Very attractive and beautiful place. It is situated in the mid of the ranchi lake. This project comes under one of the Jharkhand government's lake beautification scheme. It is very beautiful but the situation of lake is not very well. The lake is always dirty and not well maintained. Open time :- 10am - 5pm A program is organised by the authority on 12th of January each year in the memory of Vivekanananda. Here you can find the Beauty and Pollution both are directly proportional to each other. Visit for your own satisfaction and experience. Thank you.

This statue represents the strength of youth. It is a step from Government of Jharkhand for increasing tourism in Jharkhand. This statue was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Jharkhand Shri Raghubar Das on the occasion of Vivekananda Jayanti on 12th of January 2018. Thos is like pride of Ranchi . bcouse A Grate Person of India Swami Vivekananda's big statue is situated here but failure of local authority and ignore .. Thas cause a lot of pollution and garbage near lake . At that time i reached there i saw a local person throw away garbage into lake .

Being well-maintained by the authorities, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a relaxed evening and is ideal for picnics. The Ranchi hill itself is a popular tourist destination, it also has a Shiv Mandir at its top and one can get a panoramic view of the entire city from there.

Very large statue of Swami Vivekananda ♥️ but you are not allowed to enter and see the statue from nearby.Most of the time this is closed.You can just enjoy the sight from the bank of the ranchi lake.But afterall,I liked this place.One of nice sight seeing of Ranchi city.If you visited ranchi ,I would suggest you to visit this place once ❣️

This statue has been built by noted sculptor Mr. Ram V Sultar on Swami Vivekananda’s 156th Birth Anniversary. It’s 33 feet tall bronze statue. Good initiate from government to promote tourism in Ranchi. Infrastructure need to be more standard. Construction is done by Shapoorji Pallonji but the standard of work is not good.

It is situated in a very prominent location in Ranchi City, on one side overlooking Pahadi Shiv ji mandir. Being a tallest statue of Swamiji installed anywhere in India so far. The City authorities and the Government are seriously planning to clean the lake. Once that is done than it will become more attractive places for all the people to visit in Ranchi.

It is one of the famous name in Ranchi. I don't think A single person have not heard about it for a single time. It is currently closed mean you can't visit to the statue but you can watch it. It is free of cost. There's no need of any payment required here.

This place is popularly known as Bada talab. Few years ago in BJP govt. Statue construction was started but not yet completed. Here few words about Swami Vivekananda; 12 January 1863 – 4 July 1902), born Narendranath Datta, was an IndianHindu monk, a chief disciple of the 19th-century Indian mystic Ramakrishna. He was a key figure in the introduction of the Indian philosophies of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world and is credited with raising interfaith awareness, bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion during the late 19th century.He was a major force in the revival of Hinduism in India, and contributed to the concept of nationalism in colonial India.[9] Vivekananda founded the Ramakrishna Math and the Ramakrishna Mission.He is perhaps best known for his speech which began with the words - "Sisters and brothers of America ...,"in which he introduced Hinduism at the Parliament of the World's Religions in Chicago in 1893.

Lake is not well maintained. The bridge is not open for public. It is under construction and we cannot go near the statue. (As on July 2019)
