Caminetto was a disappointing experience. The only reason we (3 of us) walked in was because of the atmosphere. Should have checked the reviews before walking in. I ordered a serving of chicken and mushroom pizza, and it tasted like one of those late drunk nights kebab place pizza’s. Nothing remotely Italian about that. We ordered a portion of Gnocchi al Gorgonzola with a lot of expectations (after all it costed quite a bit), but sorry to say, the gnocchi was raw and the sauce was chalky (likely due to raw flour). The garlic bread was good. The service was okay but didn’t make up for the poor food quality, especially when they are priced like the way they are. I would recommend to walk past.

Waiting for half n hour for a table of 4 which is fine ( its busy season totally get it ) however if you want a place where they forgot to put your order in then claimed that the order went through but they ran out of dough for the pizza then this might be the place!. Funny enough table after us and the one after that actually got their pizza!( i mean if u want to lie make it a good one) . Decided to just paid on what we got then leave. The food that we got and the customer service was very very avg at best as well!

Here the food is like homemade. Very tasty and tender ravioli, as well as caprese salad. The weather was good so we had lunch outside. Great atmosphere and friendly waiters.

This was actually the worst meal of 2022. Look at the photos for yourself. Make sure before you eat here, you filter Google reviews to “Newest” and check out all the similar, poor reviews. Caminetto Special pizza - $34.90. So bland, initially thought it was a heated up $5 frozen pizza from Coles. Just look at it. Soggy, tasted on nothing but cheese. All ingredients must’ve been frozen as there was no flavour at all. Base was comparable to a frozen pizza base. Sizzling garlic prawns - $26.90. Tiny baby prawns, except the one on top. Sauce tasted on nothing again, all definitely frozen, and 1 tiny piece of bread. Prawns were not fresh. Fresh prawns have flavour. Just terrible. Panko Calamari rings - $23.90. So plain, at least season it. Little to no chips or salad. Lucky they gave packets of tartare and tomato. Shocking meal. The meal ruined a nice, sunny Sydney day. Don’t bother with this place. It is not worth it. Tables around us had a similar experience and you could tell they were not impressed at all.

This place is the biggest joke in the name of Italian food and perfect way to ruin your evening. You would be better off getting a frozen pizza and a soup from woolies and even that will taste much better and satisfying in front of this expensive ordeal. Do not waste your time and money at this place going by it’s looks and the location. If you like your food tasting like soggy cardboard with a hint of salt, this is still not the place to be. It’s just frustrating to write such a bad review about food that could have been given the right kind of love and been cooked properly in the same amount of time without wasting all that effort.

A pleasant meal with lovely outdoor decor that transports you back to the streets of Italy. Situated in a great location in the Rocks. All dishes were wonderful however could’ve been better value for money as I found them relatively simplistic for the premium price.

No offense intended here. If I'd rocked up with no reservation, I wouldn't mind copping a bad seat, but I did in fact make said reservation 3 days earlier, only to recieve a table in THE worst spot of the restaurant. I shivered through my entire meal, asked for at least one door to be closed to at least stop the wind tunnel effect, which was done, thankfully. Food. Meatballs were fantastic, according to my son. My steak. I'll say pretty good. I'll let everyone judge the photo whether it was cooked medium though. I've been in Sydney 5 days as a tourist, and this was my least favorite experience.

If you are looking for authentic Italian food, this is not the place for you. The location is excellent, service was great. However none of the dishes we ordered had the mmm factor. The Caprese was just stacks of tomatoes, leave of basil, slice of moz. Drizzle of balsamic as garnish. Not seasoned properly, could use lot more olive oil. The menu says bread stick, none to be found. Could i eat it if i added little salt - yes. Was it worth $24.90? NO! The ousters were fresh, only lemon for garnish. The provided sauce was just vinegar with some chopped chives. The bruschetta came with soggy bread and tomatoes that tasted more like old salsa. The Focaccia or so called pizza bread tasted and felt a lot like from a frozen bag. Same for the pizzas. Don't expect someone to be rolling out dough in the kitchen. The Spaghetti Marinara had no taste at all, the sauce was slippery and not sticking to the pasta, like from a jar. Adding lot of parmesan cheese did not help. The garlic bread also felt like pre-heated frozen product. Like i mentioned, not impossible to eat, just not authentic Italian flavors.

By now worst possible food experience in Sydney, we got bruschetta, margherita and garlic bread, none of those was even ok, it was that bad that after one bite we get up and left this place. Something that they call pizza which is shame to even compare to pizza, only good thing that we got was Coke. Awful place, do not recommend to anyone, only if you want to be fooled.

Food are good but price on the high side. The Aperol Spritz not so nice. Tiramisu is good.

From the moment I arrived I was shown to an outside table undercover where there was heaters going to keep me cozy amongst a busy atmosphere. The wait staff were very attentive to me, I was impressed! So much so that two different waitresses poured me a glass of water twice! I would recommend the bruschetta and veal scallopini. Both were generous servings and very delicious! Overall I would recommend this Italian restaurant as the staff and food were amazing!

Very good experience last night. We ordered the carbonara and a pizza and both were very large portions for the price. We started off with bruschetta also, which is the best bruschetta I’ve ever had, so fresh and delicious!! I’d definitely come back here again.

Great comfort food! We got the vegetarian lasagne, vegetarian pizza, grilled haloumi, and fries! All were delicious, and the atmosphere was cozy with food served as we liked it in that order! Awesome overall 👏

Literally in the Rocks - tables at the back are set along the historical heritage listed workers terrace residences of the late 1800s - the sandstone rough hewn walls lend a period ambience to this place though nothing else has been done to translate this into a unique dine in experience. Just your average patio heaters with coloured strung lights & marquee. My veggie lasagne was a generous portion smothered in sauce, the pasta a bit rubbery & tasted bland. Others who had gnocchi said it was good. Waiters are attentive.

Very well priced for where it’s located. When for a family meal with 7 people. The service was excellent, everything came out in a very timely manner even though it was packed. The food was excellent. Even asked me if I needed a takeaway container before I’d even thought to ask. Would recommend to anyone!

We were a little concerned about whether we’d made the right decision to eat dinner here after reading the reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. Great and fast service on a busy Thursday evening. Lovely and helpful staff. Great choice of European wines. The garlic bread was a bit dry, but the vegetarian pizza was really tasty and fresh. All in a relaxed and outdoor courtyard setting. We’d happily dine here again.

Comfort food, I had the Hawaiian pizza. The ham was quite abundant and softer than what we get in the U.S. My table in the back was so cool. There is a cliff and I truly enjoyed the location. Staff was friendly and it was sweet and funny to watch the family at the next table.

Surprisingly disappointing food after the good service. Pizzas tasted like cheap ingredients and pastas were bland. The managers were enthusiastic and wait staff were fast and efficient. Just wished the quality of the food would increase. You are paying for the location, not the food.

This place is special for its food quality. I would highly recommend it for its top notch fantastic tasting food. Every dish ordered was delicious and right portioned. In particular I would recommend having a pizza and the seafood Risotto. Service is nothing spectacular, pretty lukewarm. Any attempt at interaction with 3 different members of service staff was surprisingly not returned with any warmth and lacking in character. In fact, upon entry I had to go in and find someone to seat our table. I would still return to try other dishes and i know they will be superb!

The food was great, especially the spaghetti and chicken, which was spiced very well, the overall atmosphere was warm and cozy and I really enjoyed it. Price is great for such an expensive section.

Great Italian restaurant in Circular Quay. Prices are what you'd expect from a bistro in the City but the staff were really friendly and service was excellent. Quality of the food was top notch too 👍

This is my new favourite restaurant!! The location, food & staff are five star quality!!! The price is also extremely affordable!! Ordered 2 entrees, 2 mains + side dish & 4 drinks and totalled $147. It was an amazing experience and I will definitely be returning!! The service from the wait staff was so professional and organised that I HAD to tip (which i rarely do). 100000/10 would recommend.

Great experience, was so busy which was a good sign everyone smiling and enjoying their meals and beverages. Must come earlier before Oysters sell out!!! Staff were lovely. We were seated quickly even though we hadn't booked. Will be back again. Loved the antipasto platter (med) and the gnocci was amazing!!!
