A
great
addition
to
Ranchi's
thriving
and
currently
at
toddler
stage
of
"Microbrewery"
scene!!
Myself,
hailing
from
ranchi
but
settled
in
Bangalore
for
last
17
years
which
is
undobtedly
the
Microbrewery
Capital
of
India,
I
was
very
much
excited
to
learn
that
freshly
brewed
beers
are
now
being
accessible
to
customers
and
hand
crafted
beer
lovers
and
enthusiasts
at
my
hometown
RANCHI!!
Just
to
add...
I
do
a
bit
of
home
brewing
myself
too....
😉
I
swear
that
I
was
not
let
down
with
my
quick
visit
to
this
place.
This
is
truly
a
GREAT
INITIATIVE
at
ranchi
where
the
concept
of
crafted
beers
is
yet
to
make
a
breakthrough
and
customers
are
yet
to
'enhance'
their
taste
further
(am
not
saying
develop
a
taste
for
craft
beers
-
as
that
certainly
has
been
achieved
already
and
was
evident
with
the
towers
of
beers
that
was
getting
ordered
during
my
~
1
hr
stint
here).
I
was
cordially
welcomed
and
even
provided
with
a
briefing
on
what
they
have
to
offer
on
tap.
The
attendant
appeared
somewhat
knowledgeable
on
the
brewing
space
however,
he
was
modest
to
mention
that
the
actual
technical
person
handling
the
brewing
was
not
him
but
someone
else.
He
also
was
kind
enough
to
allow
me
to
the
brewing
area
for
a
closer
look.
Thanks
to
him!
My
review
of
this
place
is
primarily
on
the
"Microbrewery"
part
and
not
of
it
as
a
pub/
bar
or
a
restaurant.
Frankly
speaking
I
was
not
having
the
apetite
for
food
and
hence
cannot
even
comment
on
the
food
part,
but
to
my
opinion,
as
per
the
looks...
all
of
them
appeared
tasty
and
interesting!
😀
The
ambience
was
neat,
with
some
loud
music
getting
played
after
a
while
in
the
evening
hours.
However,
it's
not
a
place
where
you
can
take
your
girlfriend
or
family
and
kids
as
the
crowd
was
predominantly
male.
Its
not
that
am
saying
its
not
safe,
as
the
crowd
appeared
decent
and
responsible
citizens.
However,
I
believe
unlike
cities
like
Bangalore,
where
we
do
have
family
with
kids
and
even
pets
welcome
to
Microbreweries,
it's
not
the
same
here
at
ranchi
as
yet.
What
to
expect?:
This
is
not
a
full
flegded
micro-brewery
as
yet
with
normal
5
-
6
varieties
of
craft
beers
available
on
tap
but
that
does
not
necessarily
mean
a
bad
thing.
This
place
knows
their
stuff
and
are
serious
in
the
brewing
business
and
hence
you
are
certain
to
relish
what
they
have
to
offer
you.
In
contrary
to
the
normal
'Microbrewery
Menu'
of
Belgian
Wheat,
German
Wheat,
IPA,
Stout,
Seasonals
and
few
other
varieties
always
available
on
tap
-
this
place
has
ONLY
2
craft
beers
available.
1.
Red
Ale
2.
Golden
King
The
"Red
Ale"
available
is
the
standard
Irish
Red
Ale
on
the
stronger
finish
and
with
an
ABV
of
arond
7%.
Historically,
Red
Ales,
unlike
American
Amber
Ales,
use
specialty
roasted
malts
that
create
a
unique
complexity
within
the
finished
beer,
give
it
a
sweeter,
butterscotch
or
caramelized
flavor,
and
allow
it
to
achieve
the
reddish
color.
The
beer
variety
also
has
certain
contrasting
elements
that
attract
many
of
its
drinkers.
While
Red
Ales
are
darker
and
usually
rich,
they
also
contain
components
of
a
much
lighter
beer
with
a
dry,
crisp
and
hoppy
finish.
The
"Golden
King"
available
on
offer
is
nothing
buta
Golden
Ale
type
of
craft
beer.
Flavor
wise,
this
sunny-hued
brew
is
simple
and
straight
forward.
It
is
balanced
with
a
little
bit
of
sweetness,
light
maltiness
and
a
hint
of
familiar
citrus
flavors.
Consider
it
clear
to
little
cloudy,
crisp
and
dry
with
little
to
no
after-taste.
And
with
a
modest
alcohol
content
around
5
to
6
%
ABV,
this
brew
is
a
light,
easy-drinking
alternative
to
heavier
beers
or
as
compared
to
the
other
sibling
available
here
-
Red
Ale.
To
summarize,
if
you
are
a
craft
beer
enthusiast...
then
this
is
a
MUST
VISIT
place
in
Ranchi
which
is
well
worth
the
price
and
you
won't
regret
your
experience
rather
may
find
yourself
being
a
'Regular
visitor'.
I
look
forward
to
my
next
visit
to
ranchi
for
again
getting
a
chance
to
visit
them.
3
Cheers!!!
to
the
Team
behind
all
this.
