Tagore hill is just situated 3 km away from the heart to the city. Its the best place to get a 360 degree view of the Ranchi city. There is no entry fee. Parking fee of ₹20 for 4 Wheelers and ₹10 for 2 wheelers. Time 9 AM to 5 PM. The view of sunrise and sunset from the hill top is one of the most beautiful things to see. You have to climb around 250 stairs to reach the top .

One of the oldest tourist attraction in Ranchi City. My first visit to this place was with my mother when I was 5 year old kid on my new bicycle. Till now I went there for n number of times. Recently i visited this place again after very long time. You people has to take steps to reach the hill. This hill is named after name of Jyotirindranath Tagore. I recommend people to visit but don't left the place by throwing litters there.

The view from the top was spell binding but, as the name suggests Tagore hills, the remainings of Elder Tagore's household should have been cleanly preserved. There was no furniture, sculptures are breaking down, and it's too dirty inside the house. There's nothing inside. Not properly maintained by Jharkhand Govt. It's a shame that this happens to cultural heritages of India and The govt does nothing just eats away all the money. Also it closes at 5pm so reach on time.

If you are in Ranchi junction and want to visit this then either you can reserve an auto and go there @₹200-250 or you can go via break journey at low cost @₹50-60/person. For this from Ranchi junction you have to take auto for Jail More(₹30-40) then from there Karamtoli(₹10) then karamtoli to Tagore hill(₹10). Good place to hang out and there is chill environment there at the top and a lot of greenery and a perfect place to stay for a while, there is no such any entry fees or something and parking area is there which is chargeable and also there is a canteen inside the area for some snacks.

The true value of the place is now gone due to cleanliness issue. The tourists and government should respect this place to keep it visit worthy. You need to climb 253 stairs and the top view is worth climbing but there are plastics and wrappers everywhere. Rabindranath Tagore's brother Jyotirindranath Tagore stayed here after his wife's death.

Right now this place is under construction so actual decency is missing but still it has some high points of it's own like the view from top is just mesmerizing.

It’s a historical nice place. But local government don’t take care properly that’s why windows and doors are broken empty house.
