A beautiful location, the decor is amazing and the food is great. Staff sound kind and work very hard as it seems. I would recommend it for holidays and luxury retreats or staying with a family who enjoys this sort of hotel!! The food is very lovely and very enjoyable. It is costly and for a good reason. Rooms are big, beds are fine, room service is great and the staff are very experienced.

From the moment we stepped out of the car, our stay at Park Hyatt Sydney was outstanding. The customer service, the room, the view and the food is the best that I have seen in Sydney!! Well worth it and will certainly be returning again soon. Thank you Park Hyatt Sydney!

Mixed feelings about this hotel. I know it comes with the reputation of being one of Sydney’s most luxurious and award winning hotels. We’re locals and have wanted to stay here for a while but to be honest was slightly disappointed in some aspects. We came during a long weekend and waited 1.5hrs past check in hour as our room still wasn’t ready. When I asked for a late checkout the reception said 11am was the standard checkout time and didn’t even offer anything but in the end they provided us with free drinks in the dining room and did eventually offer us 1pm late checkout because they could see how displeased we were. For $1300/night think about how much that is per hour lost! The rooms themselves are absolutely beautiful and of course the view is incomparable to any other hotel - we paid for a King Opera and luckily our room faced the Opera House right in the centre. For a hotel this famous, the pool and jacuzzi area was so small compared to Langham and Crown Sydney! The pool felt like a family home size and it was outdoors so it can get pretty cold and closed very early at 6:30pm which doesn’t allow guests to enjoy the evening lights. The breakfast dining was also a little average - we probably prefer a full buffet table style but here the buffet only included cold continental and the hot dishes were limited menu to one item per person. Luckily this was included in our room rate deal otherwise I wouldn’t have paid $165 for a family of 3. Valet parking was $90 which is standard for Sydney hotels. Overall we enjoyed our stay but not sure if it’s worth the price.

Exceptional customer service team. I've been to hotels all over the world and this is definitely one of the best. The hotel is expensive but worth every dollar spent. The view is amazing and they have balconies so you can sit and enjoy it. It feels relaxed Ave not pretentious at all. I'd recommend staying for a special occasion of you live in Sydney or if you're traveling to Australia this hotel will give you the best experience of Australia.

Despite this being a 5 star hotel is really shouldn't be. Having the roof top pool closed for maintenance throughout the day is wrong. (The area is closed from 9pm to 7am why couldn't they have done that then) After letting the concierge aware of it they promised to wipe all extra charges to then find out they only removed a small portion of charges (All the cheap stuff). They offered us to stay a few hours later for checkout however we explained quite clearly that we are sick of asking for late checkout to only have the hotel ring/knock on the door right before we were meant to originally leave. They assured us they would not bother us...… Well come 5 minutes prior to 11am (Original checkout) the staff came knocking on the door. Also, waiting for a bite to eat in their onsite Lunch Restaurant came with an 25 minute wait.... To be served and then a further 25 minute wait for food which for the price was average. These might seem like small issues but when you are paying over $1,480 a night (Just for the room) you expect quality. I have to be honest, the views from the room is spectacular however, would i pay for another night @ $1,400+ ???? Well no I would not. When there is plenty of high quality hotels in Sydney such as at the casino or at the crown that for that price you would be treated like a king. Drop the prices if you are going to drop your service

Beautiful 5 Star Hotel positioned right on the waterfront of Sydney Harbour Definitely one of Sydney’s places to stay with Circular Quay and The Rocks in walking distance. Easy walk to catch a ferry over to Manly or Watsons Bay for a nice day out. Lots of amazing restaurants around the area. Always enjoy picking up and dropping off my customers at this Hotel. Highly recommended so they deserve their 5 Stars.

Did not stay at the hotel but I did however have a great meal in the dining room. Service Was good, a little more attentiveness was needed. Food was very nice. Entrees, and mains were very tasty and well presented they are on the smaller side however (fine dining)! Dessert was exceptional, the small group I was with wanted to try all 4 or 5 desserts and let me say they were all so delicious, flavour combinations were interesting but surprisingly worked well.

Park Hyatt is the top hotel in Sydney- the accommodations were first rate. Had a beautiful view of Sydney Harbor and a porch to take it all in. The staff was great and helped with our itinerary and restaurant reservations. They didn’t send you to tourist spots - they sent you to great foodie places. If in Sydney this is the spot to stay for sure.

I am a frequent flyer traveler stay over many countries at luxury hotels before but without a doubt it was one of the best stays in Australia, Sydney ever. Me and my wife celebrated our 5th year wedding anniversary here, From check in, room service, dining room, to check out it was all on point. Since it’s winter here in Sydney the pool was also heated and jacuzzi was warm which was one of the best highlight during the weekday, we had the pool ourselves. The concierge and butler team was above and beyond!!! Total respect to these guys as they are super amazing, they have made our stay so special and felt welcoming. The senior butler that was assigned to us was so friendly, came to our room with amenities and had a wonderful chat. The price is totally worth it and highly recommend anyone looking for a premium luxury stay here with Park Hyatt Sydney. 5*Stars all the way!!!

We were given literally the worst room in the hotel with no view whatsoever. We asked if we could change rooms to be told there was absolutely nothing available. So we decided to book The Crown after a bout 10 minutes and went to check out without even using the room. All of a sudden there were multiple other rooms available at reception offered to us. Very poor form. This was on Valentine’s Day and left us very dissatisfied with this hotel. We never received a refund or any apology- nothing, even after the duty manager assured me he would sort it out. We arrived at crown and received an upgrade to a 2 bedroom 3 bathroom suite, because the hotel wanted to look after us after having to check out after 15 mins on Valentine’s Day. Not good enough Park Hyatt.

Beautiful location, outdated and over-priced rooms. I had my wedding here and it was a disaster- they are used to catering for business functions and lack any kind of human warmth or empathy. Didn't listen to any of our styling requests and the hospitality staff lacked experience, we didn't even see our "event planner" on the night. Embarrassing for the price.

I can’t speak highly enough of this hotel. A pet emergency almost derailed our wedding plans but the customer service team at the Park Hyatt were exceptional, understanding and empathetic. This is truly the best hotel experience I’ve ever had, and I will use this stay as the absolute luxury benchmark for all others. Thank you to the Park Hyatt Guest Services team for making our stay so magical. We look forward to returning.

I have done wedding photography recently in this beautiful venue! It is right across the Opera house and offers some of the best views in Sydney! Wedding venue is a bit small and perfect for a intimate wedding with family! When it is hot or rainy, there is no shade! I have attached some photographs.. for more please check Candid chaser photography :)

We had an amazing time staying at the park hyatt sydney! The location is just incredible with perfect views to the opera house. Service was great though could have been a bit more attentive during breakfast. Our room also wasn't ready until 4pm (an hour after promised check in time) but we made the best out of it by enjoying the views the hotel had to offer.

Park Hyatt Sydney experience was one of a kind five star experience for me and the family. The venue met all our needs of having to spend a family a vacation together as a family. The hotel had exceptional customer service and the food was amazing. I highly recommend Park Hyatt Sydney for anyone looking to splurge whilst visiting Sydney - they will spoil you!

We enjoyed our stay very much! I commend Samuel Dabinett, General Manager for his exquisite taste in flowers & chocolate. We had amazing views from our balconies of the Opera house & the surrounding area. The hospitality staff was top notch from moment of arrival to departure. Breakfast was delicious, enhanced by the sound of the waves crashing underneath & the views! We are looking forward to our next stay at PHS!

Hotel Location is great but really disappointed with the guest service. They are not very helpful in resolving any guest issue. Spa at L2, Gym at L3, swimming pool at L4(top floor). Few Balcony room are having great view.

Pro’s: Newer hotel, decent location to CBD and Opera House, great breakfast and restaurant with views. Great rates for some corporate travel. Con’s: Service staff is all newer with teething issues, rooms have some quality issues, most rooms do not have views, you’ll either look into the ground level with vehicle traffic, people walking by, or at trees. Definitely not worth it at normal rates. Some issues that stood out, staff communicated an upgraded room with opera house view was selected for us on day of check-in. At check-in, room change caused us to wait and was a room facing trees. Room was nice but had broken tiles in the shower (see photos). Communicated to manager who said they were fully booked on a Wednesday and suggested to put a bath mat over the broken tiles. Besides that, the next day the cleaning crew cleaned the room, then they were concerned and told maintenance about it, we went to the pool and when we came back to change, the staff just walked in while we were naked. We were celebrating a birthday and the hotel did nothing, no drinks, snacks, cakes etc. Upon check-out, 3 staff knocked on the door within 25 minutes to rush us out then the manager asked us about our stay. When we mentioned it, they did nothing to try to make up for the issues encountered, and said oh I told the team to send you a cake. Not pleased with the experience and would not return, especially at these prices.

We have stayed here a couple of times and our experience have always been positive. One of things we love about this hotel is the breakfast! The Living Room restaurant is now our default go to place to impress our friends and family. I have taken a few of my clients for business meetings here, the food and the ambiance never fail to impress. Today, we had a lunch meeting at the Living Room to try the new menu. The Katsu sandwich and pepperoni pasta were the stars for me! Compliments to the chef for according to my colleagues “the best damn chicken sandwich they ever had”!

My wife and I recently had our Anniversary at the Park Hyatt and from checkin to checkout it was perfection in every way. My wife was presented a bunch of flowers upon checkin a bottle champagne was waiting in the room and the view from the balcony was breathtaking. Thank so much it was worth every $ and we’ll be back. Highly recommend.

Whilst the staff are fantastic, a significant improvement from a mid year visit, I must state that this hotel has the best door staff of any australian hotel. Fantastic gentlemen. The food is brilliant and whilst the breakfast is pricey the endless plates of the continental selection is incredible. The location is brilliant. The best hotel in Sydney right now.

Stayed here for two nights for my 40th birthday. It was a gift from my partner. This was a nice way to enjoy our beautiful city, as we are both locals from the area and booked a show to see in town. First time I tried room service and the food in the kitchen was so amazing that we ordered it at least 5 times during our stay. The Wagu beef burger was a "very good burger" that I enjoyed especially after watching the menu, It really hit the spot. The service was top notch and I thoroughly enjoyed the decour and the rooftop pool and spa has one of the best views in Sydney. I loved visiting the Queen bee and her working bees collecting pollen and bringing it back to her royal hive. Very cool experience and highly recommended!

I used to stay here in the 1990s. It is my fav hotel in SYD. Views and access to the Rocks is awesome. One year we saw the QE2 dock across from the Park Hyatt. A must see assuming they still dock there. Amazing site. The 1st floor suites are amazing too. The windows frame the Opera House. The staff was always excellent. I stayed there so often when I was with Sun Microsystems, everyone knew me by sight. Sunday brunch was a highlight. Therefore, I Highly recommend you try them. Will post a few pictures.... soon.

Love The Park Hyatt & I'm also a Fan of their breakfast including the pancakes. But just a warning, it does come with the price tag "But" in return you get great personalised service, amazing food quality & a brilliant view in front of you. Well done Team.

The room was clean and tidy. It had a really nice vibe and “homey” feeling to it. The bed was comfy, the room was spacious, and had a great view. They gave a complimentary bday cake for my bf which I thought was very thoughtful and generous. We really appreciate that. However I would say service definitely need improvement. Service was quite slow when it comes to asking for water from the room. And the breakfast service needs a lot of improvement. Food came in really late and some of the staff was not trained enough as they did not chase up the order and take responsibility for it. We were grateful for the manager who tried to fix the issue - food finally arrived when she took care of the problem and gave us free champagne to compensate. I hope Park Hyatt would take these feedback with an open mind and strive for better service that lives up to its name. But regardless, I enjoyed my stay and it was a lovely hotel.

  • 5/5 Alex D. 6 months ago on Google
This is the most expensive hotel in Sydney (like 25% more than W and Four Seasons). Service is accoring the price. What makes it so expensive is the view to Opera House and that it is so close to Circular Quay (four seasons amd W are a bit far away). It is an awesome hotel. However, I would not go back. You could get same service level in four seasons and W and if you want to enjoy the view you could book a breakfast there only.

My family and I wandered by this hotel looking for a place to eat when many restaurants were closed. Our flight had been canceled and we were overnight in Sydney at the last minute. The doorman (Alex) noticed me looking at the menu and asked if he could help. The Dining Room was full, but he said he’d see what he could do. The restaurant got us in and made sure we had a good meal, including drinks, and they handled food allergies without blinking. The view of the Opera House is quintessential Sydney. As we left, another doorman made sure we knew how to catch a ride because of traffic redirection due to the Vivid light show. He (Theo) then offered help on a few points for the remainder of our time in Sydney. Kudos to Alex and Theo for taking care of a visitor to the city that wasn’t even staying at their hotel. Yet another very positive experience at a Park Hyatt!

If you’re fortunate enough to get the opportunity to stay here, I’d highly recommend it. During my stay, the entire experience was nothing short of exceptional. Echoing many of the other 5 star reviews, the service as fantastic from check in to check out. The room was amazing, very spacious with plenty of space to work and relax; and a pretty decent view (see photos). Room service was excellent with a great range of healthy and not so healthy options. The only thing suggestion for improvement would be a larger space and more equipment (free weights) in their gym or to provide included access to a full size gym for customers that are interested in strength training like some other hotels do in Sydney.

We booked the hotel function room for wedding reception during the covid period, the hotel was so nice and agile to fit the changes of the government restrictions. The Banquet Team manager Pavle and his banquet staff provided excellent service and care to us and our guests. Event team Brandon and Aoife organised and liaised with us from the beginning to the final confirmed date. They have done lots of hard and brilliant work, definitley 5 star and recommend

  • 5/5 Peter B. 2 years ago on Google
If there was a 6th star I would give it. Couldn't speak highly enough about the quality of service to hotel facilities this hotel had it all. I have been lucky enough to stay in some of the best 5 star hotels from Singapore, London and New York and this hotel is the top of the class. A special call out Dinning Hall for providing excellent food and the hotel staff for providing excellent service.

My husband and I booked a night away and were really looking forward to having a great night away from the kids for our anniversary. Unfortunately our room had two spotlights, adjacent to our bed, that would not stop flashing the entire night when the room was pitch black dark. It turned into one our worst sleeps unfortunately and not worth the money we paid. Told reception on check out, as well as showing him footage, and all we got was “sorry” aka tough luck. Didn’t except such a cold and non hospitable response while handing over the bill. Definitely won’t be running back to the Park Hyatt. There are much better hotels in the city that care and treat their customers with better service.

From the moment you step foot into the property you know you are in good hands, above and beyond service from all the staff. The food from the kitchen is consistent every time I visit. Whether be A la cart breakfast, lunch or a stay, always a flawless performance.

Park Hyatt Sydney has always been one of my favourite hotels, but my last trip was utterly disappointing. I actually checked out upon arrival due to the poor attitude of reception staff. Be weary of upgrades, as they upgraded me too a room that faced the street. Fingers crossed this hotel gets back to its former glory.

We used to come here with big groups or family celebration, lately the food has change dramatically! The quality of food has change a lot, used to be when u have the dishes you can taste different flavour coming out.that u don’t taste an ordinary, something different. But now it’s just ordinary that u go in a normal restaurant. The desert was also nothing special. Service still same. They used to serve warm nice breads, now u have to ask for it,and bread is just normal bread not upscale 5star quality. Location is great, view was great, service is the same.food quality for 5star hotel👎

The best place we've stayed. From the moment we arrived the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We stayed in the King Opera Deluxe suite and it did not disappoint! Waking up to the views of the Opera House was extraordinary. The Concierge did everything he could to make us feel at home. Exceptional customer service. Luxurious room. Stunning views. Had a memorable 2 night stay for my beautiful Mum's 91st birthday. They made her feel so special. Thank you so much. As an ex Flight Attendant, I've been fortunate to stay in many wonderful hotels around the world, but the Park Hyatt Sydney is now my favourite. I can't fault it. The food and amenities are truly fabulous. The staff cannot do enough for you. It's definitely six star here, not five star. Can't wait to come back.

This is the most luxuries of the big hotels in Sydney. There is a lot of attention paid to details both in the experience, service and rooms. The views of course are spectacular and the fact that it's not a high rise makes guests feel connected to the surroundings. The rooms are nice and quiet with well thought out details like very effective black out curtains. Definitely worth staying here,if for no other reason than the views of the Opera House and city from your bed and bathroom.

This is one of the best city hotel in the world. To start of, the view facing the opera is breathtaking. I highly recommend to take opera view room instead of harbour view room as you might end up looking at the end of a mammoth cruise ship moored nearby. The rooms have always been refreshed and feel very cosy. Bed and pillows are so plush it is a torture to get out of it . Then you go for breakfast and again are reminded of the incredible view, basked in a gentle breeze and warmed by the morning sun. Selection has everything you need and some . I really like the fresh honey on its rack, a rare treat. So yes this hotel is worth the high price you pay but if your partner is not impressed by this place , nothing will ever.

Lovely hotel located in the Rocks section of Sydney with views of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. It has a low profile (5 floors, G-4), and a rooftop pool. The ambiance is sedate with an Asian flavor - space usage is maximized and everything is in its place. Service levels are impeccable. I didn’t want to leave.

This place is amazing. When booking I thought we were paying a lot (we did pick third floor, uninterrupted view of the Opera House), but after staying there it was worth every cent. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. We had the most incredible harbour views. Everything you could need was available. The staff were lovely and went above and beyond to make this experience what it was. Every request through concierge was prompt, all amenties in building shown, and valet parking staff were friendly and helpful. The food is delicious. There is 2 restaurants on site. We had the in house dining, which was yummy and available 24hrs. We also had breakfast there and they offered buffet style and freshly cooked menu choices. Plenty of gluten free and vegetarian options available as well. Perfect location for The Rocks and Circular Quay. Everything was within walking distance, but valet easily able to bring car quickly if needed or arrange private transport. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and very deserving of the 5 stars. We will definitely be back.
