First
off;
This
is
not
a
Yatri
Nivas
anymore.
It
was
sold
off
and
is
now
operated
by
state
government
with
the
name
Hotel
Aalayam.
The
hotel
is
quite
spread
out
and
has
a
lot
of
open
spaces
with
ample
parking.
Price-
The
price
have
been
hiked
steeply
recently.
Non-ac
6
bed
dormitory
costs
3600
(on
weekends)
which
i
think
is
a
bit
too
high.
Location
-
The
hotel
is
about
half
a
km
before
the
rameshwaram
bus
stand
and
about
2
kms
from
the
main
temple.
Auto
n
cabs
are
easily
available
from
the
road.
Hotel
cleanliness-
The
rooms
very
clean
and
tidy.
The
toilets
are
also
very
clean
and
well
maintained.
Rooms-
The
rooms
are
really
spacious
and
well
ventilated.
Even
non
AC
rooms
donโt
feel
very
hot
due
to
the
good
ventilation.
We
stayed
in
a
6
bedded
Dormitory
and
found
it
nice.
Restaurant
-
Only
south
Indian
food
on
the
menu
and
that
too
limited
options.
Breakfast
is
complimentary
and
good.
But
the
options
for
other
meals
are
very
limited.
There
is
a
good
veg
restaurant
just
opposite
this
hotel
which
may
be
a
saviour
for
many.
Staff-
Overall
the
staff
is
polite
and
helpful.
But
they
are
highly
understaffed
so
donโt
expect
any
quick
services.
One
also
might
have
to
do
a
lot
of
work
themselves
like
checking
out
various
rooms
on
our
own
while
check-in,
getting
your
own
bottles
and
bedsheets
etc.
Frills-
Being
a
basic
hotel
donโt
expect
any
wi-fi,
hot
water,
intercom,
kettle
etc.
But
overall
its
a
nice
stay.
