We
took
a
hike
from
Turnu
Monastery
to
Stanisoara
Monastery.
Parking
near
Turnu
Monastery
is
free.
The
route
covered
a
distance
of
10.7
kilometers,
including
the
time
spent
exploring
the
monastery
grounds,
enjoying
short
breaks,
and
having
snacks.
It
took
us
a
total
of
4
hours
and
40
minutes
(to
the
Stanisoara
Monastery
and
back).
The
route
passes
mainly
through
mountainous
and
forested
terrain:
many
climbs
(sometimes
at
an
angle
of
30
degrees),
descents.
On
the
route
you
will
come
across
a
huge
rock
with
a
cave
inside,
and
there
will
also
be
an
excellent
viewpoint
with
a
cross
at
the
top:
be
sure
to
climb
up,
the
view
of
the
rocks
and
mountains
is
simply
breathtaking!
By
the
end
of
the
journey,
our
knees
were
tired,
but
every
kilometer
of
this
route
was
worth
it.
For
those
with
more
endurance,
you
can
go
from
Stanisoara
Monastery
to
Cabana
Cosia
-
but
the
route
is
quite
steep
with
sharp
climbs.
But
if
you
get
to
the
top,
you
can
take
a
second
circular
route
back
to
Turnu
Monastery.
There
is
a
very
cute
donkey
on
the
premises
that
begs
for
food.
Be
careful:
there
are
also
two
large
guard
dogs
on
the
property!
