History of Jainism is the history of a religion founded in Ancient India. Jains trace their history through twenty-four tirthankara and revere Rishabhanatha as the first tirthankara(in the present time-cycle). Its roots can be traced as early in the Indus valley civilizationprior to the Vedic period.[2][3][4][5] The last two tirthankara, the 23rd tirthankara Parshvanatha(c. 872 – c. 772 BCE)[6][7] and the 24th tirthankara Mahavira (c. 599 – c. 527 BCE)[8]are considered historical figures.[9][10]Mahavira was the elder contemporary of the Buddha.[11] According to Jain texts, the 22nd Tirthankara Arshth-nemi[12] lived about 85,000 years ago and was the cousin of Hindu god Krishna.[13][14] Jains consider their religion eternal.[15] The two main sects of Jainism, the Digambaraand the Śvētāmbara sect, likely started forming about the 3rd century BCE and the schism was complete by about 5th century CE.[16][17] These sects later subdivided into several sub-sects such as Sthānakavāsī and Terapanthis.[18] Jainism co-existed with Buddhism and Hinduism in ancient and medieval India. A big four storey function hall. Halls are specious, clean with all amenities. The location is on a prominent road ,is easily noticeable and accessible from the main road. Parking arrangement is inadequate.

Spacious rooms and halls, lift facility available, the caretakers and staff really do listen to what you need. Suitable place to organize family events. All rooms have AC and are well ventilated.

It is a nice place to stay and also banquet hall is nice. Any party or marriage can be conducted there.

Such an welcome change at Chatar-Patar after no so good experience on untidy streets of Ranchi. Clean, hygenic, well maintained, affordable place to get tasty chats and sandwiches. Wish Chatar Patar didn't just "khole muh ka shutter", but also Ranchi administrations dimag ka shutter :) A must visit in Ranchi!

Good food, I have not tried everything, but whatever I tried, I was completely satisfied with the taste. So, after experiencing it personally I'll say that, this is a good place to have snacks, light in tummy as well as light on pocket. Good place to spend an evening with friends. They have a small hall too, can book for a party or so.

Best place for choti choti bhook. Try chateeza once it's yummy.
