Fantastic park for families. It’s unique and scooters are ideal here with the just like real life roads and traffic lights that work! Great fully fenced areas and dog friendly around the park. Toilets and a lot of space for a bbq or picnic and other play equipment too. Five stars

Really big patch of flat grassy land with tennis courts, a basketball hoop. Nice to go jogging around. Opposite tennis courts is a Woolies supermarket (with limited parking). Westfield East Gardens is also down the road.

Friendly and helpful staff, has an apparel store to buy the latest Rabbitohs gear . Join today to get membership discount. Lovely training field and basketball court. There was plenty more which I'll check out next time.

Parking impossible when so many matches are played. I am disabled but a car without a permit was parked in the disabled spot. Needs to be policed .

We went to see the Women’s World Cup here. It’s big and well laid out with lots of different sports catered for and good parking and facilities. There is a local swimming pool called Des Renford and there are shops nearby in a small shopping centre across Bunnerong Road.

I love Heffron Park. It is a big walk around the perimeter but well worth the effort. It's a great place to walk the dog and now there are bonuses of the new club rooms for the Rabbitohs football club and other sports facilities. Heffron Park has so many sporting facilities to cater to nearly everyone. It's a great all-around site.

Cricket, Football, AFL, NRL, Cycling, Tennis, Swimming, Running, Basketball - it’s all here. Heffron Park is the Swiss Army Knife of sports areas. It’s a massive asset to the area!

Definitely improved with the addition of upgraded playgrounds, bike playgrounds for young kids, multiple soccer fields, walkways separated from bike paths, dog friendly water bowls and poo bags, more sport facilities such as tennis courts, basketball courts, cricket and soccer.

Great place for sport. Football (soccer), basketball, tennis, rugby league, netball and other sports. Good place to work dogs which is what I did. No dog bags available and very few bins.

Heffron Park was where I walked my dog in the mid 70's, there wasn't much else than the swimming pool or a very basic rough bike track. Now with Netball centre, Soccer centre, Tennis centre & the under construction of the high performance area for the Bunnies. This park is hard to go past as feature for the local residents living in Maroubra, Matraville or Pagewood area.

It's a nice place, with lots of different sporting fields With the Des Renford aquatic centre, near to where I umpired a cricket match for the GPS. There are some facilities such as toilets and plenty of room for kids and locals that use it regularly, plenty of free parking .

Heffron park has over 30 netball courts, 1 basketball court, several fields for football or rugby. And there is a bicycle park for kids, with all traffic signals such as no right turn, stop, give way, kangaroos.

The south eastern area that has been home to return to for many, had a mix of country once self sufficiency farming from ancient moons ago with a the city that slowly crept up on very slowly, to being modern & somewhat contemporary. Has the mix of multicultural Australasia Oceania had a new breathe life into a new generation of people who embrace the noise of area that's being forgotten seems like stood still since ww2. What unperceived modernisation could impact on the generations still emerging from same struggles to survive? This intrenchment will be not be given a hand up to stand with neighbours, or will this pocket of the impoverishment ideology continue to justify statisticians, for the droplet economy that public housing estates are ignored for the purposes that it service providers should advance itself. Many ministers bilateral or anyone else perks had passed onto the next. The lights are kept on the street, garbage is collected, woman is protected, but no one' in the office to answer to the estates calls to arms which are crumbling ww2 which are museums for those who Department accepts limited liability, to aid offshore investments. Yes the park is great! Sorry got off topic. ✌

Love the new soccer ground and it was well looked after and helps us (Australian Chinese Soccer Association) from the local member officer to give us a lot of help to founding an alternative place for us, while our home soccer ground was closed. Thank you. DC

Heffron Park is an excellent park in the eastern suburbs of Sydney, Australia. It's got an Olympic pool(including gym), cycle track, soccer fields, indoor archery centre, football fields, cricket nets, tennis courts, kids cycle track with traffic lights and real looking miniature roads, kids love it, and plenty of parking in the park. QUOTE: Heffron Park, MAROUBRA Named for the former Premier of NSW and local member, Robert Heffron. Work commenced on the park in 1972. Previously, the area was used as a Navy store and later, a hostel for migrants. Originally, the area was a swamp. UNQUOTE
