Traditional restaurant near the road at the entrance of the city. The food has a variety, prices seemed ok generally, still I was shocked to pay for an simple egg and brain and 2 fresh 58! Lei. Very expensive after me for a simple breakfast. 14 lei is to much for a glas of fresh orange.it was my 3thd and last visit here. Sorry to say it.

The waiter was quite unpleasant, being pushy, unfriendly and did not smile. I had a feeling that they were rushing us. They were to carefull and maybe I interpreted wrong but, my daughter was still eating and they wanted to take the plate while she did not finish, the cleaning lady was walking too many times near our table(more than 6 times in 45 minutes) and as soon as we ordered dessert, the waiter requested to issue the bill. Highly unapropriate. Overall food is good, service fast and I recommend the cheesecake

It is second time I have visited Hanul Haiducilor and we had a quick lunch on the way. First time I was in different locations but I had really good memory. This time I had awsome papanasi my girlfriend and other friend had soups. Ciorba de fasole in bread looks and taste really good, my girlfriend wanted to have some hot light snack so she decided to have a simple chicken soup. Three of us tried papanasi and we all agreed that those are absolutely in top 10 in Romania which we tried so far (in two years here I am trying them 1-4 times per month across the country so I know what I am talking about :) )

Honestly, the food was bad. The place looks really nice and have all the elements of a good romanian restaurant, except for the food. The meat ball soup(ciorba de perisoare) was just a clear hot water, with 3 meat balls and few vegetables. The mashed potatoes were mashed only with water and oil!! No butter and milk...the smoked ribs kept in pork fat (coaste la garnita) had a good tase but too many bones. Above all this the prices were really high, even higher than in many good restaurants in Bucharest.

The extra salt on the fish would have done well in the vegetable stew of my wife. I would not recommend the confit de pommes ;p (potato strips cooked, not fried, in oil) or the burnt fish…

We were passing by and decided to stop by this restaurant. Traditional Romanian cuisine. Beautiful design. Delicious food, large portions, varied selection. Good service. We liked everything very much!

Good food and served in a great way. Nevertheless could be more tourist friendly, like more pictures in the menu and better description.

Well, the food was tasty and the atmosphere was pretty nice, however, the services were not that impressive. We had to wait for desert way much more than usual and the waiter forgot about our request.

Very good experience at Hanul Haiducilor. You can get an authentic romanian food at the best quality and live traditional romanian music, as well. I highly recommend this place in case you are looking for a traditional one.

Food was awful. I didn't get what I ordered and the food was reheated. The place was nice but the smoke got into the non smoker section a lot. The only thing ok was the waitress. Overall 1 star because of how bad the food was.

Food was great but it took so long to arrive. I came in with my family very hungry and ended up having to wait an entire hour to eat, and they even got our order wrong.

very good food and perfect traditional atmosphere sprinkled with a touch of rustic influence. They have very good dishes and everything looks really nice. the presentation of the dishes might as well be from the menu pictures. overall I highly recommend it. you actually feel like robin hood. :))
