This
has
been
our
go-to
JitB
for
several
years.
Last
evening,
and.
yes,
it
was
Thanksgiving
and
wanting
to
get
out
of
the
house
and
not
in
the
mood
for
more
turkey
we
decided
on
Jack.
Relieved
that
it
was
open
we
got
in
line
at
the
drive
thru.
After
a
nearly
ten
minute
wait
we
got
up
to
the
speaker
and
after
a
couple
more
minutes
an
employee
got
on
the
speaker
and
announced,
"We're
closed".
Confused
since
it
was
7:12
which
is
an
odd
time
to
close
and
that
there
were
cars
ahead
of
us
in
line
I
asked
why.
The
worker
came
on,
curtly,
and
said,
"What?
You
don't
have
family?
and
"I'm
not
allowed
to
spend
time
with
them?"
I
said
that
we
understood
that,
but
asked
why
were
WE
the
ones
where
the
cutoff
was
made?
Finally,
in
a
snarky
tone,
he
said,
"Fine,
what
do
you
want?"
We
decided
there
was
now
ay
we
were
going
to
get
our
food
from
Jack
in
the
Box.
A
couple
of
things.
If
he
is
an
employee
and
he's
scheduled
to
work...whatever
shift
it
may
be.
Your
hours
are
posted.
If
management
saw
that
there
might
be
a
problem,
put
a
sign
up
that
at
7pm
(or
whatever
time)
due
to....staff
shortage,
holiday...whatever.,
we
will
be
closed.
Perfectly
understandable.
But
that's
not
what
happened.
Alternately,
he
could
have
called
his
supervisor
and
explained
the
situation.
And
as
an
aside
while
in
the
military,
I
missed
Thanksgiving
AND
Christmas
with
my
family
at
least
a
dozen
times
so
it
really
rubbed
me
raw
when
he
said
what
he
said.
Which
is
why,
in
these
situations,
we
thank
them
and
give
a
generous
tip,
even
at
fast
food
joints.
