A rather tightly governed museum where you should ring the Intercoms to gain access with bag checked. So don’t be baffled by it’s locked front door. The distorted David’s star is form with the outline of the layering of balcony at the main hall. The exhibit could move you with motion again with the layering of emotion from light at the ground to its heaviest at the top floor where you will be slapped with the truth of holocaust and the concentration camp. Leave the place with heavy heart and may we be always reminded to treat people fairly and equally disregards of race, religion, physical appearance or imperfection.

What a fantastic learning journey in this Jewish museum. While it’s small in size it packed in all elements from first Jewish settlers all the way to holocaust and migrations to Australia. They are working on a project to make a live version-AI interaction with the survivors to tell their stories and it’s super super cool. Definitely go for a visit so we always know that the is historical event lives on.

David was a wonderful guide, he took us through different parts of the museum, explaining and giving some appreciated perspective. It is worth a visit, take your time and explore the exhibits and rich resources. Everyone working there is a volunteer, they are very helpful and friendly. The gift shop has a wide range of books to choose from.

An underrated museum that's a definite must for everyone. Lest we forget, any form of discrimination should not be condoned.

Incredible experience, with the amazing museum you can see the history of our world. We were extremely lucky to have the opportunity to talk to a Holocaust survivor which is magnificent.

I’m not sure that enough folks in Sydney know about this place, but they need to. It’s a world class facility and place of historical remembrance, but still with a deep focus on memories and recollections of the holocaust by those survivors who are still with us and residing in Sydney, with the lower ground floor devoted entirely to this. With video testimony of multiple survivors, as well as an AI exhibit where you interact directly with 3 survivors on their own personal experience. Outstanding venue, and the staff have obviously put in a lot of work over the many years to build this place up as an historical document to educate new generations going forth on the value of tolerance.

Well worth the visit as very informative. Great artifacts and historical pieces on display. Guided tours available during the day and free on Sundays. They also on occasions offer actual survivors tell their stories of their experiences. Amazing to listen to and very grounding.

A small but well curated museum, and the free guided tours are worthwhile.

Don’t miss the Nolan exhibition. Unsettling and extraordinary. Thanks to the Museum and its donors for bringing this to us. We will be going again, and making time to revisit the rest of the collection.

A must visit place. Not a happy visit but to avoid repeating such evil you need to recognise it. Incredible stories told by true survivors.

It's very difficult to describe the beauty and solemnity of the Jewish Museum. The renovations make it easier to navigate the history as well as the additional electronic interactive displays. I recommend anyone to visit the museum, you will be the better for it

Quite cramped though it was absolutely facinating to hear the story of a holocaust survivor in person. The person who spoke to me was Eddy and hes an absolute legend and his story of escaping the trains to aushwitz and such were mind boggling. It also has lots of relics and I found out a lot of new things on my trip there. The tour guides were less interesting but I still think its worth checking into.
