Nice walk from the parking place. Big free parking and the visiting fee is only 5 lei. You can get pretty close to the Waterfall. There is also another trail from there, but I'm not sure where it takes you.

Great smooth easy hike towards the waterfall, even for very small kids. Tourists don't respect the limits/fences and approach the waterfall for pics. Nobody is there to reinforce the limit, though there are a few rangers from the National Park around.

Beautiful place. An easy trail. Enjoyable and relaxing walk. The waterfall was impressive, we didn't expect it to have such a large debit of water. Do visit it! 💕

Easy hike (about 3Km), totally doable with kids. We got there relatively early (around 10 AM), and there were only 3 cars in the parking lot. 2 hours later, when we returned, it was full. The exit from the national road might be difficult to spot because it is poorly signalized, and is also right on a curve.if you use Waze you should have no problems though. Make sure you have some cash, as you will need to pay the entrance in the national park, and the parking. You can also leave the car in the parking place near the motel on the national road, but you will have to cross the road after that on foot. The waterfall is not huge (about 25-30m), but is beautiful. It was a sunny day, so there was a nice rainbow at the base.

Made the trip at the beginning of summer. We left by foot from Căciulata. Not a good idea, no other way to reach but the E81 main road, so we had to walk on the road for 6 km. Better take the car , there is a parking spot at the entrance in the Cozia National Park. Entry fee is 5 lei per person. From there is a 2 km / 40-50 mins tripbtobthe waterfall. It's a forest road even for cars so it's not difficult. It's an up the Lotrisor river trip, nice and quiet. Once you get there you'll see it worth. Even it's artificial (man made somewhere 1970-1971) , it's the only river that goes through a tunnel for 20 meters before a 30 meters waterfall that makes it unique in Romania. You can even go on top of the waterfall , there is a pedestrian forest road to top, and if the water is low , you can even go in the tunnel through the water. A very nice place in Romania to visit.

5 lei charge. It's inside Cozia National Park . 1 hour walk by the river with amazing views. Great photos can be taken once you reach the waterfall. You can also continue the path through the forrest ,I didn't choose to this time.

It takes about three quarters of an hour to walk from the parking lot to the waterfall, but the road is worth going. We managed to capture a black goat perched on the rocks

The rather long way there/back, over an hour. It is left as sweat in case of acceleration. The landscape with the waterfall makes all the money. It's worth it, it's spectacular.

What a spectacular view! You won't be disappointed! Be advised that for reaching the waterfall a 2km hike on foot is needed, entry tickets costs 5Ron/1Eur pro Person.

I loved it at the waterfall. It is located in the Cozia National Park, where the Carpathian Eagle (Pajura), the Lynx, the Brown Bear, the Black Goat, the Carpathian Scorpion, the Snow Deer, the Uliul live.

Awesome hike, although you know you are in Romania because the trail smells like cigarettes... seriously, who smokes in Nature? There's a guy in the parking lot who asks for 10 lei.

Went to visit this amazing little place yesterday and how great of a way to spend the day it was. Close to Sibiu, in the vicinity of Cozia Monastery, this place is a nice easy 2 km walk (hike), which can be done with or without proper shoes and with or without kids. After the waterfall there is the possibility to hike further and it gets into the intermediate area, so all in all a bit for everybody. Clean, open area. We really enjoyed it.

Beautiful place, very peaceful and relaxing, only a bit of a hike from the parking lot. Since there are no vehicles allowed, you can really enjoy the forest air and sounds

👍👍 We parked outside this monastery for one cold night in early April 2023. I knocked on the door and was greeted by several monks, beach body ready they were rocking that spaghetti 🍝. After the main course they invited us further within the complex. Despite my mother's advice to never go with a monk...
