People who are supposed to Take Care of the Palace are irresponsible. They have just maintained the Front Portion of the Palace. This is an Asset and shame on these Care Takers who don't bother to Respect this Assest at all and take care and maintain it in a better way. The Pictures which have been posted below would describe the actual condition of this Beautiful Assest and Shameless Deeds of the Care Takes of this Palace.

This museum showcases all the tribes of Jharkhand. They have scale models in glass boxes showing the tribal people in their habitat. There is not much to see, but you can go there if you want to do some study on the tribals. The two storey structure has some nice architecture though.

Driving on the new ring road was our immediate reason for visiting the Ratu Mahal. A red brick mansion, it's architecture is in the Neo Edwardian British Raj buildings. The mahal is not open to public but the view from the gate clearly informs that the place has seen better days. Apart from living quarters one can see two important structures. In the far corner is the revenue office where revenue payers came to deposit land tax. Outside is a Jagannath Temple where pooja is offered on daily basis. There are no facilities for casual tourists and the guards are clueless if you ask for a urinal. The new road network has pulled Ratu within Ranchi city limits. Ratu Mahal is destined to become a tourist attraction and sooner or later it needs to be taken over by the Govt. and made into a museum with gardens and tourist convenience and attractions

Ratu’s royal palace, 15km from Ranchi on Ranchi-Daltonganj Road. Ratu’s palace is without a king. Curtains have fallen on the 2,000-year-old Nagvanshi dynasty with the death of octogenarian Chintamani Sharan Nath Lal Shahdeo, the last Maharaja of Ratu after Buckingham Palace of Westminster (London), the 103-room palace at Ratu also has manicured gardens conceptualised by Maharaja Uday Pratap during 1899-1901.

If you get a chance to visit inside the campus you'll find it much more beautiful than any of the parks in Ranchi. The palace is a part of attraction during dashahara. Outsiders are allowed to enter only during dashahara, jagannath mela and a very few other locations.

Place is so so. Don’t expect or compare it with other forts. It is well maintained and small palace. It is not open to visit from inside. It only open at time of Dushehra for few days. Also Durga Puja organised within Palace. Good to visit during Durga Puja. Lot of street food and street market during Durga Puja.

Great place to learn about the culture and heritage of Jharkhand's adiwasis. You can find some early and forgotten metal instruments or skills used by the adiwasi in day to day life. Bring you one step closer to understand Jharkhand and its people. Sad to know that the movie projection is out of operated which was scheduled to start at 12 noon. Photography is not allowed inside. But worth seeing it once for its showcase..👍

Tribal Museum is a rich tapestry of exhaustive exhibits showcasing the tribal art and culture. It highlights various aspects of the tribes in Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh. The artistic displays are mesmerising as it creates awareness about the tribal rituals, customs, forms of worship and so on. Former President Pranab Mukherjee inaugurated the museum of Tribal Heritage on June 6, 2013. It was created and dedicated to the tribal people of Madhya Pradesh. The vast gallery showcases the way of life of seven significant tribes of Madhya Pradesh - The Bheel, Gond, Korku, Baiga, Sahariya, Bhariya and Kol. Spread across 7 acres of land, Tribal Museum also holds an auditorium, a small boutique shop of artefacts and a restaurant. It stands out from the rest of museums in the country because of the way the exhibits are canvassed. Although the artworks are difficult to decipher, it beautifully depicts the tales of tribes. The museum occasionally organises activities based on the cultural forms such as talk show, poetry, vocal play, film and dance. With over 30% of the tribal population, this rich repository of traditional artwork and aesthetics is commissioned by the Government of Madhya Pradesh.
