It's near sarjana chowk in ranchi. South Indian food like idli, dosa, Vada etc are delicious here. Other than South Indian food they offer you a variety of Chinese and Indian food as well. During my last visit I had ordered chhole bhature here. I have waited nearly 5-7 min. When I got the food on my table. There are chhola, bhatura, onion slices and pickles on the plate. The taste of chhola was 3.5/5. Bhatura was perfect. The price was moderate not too high nor too low. Parking is an issue here. Service was very quick I can say.

This place just doesn't deserve to be called Madras coffee, Idli over here smells like it's been kept for ages before being served, it's hard and gooey .if I had to talk about Dosa, it was so bad that my friends couldn't even finish it, they were feeling like puking all the way back. Ok I can understand something things go wrong but how can you mess up the chutney this is one of the easiest things but no they did it they messed up all the three chutney as much as they could. Frankly, I don't think anyone will be able to appreciate it if they have ever tasted real south Indian. Apart from South Indian, I tried some Chinese food which was as mediocre as any roadside there Wala which is much cheaper than what they charge you over here.

The manager is more of business oriented than service oriented. Talks of money even on very small stuffs like extra paper cup for cup of coffee. Don't carry smile while serving. Although, restaurant is blessed to be crowded every now and then. A genuine feedback. If restaurant owner is reading, please take it constructively.

Found this randomly walking on this street. Went there for coffee but tried dosa and chowmein, which turned out good. There is no space for parking the street is full of hustle bustle.

Quality wise food is nice but quantity wise it is a bit underrated.

The restaurant is vegetarian and provides delicious chinese as well as South Indian dishes. It is opened till 10:00 PM and is situated at the main road. These days the quality of the food provided has significantly reduced as well as the staffs aren't able to manage both online and offline orders.

This is below average restaurant. Not truly south Indian. Worthless taste and packing. Behaviour is terrible. The best South Indian food is kuppuswami. Do not order on this restaurant.

Worst dosa I have ever tasted.

I went to this cafe for the first time today.Ordered filter coffee and onion bhajiya and truly loved both of it. After having Onion Bhajiyas we started craving for tea😀 hence ordered that too and it was also very good.

Best south indian food in jharkhand.... Just one word to describe it- amazing... Taste- 5/5 Presentation-5/5 Location-5/5 near St Xavier's College and main road Price - 5/5- very reasonable price- 100 rupees for masala dosa and 25 rs for filter coffee... It's masala dosa is better than Kaveri masala dosa which charges 150 for the same.

Masala dosa tasted way better when I went there as a kid. Now the quality is maintained but taste has definitely deteriorated. The problem from my understanding lies in the dosa batter and coconut chatni. The red chatni was fine and the sambhar was yummy.

It is good place to have South Indian food, The shop is very old, but the taste is still the same. The place is not very big but they have always changed the ambiance as time changes.

It used to be my favourite weekend spot with friends in the past. However, I've noticed a significant decline in the taste and quality of their food recently. Today, I ordered a Dosa, and unfortunately, it was still soggy, which left me quite disappointed again with the overall quality. Their is nothing like before.

Madras Cafe, Ranchi serves freshly prepared South Indian food/ snacks. Snacks such as noodles and rolls are also available here. Cleanliness is good. Still, one misses the aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the spices of Madras Coffee House of the decade of late 60s.
