I am so gratefully to be a SMU Clinical Psychology Student. Our programme is outstanding. I feel that we are trained well as Clinical Psychologists. We study all the theories and therapies in great detail, covering literature, theories and models from overseas to literature, theories and models developed by South African Psychologists. With the hospital (DGMAH) on sight, we have practical experience with patients from all walks of life with many different psychological problems. Our lecturers and supervisors are passionate and help us grow and develop into our profession. The Clinical Psychology Department is also incredibly supportive and practice ubuntu. We are each provided with a Clinical Psychologist for our own personal development as well as a writing coach, who assist us with writing and editing our research dissertations. The department supports us in every way they can and they go above and beyond to train us as competent psychologists. The only minor critique I have for SMU, is that they are a little behind with their technology and have an old school way of doing things (there is room for improvement there). All in all, I feel proud to be a student at this university, and I feel confident in my training. I am so grateful to have been selected at this University. I cannot wait to confidently take my oath at the end of this year.

Best varsity that produces medical doctors. I visited this place during the night and right at the gate I found friendly security guards. I was taking my daughter there not knowing that her student card is able to open car gate of the varsity for us without asking the guards to do it.They made us aware of that. I was opportuned to enter girls residents and found it be clean and took some pics thumbs up.Within it there is a place where they can sit and watch tv before they enter their rooms.

Ohky mine is quiet different. I don't study at SMU but I play RUGBY. Being a rugby player at SMU it makes me feel like I am one of their students cause when I walk inside the premises, everyone or every students think I'm one of them. Actually I would like to thank SEFAKO MAKGATHO HEALTH SCIENCES UNIVERSITY for giving me a chance to play for them. 🏉🏉🏉🏉🏉🏉. Owh before I forget catch me and the Fast lane team. I keep calling but no one answers ever. I called multiple times just to inquire about my application and none of those times, my calls were answered. This is so unprofessional

The support and diversely integrated training in the MSc Clincial psychology programme at SMU is at one of the highest standards. I cannot commend this programme enough and feel incredibly grateful to be on this journey at SMU!

Online application process is a nightmare :-( Very disappointing

The worst university ever. You apply online and won't get any reply. Money gone for nothing. They are very disorganised.

Very disappointed,university don't answer our calls as parents, we been calling for past 2 to 3 weeks no response and to check status of my child, and its frustrating because I don't know what is going on. Even if you go to the website you cant even check the status because there is no place where to check,please improve your system and improve your services because hayi khona your service its poor, very very very poor 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
