A great place and way to spend your day. Prepare yourself for a long walk tho :). You will be tired but it's worth it. Next time we will go prepared for a picnic 🧺 too.

Really nice experience: museum + nature+ history. Well maintained. We enjoyed walking around houses in the fields flowers. Not all houses was opened ( we have been in a week time). Playground for kids, possibility to ride a horse and a pony. If the kid would be bigger we could stay the whole day there. We did n9t find a restaurant.

Really nice place to go, only one hour from Bucharest. A lot nicer than the Village Museum in Bucharest. Houses are more taken care of, you can go inside them, display is amazing. The place is huge, there are a lot of fruit trees. One of the best places to go on the weekend.

A really nice surprise, museum + nature + history. It's worth visiting especially for the outdoor museum that's quite big and filled with old traditional houses and old equipments. You get to see how people used to live as you can enter some houses and all the yards are available for visiting, will definitely recommended it.

Nice place to visit for a few hours. It's close to Bucharest via A1 so fast to get there. The mansion is very well preserved and the furniture looks genuine. There are 6 rooms that you can visit on the ground floor and although there is a ladder, one cannot access the upper floor. There is also a huge garden transformed into a village museum which holds many village buildings some of which can be entered. Houses and the gardens of the houses are very well maintained. There is a raiding center so if you're up for it you can ride a horse or a ponney. They also have a zip line (maybe aprox 70 meters) Lack of nearby places to eat or diverse activities is a minus but overall worth the tine as the place is quiet and air is clean.

The place itself is very well managed and beautiful, but the story makes all the difference, so make sure you have a guide to tell it to you. Also the village in the back is very nice.

Besides the Astra Museum in Sibiu and the Village Museum in Bucharest, this is one of the nice village museums I have visited in Romania. The Golești Mansion is also very pretty and in great condition. Lovely way to spend 2-3 hours if you are in the area.

Nice place to visit - even tho' not all the places are open to visit, those that are along with the yard and with the houses museum worth the visit. Mind that during winter the visiting hours are 8am - 4pm

You need at least 1 hour to visit everything. The benches in the garden are really dirty so you cannot sit. Beside this, the place is worth a visit.

Beautiful place to spend the day. The main museum is well organized. The gardens are wonderfully and perfect for a picnic. A very nice place to get to know a piece of history and to enjoy the nature.

Amazing place. Very nicely explained. Very well organized. We recommend for groups to take a museum guide. It will be much more interesting. We recommend to everybody to visit it.

It is an amazing outdoor museum, both for adults and children. You can spend few hours here and go back in time, more then 200 years ago. There are some fantastic original houses of Romanian villagers, Golescu family house, horses and ponies, and also a church dated from the 17th century. As a downside, some of the houses are under restoration and cannot be visited, we could not find any restaurant inside the museum. Also if you have a small baby and it still uses a stroller it can be quite tricky as the pavement is supposed to imitate the Romanian villages so is made of small rocks.

Lovely and beautiful place, very interesting to walk between the houses and see how they once lived. The children participated in a nice sewing workshop.

Came here with 0 expectations, but was blown away by the fantastic restaurations of the mansion, park and old village cottages. The exterior village is the size of the one in Bucharest, Muzeul Satului in Herastrau Park. What made the visit even better was the low visitor count, this is not a well known attraction so there was room to breathe and enjoy.

Nice place with loads of greenery and interesting architecture. A good place for an outing and some fresh air. There was zip line and pony rides for kids.
