Clean and good environment. All the animals are well fed and are nurtured with great care. Good to take kids. But park is too big so you should prefer battery vehicles when with kids car tickets can be booked inside the park left to the entrance and there is option for cycles too. The best part is it'll fit in your budget as the price of ticket was around 15/- to 30/- per person. Similarly, minimal charges are fixed for the Aquarium and the snake house. Parking fee is Rs 40, and its better to park your vehicles inside the gate. Entry fee is Rs 30 per adult. Toilets are clean and well maintained. Overall a nice place to spend your day.

The major breeding species are Sloth Bear, Himalayan Black Bear, Leopard Cat, Gharial, Lion, Hyaena, Fox, Jackal, different species of Deers & Antelope, Indian Peafowl and Pheasants. It provides a natural habitat to wild animals to live in peace and harmony with the nature. It is situated on the Ranchi-Ramgarah highway.

You can visit this zoo , speacially when you are planning outing with friends. Kids would love to see the beautiful birds and then the various kinds of animals. Even you will see different trees all around. Ambience is apt for families and friends both. The best part is it'll fit in your budget as the price of ticket was around 15/- to 30/- per person. Similarly, minimal charges are fixed for the Aquarium and the snake house. Also, you will get food at a much affordable price. The restaurant is located inside the zoo, beside the boating area.

Located away from the city on Ranchi-Khunti Road, Bhagwan Birsa biological deer park breeds two types of deer- Sambar and Chital and boasts of housing 45 sambar deer and 129 chital deer. Numerous viewing points have been constructed inside the park for visitors to observe the wildlife. The panoramic view of the park from these towers is breathtaking. Spread across an area of 23 ha, the park also houses a wide variety of trees such as Sal, Bel, Neem and Ber. If you are visiting with children, do check out the Children’s Park located near the entrance. It also has a canteen and other facilities to ensure a comfortable experience. Don’t forget to visit the Ranchi River which is next to the park for a relaxing experience.

Birsa Zoological Park.. A great place to spend some time close to the nature. The park is beautifully maintained. This park is one of the most beautiful places to visit in jharkhand. Easily accessible place. Varieties of animals and birds are there in the park. Different types of snakes are also there in the park. Better to take battery operated car which are few in numbers if you are visiting with very young children or with elderly, as you have to walk a lot.

A zoo is the place where your kids can experience biodiversity beyond the digital world. The communication of this place is very good. You can also get shared auto from booti more. (Monday Closed) Entry ticket Upto 3years Nil 3 to 12 years 20/- Rest all 60/- It is a plastic free zone so guards cannot allow any single use plastic inside the zoo. you cannot bring foods also. A canteen is available in it but it is a little bit costly. You can hire a battery operated cart for watching. They charged 600/- onwards. I recommend you to visit this place with your family to relax your mind and hope your kids will enjoy and experience the new world .

This zoo has lots of animals and greenery, so it feels good while visiting and you don't feel tired, also riding vehicles there, if you don't want to walk or have children. Parking space is ample, This Ranchi Zoo was established in 1994 at the bank of Getalsud Dam and on the main Patna-Ranchi highway. The park has two divisions the zoological section is dedicated in 83 hectare and botanical section is spread over 21 hectare

-Its quite open and lush green zoo. Though battery vehicles take you around the zoo, I would recommend you to walk and explore if you can. -Its around 6 kms walk and you can cover in 3 hrs while exploring and taking pics. Keep a bottle of water and snacks with yourself. There is one canteen inside the zoo. - Parking fee is Rs 40, and its better to park your vehicles inside the gate. Entry fee is Rs 30 per adult. Toilets are clean and well maintained. Overall a nice place to spend your day.

The best place to visit with kids and family i personally don't liked seeing predators and birds in small cages.. Feld bad that tiger was trying to escape his place and roaring continue (adding video also).. But liked seeing other animals like heard of sambar, spotted dear, chital dear(they were enjoying their meal with out any fear) Hippo, Bisons, Nil gaaye, They charge 60₹ for entry and 50 ₹ for Parking.. And just opposite to Zoo don't forget to visit butterfly park and Fish Aquarium and i suggest better first visit butterfly park and park your vehicle there only and save your another parking charges... (we visited different days 😅) We visited Butterfly park and Fish Aquarium Butterfly park is ok-ok if you are going with kids so as a park with lots of plants and flowers you can enjoy it.. Aquarium house is good.. Like the cleanliness. Entrance charges are applicable here for both separately, For Adults ₹30 For Kids between 3 to 12 ₹15 And for parking ₹20 And don't forget to sip some lemon tea outside of the park from the street seller it was so relaxing and refreshing ❣️

(Translated by Google) Bhagwan Birsa Munda Park This park is located in Ormanjhi Ranchi. If you want to visit this park, then by fixing a certain time, you will come here to see such unique creatures, birds, trees, plants and many such unique things that you will be forced to press fingers under the teeth. You have to get a ticket before entering the zoo. Right now the ticket price is from ₹ 40 to ₹ 80 so. If you want to do an e-rickshaw, you have to get a ticket for that separately, you can take the price of an e-rickshaw from one hundred rupees to ₹ 500. With an e-rickshaw, you can easily roam the entire zoo. If you travel on foot you will have to spend a lot of time. If you are capable of walking, then you can enjoy the whole zoo by walking. You will find something written about it. If you want someone to reach here with your project, then you can roam freely at A Place. You will get to learn a lot more here. Be careful if there is an accident here, you are immediately contacting the staff present there. The end of the age is a map of the zoo. You will get to see there. You ask that by capturing macaca you can roam the entire zoo easily where you To go to Or you can also hire a local guide there. I hope that this review will be helpful to you. If you have got help, then please like the review. Thank you. Birsa jaiwk udyan is very beautiful place in outskirts of ranchi to visit it's kids friendly lots of animals are kept and taken care in natural forest cover which is more than 3 kms of walk. For elderly persons and family battery operated vehicles are available in very cheap rate I would personally recommend to this facility which is available just as you enter park. Please avoid feeding of animals as it is not recommend and also not good for there health. Best place for school kids to visit. Johar Namaste 🙏

This place is such a fine discovery! They have so many animals! Though I wish the elephant could be viewed in a free setting like other animals, without the mahout. We were able to see tiger, leopard, black leopard, hippopotamus, bear, cheeta cat , birds although the snake house was closed in winter. We didn't have enough time for the aquarium. We reached at 10:40 and had a very leisurely kind of stroll across the park and viewing all animals took us around 5 hours, excluding snake house. The aquarium is across the road and it's India's biggest aquarium apparently. So make sure you have time for it. It closes at 4. Plan accordingly.

The best zoo in my life... Everything is there in order. The place is spacious. One can have the feel of jungle rather than a zoo only. Here and there are food stall. The foods are lovely and tasty and within reasonable price. One can have rest awhile and then again start. It would be a jungle safari rather than watching a zoo. Boating is also available. I think the whole day is needed to watch the zoo properly....Great thinking.... Some photos are given.

Good collection of endangered species and birds. Entry fee is Rs. 40 per person. Try to avail an electric-rickshaw (@rs.240/hr-6 seater) for easy commute and it will help you cover almost the whole zoo within a short period. Otherwise, taking cycles or walking is also feasible. Chairs or benches have been set up for resting. Washrooms are also available at certain spots all around the zoo. Snake museum fee is Rs. 20 per person. It's not a must watch but you can give it a try. Animals are in good condition. The environment is kid-friendly. It's a must watch place in Ranchi. Car parking fee is Rs. 40. You can also visit the aquarium nearby.

Only 20 km from Ranchi and you will be in the lap of Mother Nature... Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park.... serene, peaceful, vast and most of all you will find animals in their natural habitat, a thing most uncommon in most of the zoos. Only 40 + 10 rupees, and Nature and her children will be for you for a whole day. Bring kids with you...this is the ideal place for them to get acquainted with Mother.

Visited the zoo with my kids on 30.12.23. There was a long queue, thank God, I booked the ticket online. The zoo is getting better everyone I visit it. There are almost every animal and birds for the children to enjoy and learn about the wildlife. Elephant there is an added attraction. We were mesmerized by the way it was trained by its mahout. Really impressive.

The zoo felt great. There were large variety of birds and animals. So if you are traveling with elderly people I would recommend taking e-taxis which can be booked at reasonable prices once you enter the park. Although during my visit there were only 3-4 e-taxis, so it may not be available for everyone all the time and you may need to wait for 1-2 hours for it to be available. The total travel by foot is about 2-3 km so plan accordingly. I will suggest visiting zoo during winters as it won't be too hot while travelling and animals come out for the sunlight. There were plenty of spots for sitting throughout the zoo with availability of drinking water and public restrooms. Although I would prefer taking your own water bottles. Overall the experience was great. Definitely recommend going there with family. Note: During winters the snake house is closed. Note: Zoo remains closed on mondays.

This park is a must visit just 18 km away from main Ranchi. The ticket price per person is just Rs 40 and there is 10 separately for the snake museum. Most peaceful place to take a breath and find your inner peace. It is a safe place to travel alone as there are cameras everywhere, No thieves and no snatch stress. Also a nice place to visit and you will feel the vibe of nature. Best place to spend time with family and kids.E-Vehicle is available here for wandering there. There you will see different types of trees and plants.Boating facility is also available.

Birsa zoological park is one of the important attraction of Ranchi. It's approx 30km from Ranchi and usually takes 30 to 40 minutes to reach here. The operating time is from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM besides Monday, the park is closed on Monday. The ticket price is Rs 40 per person. You can travel by yourself or you can hire an electric car which costs 40 Rs per person or Rs 240 for the whole. You can easily cover the entire park in four hours by yourself and even you can book a cycle. You'll see different species of animals and birds including Tiger, Lion, Hyena, Elephant, Fox, Deer, Owl, Crocodile, Alligator and many more. You can ride a water boat here too. You'll find a cafetería here but usually it charges more than MRP. Always carry a water bottle so that you don't get dehydrated. Don't forget to see snakes which costs only Rs 10.

Widespread and vivacious, the zoo features a wide range of flora and fauna across 12 hectares of area. Birds, crocodiles, elephant, bear, tiger, lion, leopard, hippo along with some exotic species too makes this a amiable day to spent on. Snake house is a treat at the end. Situated 15 kms from city it has nominal entry fee of 40 per head. Remains closed on Mondays. Plenty of eateries outside awa inside. Well maintained by the forest department too.

Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park is the largest zoo in Ranchi, it looks very beautiful and very grand. Spread over a few acres, the zoo is the center of attraction. Here you will find many wild animals, species of birds, species of snakes and species of other aquatic creatures, it has been built by surrounding the dense forests falling from the green nature. You can come here with family and friends for a picnic. All services from food to drinks are available here.

I suggest that before having a visit over here please consider the weather, day and time. These days the water level in the reservoir is low thus you would not be able to enjoy boating and on Monday the zoo is usually closed. Keep an umbrella if you are planning to explore on foot rather than an electric car or bicycle. Generally on sunny days animals prefer to lay low so don't expect them to entertain you in this weather. Canteen has a good site location and decent menu.

It's a place very much natural place near Ranchi. You can feel like roaming inside a deep forest. The area is vast. But if you got late and the sun is not in the sky. It's feeling horrible. You can't find sufficient light inside the park.so be careful about that.

Best place to enjoy with the friends and family, We have visited this place yesterday with family & friends ..we have booked a battery operated car which is available at Rs 240/- for 6 persons ...this guided tour is better for the tourist to save time & walking a long ..we saw tiger , lion , bear , elephant, jackle, dear , crocodile , peacock, ostrich etc...as we were informed more animals & birds are taken to this zoo ..so one time visit would be worthy specially kids would enjoy a lot , children's park & restaurant are there ..rs 40 per person is the admission fee ..we enjoyed thoroughly ...

Nice zoo. Good place to visit with kids. It is equipped with wheelchair or stroller for kids. It's all green with lots of trees. It has animals like white tiger, lion, leopard, indian tiger. This was earlier known as Ormajhi zoo. Nice place for kids to walk and watch animals. It has place for boating as well. There is only one canteen inside which serves fast food near Lake or boating place. You can buy some random things to eat outside the zoo. mainly cotton candy, tea, groundnuts are available here.which you can walk and eat. There is no drinking water available inside. Carry water with you.

Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park is the most famous tourist attraction in Ranchi. The park is situated in Ormanjhi. The opening time is 9:00 AM and closing time is 4:30 PM. It takes almost 3-4 hours to travel the entiire park on foot. But one can get battery operated vehicle too on hourly basis. The entry fee for adults is Rs,40 . The park houses a bird house ( Peacock, pelican, parrot, love birds, Ostrich, emu, owl, Brahmani Duck, etc), a snake house ( Pit Viper, rat snake, cat snake, stripped keelback, indian python, cobra, krait, trinket snake, sand boe, wolf snake, viper, krait) apart from lion, tiger, white tiger, leopard, elephant, langur, monkey, hippo, crocodile, mugger, black bear, white deer, Nilgay, spotted deer, hyena, porcupine, fox, jackal, barking deer, sambhar, blackbuck. There is a boat house too. There is also a small canteen where you can get chole bhature, chow, paneer chilli, icecream, cold drinks, cakes biscuits. Please note that there is no non veg food stall here. it is a good place to visit one specially for children. Though it is outside Ranchi but you can easily get sharing auto frequently which connects to Booty more in just Rs.20 . So you do not have to reserve an auto ( unless you prefer) at high price.

There was lots of trees in park. Really good area with natural beauty. Enjoyed lots with friends. We have visited this place yesterday with family & friends ..we have booked a battery operated car which is available at Rs 240/- for 6 persons ...this guided tour is btr for the tourist to save time & walking a long ..we saw tiger , lion , bear , elephant, ja Birsa zoological park is 30 minutes drive from Ranchi depends where is your starting point in Ranchi, but mostly it will take 30 to 40 minutes and also depends on the traffic. It is nicely maintained and clean, various species of animals and birds are housed here. Some important points are Its closed on Monday and open in rest of the days. Better to take battery operated car which are few in numbers if you are visiting with very young children or with elderly, as you have to walk a lot. On Sunday its over crowded and chances you will not get battery operated car, even parking space. I suggest to visit on other day and avoid Sunday and definitely Monday. Have enough drinking water as you will not get it inside when you enter. Its a nice place to spend time with your family, your child will surely love it. Also there is aquarium on the other side of Road outside park which is also well maintained and must visit if you are visiting zoo.

Best place for tour family & Friend.Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park is located off [chakla village]Ormanjhi in Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. Ranchi Zoo was established in 1994 at the bank of Getalsud Dam and on the main Patna-Ranchi highway. The park has two divisions the zoological section is dedicated in 83 hectare and botanical section is spread over 21 hectare.

As a zoological garden, it is beautiful. Animals are being kept within the wilderness (although in cages). You will feel good among sal trees. Most of the animals are there, appart from zebra, ziraffe and some few. You will not waste your time by visiting here,I am sure. There are also facilities of visiting the zoo with electrical cars or even with cycles. There is a canteen which is also not overpriced and provide food above average.

I have been to many zoos, this zoo is not super exciting. This is built in a very big piece of land, hence too much of walking. I didn't note that they had cycling option also available. I would recommend renting out bicycles as you would get tired of walking at the end. They have a good variety of animals but placement is not proper. Many places the there are double cages, cages are very far and you cant see animals properly. The food canteen is located near the boating area in the center. Its not accessible from the entrance or the exit. So if you are hungry at other times, you need to hold your hunger. The boating area is closed since very long. Roads and pathways are well built in the first half, while there is kaccha roads in the remaining half. Much unused land is just lying vacant and you just have to keep walking. I appreciate they have build seating arrangements at many places.

Visiting Bhagwan Birsa Biological Park was awesome. We have visited the zoo several times. Among all of the visits until now the recent one in July 2023 was wonderful. Entry fee per head is Rs 40. And, four wheeler parking charges Rs 40 which is a bit expensive. There is a lot of improvement that happened in the zoo in a decade. Battery operated vehicles have been onboard inside the zoo to visit all locations. EV charges Rs 240 for 6 seaters and Rs 520 for 13 seaters. The number of the EV must be increased as it took a long time to wait for the vehicle to get available. Boating has also started inside the zoo on the lake but in summer it generally stopped due to the lake getting dried. There was a good collection of wild animals of various species such as wild cats, birds, water & land wild animals and reptiles. Excellent provisions are provided to the animals, many staff are assigned to take care of the animals. The place gives immense serenity and peace because of dense forest maintained with a lot of trees and plants. One of the best things inside the zoo is that drinking water is available at every place which would be helpful in summer for the people walking through. Baby care rooms are available as well for mothers to change diapers for their babies. An excellent drive way and walking pathway are built inside the zoo covering all the animal cages. Overall experience was splendid to visit the zoo with family.

Pros: - Greenery, it's quite a Jungle indeed - Walking trails (around 8-8.5k steps overall) - Good set of Animals in the park - Drinking water stations - Sitting Arrangement throughout the trail - Boating Facility Available (Pedal Boats) - Washroom/Restrooms inside the park - Snake House (Tickets to be purchased separately) - Well maintained, trimmed trees and shrubs - Paid Parking space available - Separate ticket lines for male and female (even if it's the same counter with people Sitting on the other side) Cons: - Management does not care about the time and money of the visitors. There are cages but no animals inside it and there is no information available on which animals are not available. - While the rules ask visitor not to throw anything inside the case, the elephant rider is proactively asking visitor to throw cash, coins inside the elephant yard for him to collect it later. - Snake House is simply too less for the 10rs ticket as there may be not even 10 varieties of snakes available. Couple of cages are empty and couple have same variety. - Not enough watchers to regulate the rules and visitors don't care unless anyone is there is reinforce it Here you go: Overall, it was quite a memorable day as it had been more than 10 years since I visited this Zoo last. Alot has changed and it changed for good. I was surprised to see the improved and was excited to realize that this much has been done over a decade. With Couple of tigers and Lion(and lioness) in the zoo, things were quite adventurous. Missed to see wolf, Hynaes. Limited crocs for name sake and baby elephant to fill the yard. Limited birds, but starting with peacocks was still a delight and ending with monkeys is always fun in a way. It rained when I completed almost 85%of the trail so that spoiled the fun towards the end but overall it was quite a interesting one. The facilities created for water, washrooms, sitting spaces with sheds, etc quite a thoughtfulness there. I would anyways ask the Zoo management to educate their elephant riders who talks about lord Ganesh blessing and ask money in turn. A Zoo should not be made a place of religion but education and awareness for real and that too about the species. A good weekend gateway, perfect for solo. Couple and family visitors. Would recommend carrying Water and umbrella while getting in as no one likes to have their experience ruined with rain and because of dehydration.

The zoo is well maintained but the no. of animals in some of their cages or areas were empty. In the zoo animals are treated so nicely and there is also a park or field at the centre of the zoo where you can rest and eat some of the stuffs and also there are so many shops near the park so you can buy anything you want to eat.
