Martin was a great guide, very knowledgeable and great humor. We really enjoyed this tour, he took us to places we have never visited before and allowed us time to take photos. This tour is great value for everyone and especially for groups as the price is very reasonable compared to other bus tours in Sydney. Comfortable, air conditioned bus was a bonus. Tip is voluntary. Highly recommend!

Great city tour in Sydney! The date already secured to choose but you can go to highlight locations in Sydney only 39$. The tour guide Martine was so humor and great to explain history of city and each location. Also he shared great information to look around city.

The bus trip was fantastic and our tour guide was so informative, not only giving information about the places visited but travelling around Sydney in general. He also ensured people who were slower walkers sat at the front of the bus so they had a little more time at each stop which was brilliant. He made sure families sat together too! I would definitely recommend!

This was a great 3 hour sight-seeing tour with lots of interesting tidbits of Sydney. Martin our bus driver cum tour guide did a fantastic job with his safe driving, good humor and great time-keeping in ensuring we were on schedule, all the time providing us with touristy info that I thought was helpful to know as a visitor to Sydney. To top it all off, the weather was just perfect for the short walks to the places of interests for pics.

This is a highly recommended thing to do, not just for tourists but for locals who want to expand their knowledge of hidden heritage and history of this stunning city of Sydney. I believe it's run by enthusiastic locals with in depth knowledge. They really impart useful information and really paint a fascinating picture of this city from its past to its present and the future. This is not just about monuments and iconic landmarks but also tips and tricks on how to navigate this city on foot, public transportation and lingo. Absolutely amazing experience with warmth and welcoming atmosphere. A must do activity for all ages. Highly recommended for families especially young children as they can really learn so much about Sydney. The tour is free if you're taking the "walkabout" tours but if you combine with a bus tour then it's about $18 and worth it. I took some friends to the one that meets in Hyde Park near the Archibald fountain. Absolutely love it.

We went on the paid bus tour of Sydney today with the "Free Tours of Sydney" company. We felt the small fare we paid was very reasonable as the tour was quite exceptional....actually much better than we were expecting. All in all it was well priced, well paced, well planned and very enjoyable. Our guide was great fun and gave a wonderful live commentary on each of the areas of interest we visited and included historical information along with humorous anecdotes. We found him always very accommodating and helpful. We covered a lot of ground on this three hour tour. We can thoroughly recommend it to anyone interested in seeing the city sights of Sydney.

Martin drove us around Sydney today and I cannot recommend his tour highly enough. The bus was spotlessly clean and air conditioned, Martin was very knowledgeable but also had a great sense of humour and the patience of a Saint. The stops were all interesting and allowed plenty of time to enjoy the local scenery. I would happily repeat today's tour, not to be missed and at €18 plus tips, it is a bargain too.

Lovely way to spend a day out exploring the eastern suburbs of Sydney and learning more about the city we live in and it's history. The tour guide, Martin is very knowledgeable about local history and knows how to engage an audience. $24 if you book online for a gauranteed spot on the bus tour. A little cheaper if you just rock up and pay cash but you may not be gauranteed a space on the bus. Bus is nicely airconditioned, and seats are nice and comfortable and clean. I would definitely participate again in the future. 4.5 stars out of 5. Would have been a perfect rating if not for dawdlers in the tour group causing us to get less time at other hop off locations.

The bus tour was a great way to see several highlights of Sydney in an efficient way. The tour guide Martin did an excellent job of explaining history of each site, was clear about giving information about what to look for when, and was also very funny too.

This Tour was Great. Martin our guide was prompt in meeting us and then took us on a tour filled with facts, jokes and stops all along the way. When asked he provided great directions and tips on Sydney’s locations. Though it was raining for most of the tour. It was still enjoyable.

Do yourself a favour and take this tour. A great way to see lots of Sydney. Very relaxed, informative and interesting. A big thank you to Martin for showing us around.

  • 5/5 Carol T. 2 years ago on Google
Lily, our guide, was friendly and knowledgeable, she gave a concise history about the many buildings we passed and where are the attractions that we should visit at our own time. As the VTL only started recently, there were few tourists. Our group had only 6 people, of which 4 are from our family. The walking tour is a little more than 2 hours, starts from Hyde Park and ends at The Rocks. Do try to join this tour on your first few days of arrival to get a feel of the place and where to visit.

  • 5/5 Emilia B. 2 years ago on Google
Great tour! You get to stop and see so many different places and sit on a comfortable bus between the stops. Martin does a good job explaining the history of it all. Really recommend this tour!

What a great experience and at a fantastic price. Really well worth the effort. Martin our guide, was funny, knowledgeable and showed us parts of the eastern suburbs we hadn’t seen before.

  • 5/5 Sharon M. 1 year ago on Google
Very informative tour and so well priced. Our driver was also very good maneuvering through the Sydney traffic. He was very entertaining in his commentary and did a great job of "wrangling" a full bus load of passengers - we didn't have to wait on any stragglers at any of the stops! Highly recommend for visitors both local and overseas. PS I advise to leave a tip and show your appreciation - the tourism industry was probably the worst impacted over the last 2 years. Every little bit helps.

It was an amazing tour I have had since I came to Australia, a big thanks from the bottom of my heart to Martin I came a long way from a different state to attend this tour . I was late more than 30 minutes, he guided me by the phone all the way to join the group later at one point, he really made my day otherwise I couldn't make the tour. Also Martin was a very knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour , I enjoyed every moment of the tour , I highly recommended and I'll come back again for sure. Thank you so much and keep this job up. 5 stars

This tour was top notch. It’s a full 2.5 hours, loaded with history and tourist tips to enhance your visiting experience. My guide was Lilly. She was very knowledgeable and personable. What a fabulous experience. - I highly recommend it. And it’s free! They do ask for a donation which is optional but I think everyone gave money because it was well worth it.

We really enjoyed our walking tour with LeiLei (apologies if spelling is incorrect) she was friendly, passionate about her city, very knowledgeable and kept us entertained during our tour. It was the perfect pace to be able to see all the sights around us and we got to see some interesting "hidden" features around Sydney. We took the tour at the start of our visit and were so glad we did otherwise we would have missed some places that we revisited after our tour. Would definitely recommend taking this tour of beautiful Sydney.

Martin the driver/tour guide was amazing. Very funny, full of facts, history, and local informative tips. He had some great stories to share with us all. A word of advice-please don't be late for the tour as the rest of us have to wait for you to arrive and could miss out on some of the bus stops along the way. Please be organised and considerate to the others who have made it there on time.

Had a great time. Martin was a great driver & his commentary was at times hilarious. But seriously he had a fantastic knowledge of the areas we toured through & he was full of historical info as well. The best $39 I have spent in a long time - great value.

  • 5/5 Ric S. 9 months ago on Google
To be honest, this was one of the best coach tours I have ever taken. I believe this was not only due to the itinerary, the comfort of the bus, and the beautiful weather. but largely due to the efforts of our very talented tour bus driver who provided us with a very informative commentary from the beginning of our journey with him to the very end. His name was Martin, and he is the first bus driver I have given a gratuity to in my many years of travelling the world. I was equally impressed with the real concern he showed for his passengers, and the respect he showed to people from different cultures. He had a very pleasant speaking voice and was easy to understand. He was jovial, funny, and extremely well informed on the sights we visited. If it were not for his boss Dave (the owner of the company), my partner and I would not have enjoyed one of the highlights of our trip to NSW. Thank you, Martin & Dave. Well done!

I booked for the bus and walking tours, I enjoyed both tours. This is my 1st time in Sydney, the tour guide provided very informative and inside about Sydney. I went back to visit some areas on my own after the tour. Highly recommend anyone (even local) to join the tour to explore some part of Sydney (and the history) are not discovered.

We picked up the brochure at our hotel and immediately thought that it looked interesting and also reasonably priced, unlike some of the other offers. Sometimes what then happens is that the tour isn't nearly as good as the brochure BUT this certainly didn't happen. Except for a small communications breakdown in the beginning, our guide went out of his way to find us and nothing was too much trouble . Martin was excellent with a lovely sense of humour and giving us lots of information as we traveled around Sydney. All the stops were sufficient to take photos without being rushed and we walked back after the tour with a happy smile.

My partner and I had the pleasure of taking the Bus tour 26/02/2020 - amazing value and a real treat - everyone who comes to Sydney should do this tour, we were so pleased we did and the Guide was funny, informative and friendly - nothing was too much for him. Saw many great sites which had we done them off our own back we would either have missed or not found at all. We also had help with the the travel card after the tour - explained how to use i.e put on 20 Dollars maximum and you have 24 hours of travel by Train, Tram, Ferry and Bus ( this we maximized today) - Great value so THANKS

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed the Sydney bus tour. It was wonderful to visit so many diverse and popular spots and see the sites. Martin, our driver, gave an interesting commentary as he drove us around - a lot of fascinating history and comical jokes as well. Great to have a safe driver with patience, charming people skills and a sense of humor too. Remember to contribute financially at the end as this bus tour, as it is well worth a lot more than the $18 petrol cost! I definitely recommend this tour to others. ? The tour was fun, informative and best points of interest. I'd love the option of a more open bus to have better view of the places, but is good to have stop and 10 min to look around and take photos. In general very good for the price. Thank you so much to Martin, excellent service and guide 😀

Great overview of Sydney's highlights. Several short stops to get off and take pictures and grab some snacks or coffee. Driver/guide was great. An Asian tour group on board the bis kind of spoiled for rest by not being back on the bus on time and talking during the narration
