Horrible customer service and not sure what's going on with the cooks! I ordered a hamburger with mushrooms Mayo ketchup and mustard. I got home and noticed it was dry and had no sauce so I called and spoke to a lady who said she was the manager she insisted she was the one who made the burger and she had made it correctly so I said I would bring it in and show her myself. I got back to smash burger and they had my new order ready, I'm 21 years old and just started ordering food myself (sad I know) so I grabbed it and got into my car. I opened the burger and it looked like this...mind you I did not ask for extra. The "manager was very intimidating so I just left it at that and ate as much as possible because I was not going to just waste food..

The First time I came here I waited 50 minutes for a cold stale burger, after I vocalized my complaint they offered a burger on the house the next time I came in. The DINE IN experience is much better. It only took 10 minutes for a hot delicious burger and the place is clean and has well lit seating. The specialty smash and accommodating staff changed this place from a 3 to a 10! 🤩

This used to be my Uncle’s favorite burger joint. They will work with your diet. If you don’t eat bread no problem they will lettuce wrap it for you. The fries are out of this world with rosemary. They are the Smash fries. The shakes are also amazing. Don’t try the wings. They are their only down side. Bathroom and restaurant was clean. Outside seating available. If you haven’t been yet, you are missing out. So smash on in there for an awesome bite to eat.

Let's start with the food is great! The time it takes to even take or order is awful, the service is worse. It doesn't matter if you order by phone, come in, online... it will take forever. Do not come her already hungry come an hour before you might get hungry.

Visited today for lunch and ordered to go. They were super busy and super under staffed. Our order took quite a long time and we were serve our shake before our food was ready so it was mostly melted by the time we got home. Our order was wrong too. We ordered a burger with no cheese and it had cheese… and two bacon burgers that had no bacon… these guys need some help. They were clearly stressed and struggling with the flood of lunch orders and did not have the proper support to make the orders correctly. No hate to the employees. They need help.

Didn't know they were remodeling, but went in and the employee greeting us. She was the only employee and was super nice and calm even though she was by herself doing everything. She brought our food out and napkins and condiments. Asked if everything looked good or needed anything. And went back inside. She was great. I'd be back.

Felt like the cashier was put out having to take our order. Wanted 2 shakes but were told the shake machine was out of service. We sat at the one table that was clean in the empty restaurant. Sounded like the kitchen staff was having a good time. Looked like they were filling many door dash orders maybe that's the better way to go. The food was good.

Came here on a whim for dinner around 8p and was told by the woman working they counter that they were about to close — unable to eat in certain areas of the dining room but location closes at 930p? Anyway. Food was decent and came out pretty quick. Like that they offer single/double options and really enjoyed the rosemary fries. Wish they had combos instead of itemizing the burger, fries and drink. Spent $40 for a family of 4

My order was completely wrong! My fiancé avocado burger was dry, no smash sauce, with 1 pickle, no avocado, no red onions no mayonnaise at all in which I ordered. My burger was dry also! We only ate the burgers because we were really hungry and haven’t eaten all day, but I won’t be going back here anymore , if I wanted something as dry as that burger I would’ve eaten paper!

Brisket BBQ bacon burger was effing amazing!!! This was something different and it didn't disappoint! Get one!

Had to waste some time so I stopped in here for a quick bite. It wasn't crowded and I didn't expect much but the chicken was delicious. The girl behind the counter was excellent and helpful. All in all a great experience.

I don’t know what’s going with this location. The service has gone down the drain. I ordered and my pickup time was at 8:20. And when I arrived the person upfront stated that I had to wait for someone to make my shake. After 20 minutes of waiting. I believe the lead came out and literally took my shake out of the freezer. What is going on?. Sadly with staff like this, this restaurant is falling apart. I also took pictures to show the long wait time.

Very average. Did not meet my expectations. Both me and my wife did not feel very good after eating. Each ordered a burger and fries. The burgers felt much smaller than I anticipated. Overly greasy / oily. Might have been the smash fries that made us not feel great.

I’m not sure what all of the other reviewers are talking about with bad customer service and bad food. I’ve been going here for a while and have never noticed this. The food is always good, cooked right, and hot and ready. There’s always a lot of seating and you get your food very quickly unlike a lot of other burger joints. Gotta say the new logo is kinda ugly though lol

Despite other reviewers experiences, I have always had a wonderful experience of this location. It's always clean the employees are always there and to want to help with anything they can. I decided to try the new burger the mac'n smash. I also ordered a fried egg on top. It's definitely not the type of fried egg or burger that I was expecting but it's all right I wouldn't say that I would get it again. They used to have a burger called the chorizo smashburger that was my favorite and that's the one I always come back here to find again but they never have it. I prefer the smash tots over the fries or sweet potato fries. Plenty of sodium here.

Nobody else in there except one person, I placed an online order and they still couldn't give us a decent amount of fries. Everything drenched in grease. $30 for two single patty burgers and two regular fries. I've been to other locations that don't skimp out. Maybe try a different one.

Ordered through DoorDash so maybe if we went in it would be better, but definitely wouldn’t recommend delivery as our food was not warm on arrival. My fries weren’t even a full order and cold. My chicken sandwich was actually pretty good for just the classic sandwich, if it was hot, it probably would have been excellent! We also ordered two salads without eggs and they came with eggs and no dressing. It was a bummer since this was everybody’s first experience of smashburger.

Oh lord this place is good. I don't think I have ever had a better cheeseburger. The Cheese Skirt makes it so goooooood. They also have no problem doing no bun if you're gluten intolerant so that's nice. This is definitely my go-to spot in town for a burger. The burger is kind of pricey in my opinion but when you are on TV for diners drive in and dives I guess you can charge whatever you want.

Haven't been here in about 6 years but was craving my favorite burger "the sin city burger". Mouth watering, craving, we arrive and nobody knows what it is. The cashier has me remember from 6 years ago what's on it, and I did, and I had to do a "create your own". It has an egg on it which surprisingly they had on hand so... after 2 burgers, my husband got the new overpriced brisket burger which was burnt including the bun, 1 fry (that was old), 1 plain tots and a soda it cost $37.05!!! Seriously!! For that?? I realize inflation is a thing but my God! I see why we were thee only customers in there! Guess it'll be another 6 years, if at all!

I came an hour before closing, it's empty, 3 employees and it was about 5 minutes to get my food. Everyone was very polite. Everything was spotless.

Went to the Roseville location a couple weeks ago. It was spotless. Very impressed. The Citrus Heights location was absolutely disgusting. Most tables were dirty, all garbage cans were completely full. Broken boxes with stuff just stored in the restaurant. Will definitely not be returning. It’s worth the drive to Roseville.

Pre-pandemic this used to be one of my family's favorite burger joints, especially since they offer gluten free burger buns and knew our names and favorites ahead of time! Plus the food was consistently good. But when the pandemic hit this place went downhill fast. I'm guessing it was some kind of management issue as there were never enough employees and a lot of the ones they did have really seemed overwhelmed. The food wasn't great anymore even if you ordered ahead, and the wait time was absolutely bonkers. Seriously our last order in 2021 took 45 minutes! So we decided that until it got better we'd go elsewhere. We've been keeping an eye on reviews and since it looks like there are more positive reviews we decided to at least try again. Glad we did! We ordered online and went to pick it up. The food was already there and ready, and it was back to the same quality as it was before. The girl working the front was nice and friendly, and the place is renovated. Hopefully they're paying the staff well and giving them more hours so this kind of service can continue.
