently we had planned to visit Rameshwaram again and we realised the ownership has changed to The residency group. We were a bit hesitant as in our heads we thought how can this new ownership be compared to Hyatt. We had our doubts... But however we soon realised there aren't many options in Rameshwaram to match the same status and comfort as this hotel. So we took the chance at the time of booking it was close to 11,500/night we had booked the room only 2 days prior. We reached and the experience was just how it was the first time when Hyatt owned the place. We were delighted and in terms of food and service we realised that the The Residency group was a notch ahead of Hyatt. Truly unexpected! The icing on the cake was the hotel staff arranged for a temple visit where we can skip ahead of the Q and get darshan sooner especially the 4-5 AM darshan. Our experience was amazing and we can't wait to be back !!

Absolutely fantastic hotel! We loved our stay here. The food was great, great hospitality and awesome interior. The staff members were so friendly and helpful. Everyone was so nice. The chef was very friendly and they offer a lot of delicious vegetarian food options for lunch and dinner. Car service to other cities visit was provided at reasonable price with excellent driver. Highly recommend this place if you are visiting here for Rameshwaram temple pilgrimage and nearby cities.

This was formerly Hyatt Place Rameshwaram. Breakfast was average, rooms were quite okay and spacious. Personal opinion is, for the price, they should offer complimentary lunch or dinner and should include fruits etc in the room and make it more happening. If felt the lobby is quite dull and lack lustre. Occupancy was pretty low.

The worst hotel I have visited so far.I wish I could have rated this in negative. This was earlier Hyatt.Still they are charging as per Hyatt but providing service like a low standard hotel. Starting from the corridor to the room was smelling bad . AC temperature control was not.Staffs are not trained at all. Any service you ask for they will answer not available as staff are busy. Surprisingly they denied room service mentioning staff are busy. Only limited options are available in the breakfast buffet and ala carte too for lunch and dinner.I will never recommend this to anyone.

Amazing place. Such a disciplined staff and very good room service , great pool and very generous staff . Loved the hospitality from them. Such a great location and well maintained space Negative: Breakfast buffet staff please consider all the tables and don’t be partial to one table .

Very nice hotel with great ambience and prime location, nearby to temple (walking distance). Staff was very cooperative. Food also was very nice. We had our breakfast included in our stay, and it had too many options of delicious veg items. On our request, they gave us a person’s number for our smooth darshan at mandir (as language is a problem there). Food was very nice too. Fully satisfied with my stay at this hotel.

Property is good we were given a pool view room which was really good but some staff at the reception are not well mannered and corridor carpets needs to be replaced food is good and Mr. Venkat was very nice and courteous. Swimming pool is clean but no proper rules are maintained. Overall stay was good.

Very nice atmosphere. It has to be the finest resort in Rameshwaram. The rooms are pretty good. Ensure you pack lots of clothes while visiting Rameshwaram, you're going to need it. The food and ambience was extremely good. I have to give it to their kitchen team, I really enjoyed their food. The staff are very courteous with respect to mannerisms, would like more attention to be paid to customers requests though. All in all, had a wonderful stay here :)

Full five points to the hotel only because of excellent care taken of us by Chef Narendra during our two day stay. He ensured our specific requests were met at all times. The buffet is fully vegetarian with best options with a mix of south and North Indian cuisines. Thanks to chef Narendra for the excellent curations. Excellent hospitality from the restaurant team.

The resort might have been good in the past but right everything is very old. The carpet is worn, chairs broken, items clearly old. Everything is brown and sad. The cafe staff is untrained and sone times rude. The number of staff is also less. The food is also not good. The cleaning staff is pathetic and the room cleaning quality is shameful. This could have been a good stay but the staff and yhe attitude killed it.

Rooms were clean and neat. This is the only hotel which had a swimming pool and well maintained. Spa service is also good and not too expensive. Food was descent and they serve only vegetarian. Property is also well maintained and had ample space to walk around. Temple is around 3.5 km from the hotel Service can be improved, like speaking politely to the guest. Otherwise it was a pleasant stay at JKR.

Stay is ok but service is not good for the rate we pay. Dinner buffet service was bad and guests didnt get even spoons or glasses. The rate is above 1000 including tax, which is way above for a vegetarian buffet. They charged only half he rate for dinner due to the bad service that day. Stay is good, but it took time to get the room get cleaned even after we reached 5.30 pm ( way after the check in time).Even in the room they didn’t put towels and we had to call multiple tomes to get it. No proper kids play area in the property. There is a game room with few board games. Pros: clean, proximity to temple, good car parking Cons: Service, restaurant, No kids play area

Prime location. Elegant and spacious. Children loved the stay. Swimming pool had ambient temperature water to enjoy even in evening. Food is good but they can noodles in menu. More use of tomoto is observed in ingredients that can be reduced. Rest is excellent

Have stayed here thrice. First time during the time of Hyatt. At that time maintenance and food was great. Last two times of the stay, I feel they need to work on the maintenance as the rooms were not clean. Food was good at the buffet, but nothing was hot. Food can be better. Best Resort at Rameshwaram. Hope things get better in future!

Pros- It is good bcoz of the room quality. Cons-Service is very very slow. You call for laundry or house keeping, they take ages or do not show up at all. The food in Cafe is veg only but no one refills the food for long time. The service is damn slow. The TV channels do not show up till you chase. Have a good potential to be a great one but have to improve substantially in service.

Good ambience with swimming pool and play room for kids, hygiene food, cleanliness in the room, bathrooms. my kids felt like they are in USA holiday suites with tasty Indian food. It would have been good if they have self laundry services with dryers. We all enjoyed our stay in JKR.

I would really give a 5 star if oh! only if you could improve on your food, your food service and the 'attitude' of your 'partners' as they call themselves. We call them 'table waiters' or 'floor supervisors' in the rest of our world. I would really give a 5 star if only your Ayurveda massage therapist did a little more than just oil down my body. I didn't feel any difference after the rejuvenation treatment.. and, you should really give your guest a comb after a bath! Ambience - great. Rooms - spacious and very good. I tried a suite and a double room too. Service - a 15% increase of response time would be nice. Even after a disgruntled first visit, I returned to you for a second stay within 10 days, speaks a lot about your facility. Oh if only your food and your staff were up to the mark!
