Cons: Whatever you do, DON'T LEAVE YOUR CAR ON STREET PINILOR (right south of the pin); YOU WILL GET A PARKING FINE, ALLTHOUGH THERE IS NO SIGN FORBIDDING THAT. Extremely pricey food and low portions. Bring sandwiches Also, toilet is from the 17th century. Pros: ++ they have soap +++ scenery +++ cold place for when it's hot outside - Entry fee is 30ron for each adult; from the pin on the map the bus leaves every 30minutes and takes you underground; you ride with others on that bus, which refuse to wear masks, once they're aboard. Great place for adults and kids to have fun, relax and unwind all year round o any given weather. There are parking places right at the ticket office. (Free parking on weekdays, like we were) Adult ticket - 40 RON Entrance is once every 5-10 minute with a bus shuttle - road to the mine takes about 3-5 minutes drive. Once you get off the bus, to the entrance, you need to check your ticket at the tourniquets to enter. The salt mine has a lot of places destined for sports: tenis, ping-pong, football, basketball There is also a chapel further into the mine and we were surprised to see a sort of wine cellar 'Recaș' branch there. So, there is activity for all to enjoy. It's a good 👍 place to visit. I recommend this place, especially for families.

Nice place to do some healthy activities. Kids friendly, you can pay with card, pretty cheap entry fee. The bus that gets you into the mine it's super old, smells bad and it's kindda dirty. I recommend to have a sanitizer with you. Overall, if there's not crowded, you can enjoy the place!

Simple common place. You park and get on their bus which takes you inside. Bus comes and goes every 15 minutes. 20 lei adult, 10 lei child. Activities either 5 or 10 lei. E.g. half hour ping pong 10 lei. 4 wheel cycling cart 5 lei for 15 minutes. Same for trampoline. I think it is a very nice to visit and the activities help you pass the time

It's quite incredible what lays underneath a dull, communistic-looking parking lot. This salt mine isn't the best in the country, but it offers you a lot of activities in order not to get bored while inhaling the healthy salty air. Time flies if you're in good company and want to excel the target of your pedometer! P.S. You have to be ready to live some great contrasts, because the air from the tunnel is unbreathable, definitely not healthy for your lungs.

They are some idiots, after 80km and 2 hours of driving because of traffic, we arrived here at 15:45 to find out that they are closed from 15:30!

A great salt mine to spend time. It has everything for little kids to do: salt playgrounds, karts, minigolf, air sledge, trampolines, places where to play with the ball. Our little ones enjoyed a lot, and want to go again in the future. We visited when during a week of 30+ degrees, so the constant temperature of 14-16 degrees C was a plus.

Nice, big and quiet place to spend some time. Inside you can play basketball, tennis, table tennis, football, other games. You find here a church, one restaurant with warm food and another one with drinks.

A nice experience. You can try a lot of sports inside: ping pong, snooker, carting, mini golf, etc. Has also a souvenir shop and some small food and drinks amneties.

Even in a salt mine the Romanians make child friendly amenities. Not free... contribution required but worth it. Great treatment for sinus or breathing issues. Not easy to reach but once there...worth the effort.

This was a mind-blowing experience. They've really made good use of this salt mine for the public to enjoy. If you have all day to just play, I recommend a visit.

Very nice place for everyone from small kids till seniors. Amazing job done in this salt mine. A lot of entertainment places inside. Over expectations. Can be used for a day visit or weekly natural cure for a lot of respiratory diseases.

Great place to visit with kids. I gave 4 stars and not 5 because the restaurant was closed at 14.00 when we got there. We came straight from Transalpina, and we didn't stop at any restaurant as we wanted to get there early because the last entry is at 15.30 or so. It was not mentioned on the website that the restaurant would close early, resulting in two hungry kids.

Dirty busses, overcrowded, not enough seats for everyone. Not a lot of available facilities down in the salt mine (restaurant closed, not all pool tables usable, etc). Terrible bathrooms. Tickets overpriced for the provided experience.

    Simple but really pleasant experience

Original place inside an old mine. Salt effect is healthy and well known. Full of inner facilities to spend time (a shop, sport tools, cinema, restaurant, even a church for religious people). Not five stars because relaxing seats, present in the past, have been removed (that is a pity!). Easy parking outside (economic fee). Than about 10 minutes to enter the cave by a bus srrvice.
