We went on family trip to rameshwaram on a busy long week end. We were afraid of getting accommodation in rameswaram. But after reaching this place , we were so excited that this property is so calm and clean . It is managed by govt of tamil nadu. There are some feedback which are given to them for further improvement of this property like security, receptionist in each building, blankets, etc. But still I loved this place. Rooms are so clean which is regularly unexpected from govt property. There is a plenty of space where we can go for a walk and relax in evening. We had stayed in 8 bed dormitory

I had a worst ever experience of staying at Hotel AALAYAM RAMESHWARAM. It is completely a waste of money booking a stay with this hotel. There were no blankets provided. No geaser in the room. Bathroom is not at its good condition. Taps were leaking. No intercom facility to contact reception. Also, even upon contacting reception they told that they don't have blankets to provide. Complimentary Breakfast was also not good. Nothing is served hot nor they preserve them in a hot box or container to preserve the hotness. Coffee/Tea is not included in complimentary Breakfast and is payable. It's not worth paying โ‚น25 for a coffee.

Firstly there is no online booking for this yatri nivas in rameshwaram, Secondly the reception person was feeling like himself as the owner of the rooms, he is just ordering to wait for more than one hour to allot a room, Thirdly very very bad service, not maintained cleaned wash rooms, no drinking water, only thing is just low cost for non ac room 500, ac room 750 , only cost is less, other than very worst things

Rooms are basic but spacious. It's a huge property divided into 3 parts, family block, dormitory block and hotel block. There is a separate block for drivers. You can take walk in the evening or night. It's on the main road, so you don't have to worry about getting autos or buses. Bus stand is just 600-700 m from the hotel. If you are coming from Madurai by bus, tell them to drop you at municipality toll or checkpoint. If you are not so particular about enjoying hotel amenities, this is the best option in budget.

A Well developed property by Govt. Of Tamilnadu & lot of Scope to Improve. Maintenance & Service is Average. Although Rooms are spacious & clean, Very Poor Basic Facilities Inside the Room. No Heater, No Floor Mats or Washroom Mats. Guests Must bring their own Towels, Bedsheets, only Bed & Pillows are provided. But Very Economical for Group & Family Stay. For a 6 Bedroom dormitory they charged us โ‚น. 1,680/- during peak season.

Very very nice staff and co-operative. Hotel/yatri nivas situated at nice location on road side. Dinning is inside the hotel. Rooms are neat and clean. Voomi Vijay who is the receptionist is well behavior and co-operative for guest and we'll known about English, Hindi, Tamil & other language.

Yatri nivas is run by government. I am really impressed once I stepped into the room. I felt like flat where I could see hall, bedroom, washroom and balcony.Balcony view is amazing. Only issue was air conditioner was not working on the next day. Will visit again, if all good, ll update this as 5 star

Rooms were nice, cleaned and big. Service was good, although restuarant was bit slow in service. Location is near 2 kms from main mandir, you get auto from the road or reach bus stand nearby, there you'll get auto for sure 70-80 Rs for 3 peoples is good deal. Property is very big, It has family cottages, Hotel Blocks, Dormitory Rooms available, Restaurant ( bit slow in service ). For Restaurants : breakfast is really nice, where's if you order by your choice, there might be delay in serving.

Top-notch rooms. Lot of Parking space. The dormitory room that we got did not have western bathroom and hence the 4 star. Food Is mediocre, you are better off getting food elsewhere for the same price per meal. Everythin else is good. No A/C in the dormitory ones but great value for money

We got non a/c room for Rs. 1000 as A/c rooms were full. Room is spacious and comfortable but weather was too hot as we travelled in summer. So it is always better to travel in winter. Breakfast was complimentary which was fair enough. Neatly maintained. In non a/c rooms there is no hot water to take bath.

Worst people. All area was full of flys. and mosquitoes. Rate is compared to be high, they charged 1500 Rs per Non ac room. The Santhi theram tour operators on 11 Nov 23 treated all the tourist in their 2 bus as a begger for room. About 2hrs wasted on the varantha. Then after the deal settled with tour operators. They charged heavy as belongs to other tour operators. Not to go in this hotel. Only suggest hotels near by temple at Rameswaram.

Very good location and luxurious construction. Rooms are very big. No room service available. Not a single hanger or wardrobe fixed in a six bedroom . No drinking water facility and you have to take atleast a 7 minutes walk to the nearest Busstand. to have even a cup of coffee.

The place itself feels desolate for one with few guests around. There's a lot of area and buildings but very little has been done. There are normal rooms with or without AC. Then there are suites with two rooms and a hall. The biggest issue is lack of hygiene and cleanliness. When we checked in there were dead dragon flies and ants everywhere. Ants were found even all over our bedroom. The toilets had water all over the floor all the time. They weren't cleaned either. The ventilation in the toilets had junk stuffed in it. The flush wasn't working well. The AC had a water leak. We weren't provided a blanket until we asked for it. The bed linens were mostly absent. There were bug eggs on the pillow. I wouldn't recommend using the shower as the water was too hard. They don't provide extra beds or pillows even for extra money. Overall, the stay wasn't upto expectations. Our booking cost us โ‚น1750 for double bedroom suite. The price was the only good thing as it was quite cheap.

Only bed will be available in a room. No blankets, table, chair and a wardrobe. Booked an AC family room and got non working, unplugged ACs. When checked-in water supply was also not there in the room. Won't recommend a stay here. Familiar experience at their restaurant named Amuthagam. Not at all satisfied with the experience we had there.

Very spacious rooms in a huge campus, nicely landscaped also. Location is near to all temples, good breakfast too. Staff was really helpful, especially the the receptionist Mr. Bhoomi who was a very friendly person.

Stayed here on 15.01.24. Had a comfortable stay at their family block. Due to Pongal holidays their restaurant wasn't available. Highly recommended for visitors, you can have a great stay at a pocket friendly price.

It is decent no-nonsense hotel available at a value price. Around 2.5km from the main temple on the same road. Hotel size is huge. Infrastructure quality is average but decent. Restaurant timings are strict and options are limited but it's ok. Ample parking space is there-you can even park buses here. Room service is average. Overall it is good option for rameshwaram stay

Ac just adds weight to the wall but doesnโ€™t work to cool the room temperature, frequent power cuts, big task to get extra bed, restaurant has got only 4 items for dinner.

Good location, good rooms some may not like bathroom scales neglect it, due to hard water.excellent food.regarding old aged persons, they don't have staffs to attend all your needs.you don't get room services due to shortage of staffs. No lifts so you have to carry your luggage as well.if you are till middle age with no health issues this hotel is best for you.

Govt owned Hotel. Big campus and have lot of rooms. Budget stay. Breakfast is complementary. I felt awkward that though BF is free we need to pay for Tea/Coffee. Food is tasty.

First off; This is not a Yatri Nivas anymore. It was sold off and is now operated by state government with the name Hotel Aalayam. The hotel is quite spread out and has a lot of open spaces with ample parking. Price- The price have been hiked steeply recently. Non-ac 6 bed dormitory costs 3600 (on weekends) which i think is a bit too high. Location - The hotel is about half a km before the rameshwaram bus stand and about 2 kms from the main temple. Auto n cabs are easily available from the road. Hotel cleanliness- The rooms very clean and tidy. The toilets are also very clean and well maintained. Rooms- The rooms are really spacious and well ventilated. Even non AC rooms donโ€™t feel very hot due to the good ventilation. We stayed in a 6 bedded Dormitory and found it nice. Restaurant - Only south Indian food on the menu and that too limited options. Breakfast is complimentary and good. But the options for other meals are very limited. There is a good veg restaurant just opposite this hotel which may be a saviour for many. Staff- Overall the staff is polite and helpful. But they are highly understaffed so donโ€™t expect any quick services. One also might have to do a lot of work themselves like checking out various rooms on our own while check-in, getting your own bottles and bedsheets etc. Frills- Being a basic hotel donโ€™t expect any wi-fi, hot water, intercom, kettle etc. But overall its a nice stay.

We booked 8 bed dormitary for 2 n8s. Very near to all the tourist destination. Property exterior is good. Price is ok with complimentary breakfast. Rooms are clean. Thanks for nice stay. CONS: No towels and bedsheets. No Tv. Only one toilet for 8 beds dormitary. Resturant price is too high. E.g: 1 Chapati 40 rupees.

This is not a feel good hotel. We can say it's a budget hotel for bachelors stay. Definitely not recommending for family stay. Before you book, visit the room, check and if you are comfortable then make payment. There is no hot water available, manager told this after booking. Rooms are spacious but it is not cleaned. There are 3 to 4 blocks. You need to visit personally the main block for everything. There is no room service at all, more over there is no receptionist in each block. They won't attend calls. They won't give blanket. The blanket given is only to cover beds. Cockroach is there. I got a bite from red monster spider. Remember it is run by government. Refer my photos. Regret the stay. Not recommending.
