(Translated by Google) Deulghata seen back Garjaypur, Purulia This ancient shrine is located about 30 km away from the city of Purulia. The word Deulghata means "assembly" of a temple or deul. Religious on the one hand and such historical places on the other; The only such pattern of Buddhist and Hindu archeology is found here in Purulia, but unfortunately the Deulghata has become a ruin today with the invasion of the Vene Desi and the passage of time. But what remains after all this is a good example of the art of ancient civilization. Located on the banks of the river Kangsavati, this Deulghata has witnessed many historical ups and downs. The first to set foot here were the Aryan sages of the Vedic period. Then came the golden age of Buddhism during the reign of Emperor Ashoka, at which time Buddhism spread to the villages of India. It can be said that there is evidence of Buddhist prestige here from the time of Ashoka to Konisk, although it is very little. Then Shankaracharya appeared in India around the middle of the seventh century, Many Buddhist monasteries became Hindu temples under the influence of Shankaracharya. Probably since then the place has been called Deulghata. Deulghata was then the seat of Hindu gods and goddesses but that glory did not last long. The soil of Deulghata turned red with the blood of Hindu saints, the barbaric infidels destroyed everything, the largest shrine in the region became a crematorium. Life was lost in the hands of Aryan sages, it fell into the hands of Shankaracharya after getting close to the Buddhists, then everything ended in the persecution of heretics. Deulghata gradually turned into a jungle. At present, worship is done around the remaining idols and deuls. A huge Makar Mela is held here in the month of Poush and a Baruni Mela is held here in the month of Chaitra. This waterfall is located on Khunti-Tamad road 20kms from the district headquarter. It is located on Tajnariver. Rani fall is known for its slow river flow with sand bank around which makes it safe for tourist. The falls as such are just large rapids. There are spots which are safe for people to lounge in, small pools with water falling from low heights above. There are some larger descents too, which have good viewing posts created so that they can be enjoyed from above. In the rainy season the view must be marvelous as the water tumbles over the falls into the valley beyond. There is a walkway built along the falls that takes one to many look out posts overlooking the falls. They offered good views. There is a general caution issued regarding these areas as they are supposed to be home to the Naxalites. Thus visitors are better advised to leave before sun down

This place is highest point in the park. There are big size stones here at this point. In front of the stone there is deep shallow. You can see sunset. The sunset time is very romantic moment. If you want to see sunset then seat on the stone and wait for the sunset. But be careful stones peak point are dangerous. To climb on the stone please take help from each other. Visit here in the evening time. Atmosphere are good in rainy season and winter season. Thanks.

Deulghata - Glorious History of Ancient Bengal Deulghata, literally meaning “the land of temples” in Bengali, is considered as one of the rich heritage sites of Purulia district as it bears the marks of ancient Indian history, especially Jainism. There were three brick temples out of which two are extant at present. The third one which was the biggest of the three collapsed a few years back because of a man-made accident. These are standing on the bank of river Kasai in Jaipur Boram village, almost 30km from Purulia town. Apart from these brick temples, there are some signs of a couple of stone temples too. Overwhelming natural beauty of Palash and Shimul encircles the whole place. Surviving two temples (Deul) of Deulghata , still standing with dignity despite all natural calamities and human negligence.

Deulghat, a place near Boram in Arsha PS. It has the ruins of 15 temples near the Kansai River. The stucco decoration is the notable architecture made on the temple. The entrances of those temples are entangled with the branches of trees, casting an eerie. However these temples are the representations of the age, when they were built. The excellent skills are evident in the wreckage of the temples and idols reflect strong evidences of SEN & PAL empires. Moreover the temples adorned with the graceful carve, attracts visitors, and hence are important in the tourism of Purulia.

No one knows about this place as such. It is a beautiful place with so much history ingrained in it. The local people are full of love and really welcoming. I would love to visit the place again. It would be great if the govt takes action to preserve the over 2000 years old temples.

An ancient temple probably of Jainism origins which was later converted to worshipping Shiva. The complex is in ruins with zero maintenance and security. A prime example of how our history and heritage is lost even after so many years of independence.

As a explorer and natural beauty lover.... I didn't find anything interesting at this place. I was thinking it is fall but the amount of water is flowing is very less & it more likely feels like a very small canal (we call it nahariya). But I have seen so many families going out there cooking & enjoying. So better say it is family destination not the place you want to come again and again to be lost in the nature....... These are my views yours might differ.

Small temple located in open ground. This empire was build by Buddhist in their art of religion. Many things to know about that place. This is not as simple as you can see .You must have to go there to know the mystery about this place. A book is also available in there.

Near to Begunkodor Boram, on Kasai river bank, this is a n ancient temple city. Few have been excavated, many still underground. Here history speaks. Accommodation - better option is to stay at Muruguma or Ayodhya hills and go for a day visit. Nearest Rail head - Begunkodor.

(Translated by Google) This place is a very ancient famous historical place. The place is located on the banks of the river Kangsavati. The road is very bad at the moment. However, the natural beauty of the place is very beautiful. There are 2 very ancient temples here. The temple was built between the 8th and 10th centuries. There were 14 temples in all. Currently there are only 2 survivors. His condition is also very bad. The whole forest is covered. These will be destroyed at any time. So many valuable archeological specimens are being lost without preservation. Preservation is needed immediately. The work of the temple is very beautiful. Very good for kids not very risky place. Good place for Photo shoot. This is one of the best picnic spot and for relaxing .There is no fall really but in the rainy season you can see. This is just 2km inside from the Khunti -Tamar Road ,15 km away from khunti. But there needs precautions while going there as the road is single from the main road you enter for the spot. There is a river 400 m before the spot which has no bridge but is just filled with soil to cross by.There is high risk if there is rain ,so be alert.Between Dec 28th to Jan.10 You can find people selling somethings but in rest of the days you can't find anything. You can't even meet people there .There is however huts and rooms are being built. There is a view point from where you can see the beauty of the place. But better to leave the place before 4pm
