One of the best beaches I saw in India. It's between Porbandar and Somnath connected through the most beautiful coastal highway in Gujarat. A must stop while heading to Somnath from Porbandar/Dwarka or vice versa. Enjoy a camel ride at beach (Just INR 100) and sip Coconut water while basking under sun and looking at the vast Arabian Sea. Best month to visit is from August till March.

Madhavpur Beach, one of the most popular beaches in Gujarat, is about 58 km away from Porbandar. When driving from Porbandar to Somnath, Madhavpurโ€”which is renowned for its long coastal routeโ€”offers breathtaking vistas. Among the most serene and beautiful places to explore near Junagadh is Madhavpur Beach. Because it is so peaceful, a family vacation there is well worth it. The shore is lined with lovely flora, including coconut trees. A journey there with the family is worthwhile because of the calm ocean. Madhavpur Beach is among the most exquisite sandy beaches in Gujarat. Madhavpur Beach, on Gujarat's Arabian Sea coast, is an excellent beach. The name Madhavpur comes from the famous ruler Madhav Rao. The local tradition holds that Madhavpur is where Lord Krishna wed Rukmini. Coconut trees border the shore, and the ocean is clean as crystal. Situated on Porbandar Veraval Street, this beach is probably the nicest in Gujarat and might be the best of all the beaches in the vicinity of Porbandar.

At a distance of 60 km from Porbandar, 74 km from Somnath, and 78 km from Junagadh, Madhavpur Beach is a stunning beach along the coast of Arabian Sea in Gujarat. Situated on Somnaath - Dhwarka Road. Madhavpur Beach is indeed one of the loveliest sandy beaches in Gujarat as this stunning beach presents a visual that is hard to compare with anything else. Named after the ruler Madhav Rao, the beach has become popular amongst the other beaches because of its scheduled location. The beach is lined with coconut trees and the waters here are clear. It is home to a two-decade-long conservation project of Green Sea and Olive Ridley turtles. Since the beach is less commercialized, it is very clean with azure blue waters that attract the people who want to spend some quality time with family and friends. Though the beach is not safe for swimming, one can try some activities like beach scooter, speed boating, parasailing, camel and horse rides here. The beach is well-endowed with the stalls of coconut water and snacks. The town also hosts the beautiful Madhavraiji Haveli Temple and Rukmini no Choro. Legend has it that Lord Krishna married Rukmini right here in Madhavpur. This belief is kept alive through the holding of a fair every year. Madhavpur is also culturally significant due to one of the seats of Vallabhacharya who is the founder of Pushtimarg Vaishnava Hindu sect.

A wonderful beach near my hometown. A 5 KM long ride with sea. Awesome atmosphere and peaceful place. Horse riding and camel riding service available. Food stalls also available. Need to improve quality in food stalls. The government have to maintain and improve in cleaning beach and coastal area.

The beach is very good, however lacking basic aminities like seating arrangement, toilet, bathrooms, change room etc. Can make this as beautiful place.

Nice beach for horse and camel riding. Not ideal for swimming here. Ocean seems rough here and deepens quick. Beggars were annoying. Small shops and owners are good. They ensure beach remains clean.

There are three beaches - 2 commercialized and one in the village, which is the most beautiful one.

Very cool and calm place. Best part to enjoy here is Sunset. Very beautiful place with less gathering and lots of free space. There is many options available like horse ride, camel ride, dirt bike ride etc. Best spot for friends and family picnic.. Best thing is that it's located on highway. Road from Porbandar or veraval is very smooth and less traffic. Go and enjoy.

I have been to many beaches but this is somewhat different because no one was even trying to swim. Personally i feel this place can be a good tourist attraction if state or local government wants it. Overall had peaceful experience here.

Humbled by this edifice. Immaculately maintained. In the time spent at this place i was deeply touched by the simplicity of Gandhiji as a person . There is a small souvenir shop selling some wonderful books and miniature โ€œ charkha โ€œ. A must visit place to understand where Indiaโ€™s freedom struggle was born.
