Bondi Junction 7 Day Medical Centre

Medical clinic

šŸ˜  I honestly do not understand how this facility still operating. The receptionists hang up on you several times if you attempt to call. You have to wait long periods to have your call answered. If you go in person it is even worse with an unpredicted waiting time. If you just need to hear your path... People often mention doctor, doctors, good, medical, wait, female, time, work, recommend, experience,

I honestly do not understand how this facility still operating. The receptionists hang up on you several times if you attempt to call. You have to wait long periods to have your call answered. If you go in person it is even worse with an unpredicted waiting time. If you just need to hear your pathology results I would recommend to find another GP and try to get in contact with them to receive your results. This whole experience is unprofessional, disrespectful and time consuming. I understand the shortage of staff at the facility, however the patiences should no be treated with such a lack of respect. Hire new people or close it down.

The worst medical centre I have ever attended. Unskilled admin staff with no customer service skills. Staff never answer the phone, when they do they hang up so they donā€™t have to take the call. This has happened to me more than 10 times. Get it wrong with simplest question like time they open, on 3 different occasions I was given 3 different answers. One day I attended to see Dr Annabattula and was informed she was on duty that day so I stayed. After waiting for 2 hrs I enquired how much longer I needed to wait, only to be told that she was not working on that day! Need to get rid of the whole lot and employ people that want to work and have the skills particularly now that they are no longer bulk billing and you have to pay for the consultation. No one is going to put up with this kind of service. I know Iā€™m not and will be going elsewhere. Appalling to say the very least. Practice manager really needs to step down.

Updated -June 2023. My bad experience here today reminded me of why it's so important to seek out good doctors, and why we need to read reviews first before we see any new doctor. It's the only way to protect ourselves. The 5stars I originally gave will remain for the good doctors that I mentioned in my original review, their names are all flagged below. -I've been a patient of the 7day Medical Centre Bondi Junction for 10plus years and stick with good doctors once I find them however today, Dr Myfanwy, the female doctor I recommend was away . Dr Faye Sinn another good female doctor, reception flagged had left the practice, so not knowing anyone else I mistakenly agreed to see 'any female Dr'. Don't do it! The Dr I saw today was dismissive, uninterested and unprofessional. Absolutely no joy or interest for her job whatsoever , that was obvious. Her manner was such that you really felt like you were a big nuisance to even be there?? I It was an unsettling experience and not the way you should feel after seeing a medical professional. -Ladies if you need to see a female doctor for something 'female' like I did today, I highly recommend Dr Myfanwy( who works Monday, Wednesday and Friday, but please confirm times with reception) If Dr Myfanwy is not available, find out the names of the available doctors that are on and check their reviews FIRST ,before you see them. Do not agree to 'any doctor'.like I did today . I had forgotten how bad it was . The general standard is shocking, Doctors with absolutely no pride in their work or care for your health. I stick to the same doctors for years once I find someone good, and today was a rude awakening reminding me of past times when I had had more bad experiences than good with random doctors. -The male doctors I recommend are , Dr Stuart Morris(Mon - Friday) and the Aroney Brothers . The Aroney Brothers though don't take appointments, however Dr Stuart Morris and Dr Myfanwy (female) do take appointments. -Please everyone post reviews of good doctors so we know who to see. My original review is written below - Original - Dr Stuart Morris, Dr Myfanwy, Dr Faye Sinn and the Aroney Brothers are all good doctors šŸ‘at Bondi Junction 7 day MedicalCentre. Unfortunately they are being let down by their reception staff .

Update Dec 2021 I called to make an Appointment as per Dr Esra's request. I was on the waiting line for 10 minutes. and then the receptionists pick up and just hang up on me. Update June 2021 Shame on you dr Simon Kerr. I'm pregnant and he is one of the ONLY GP shared care for pregnant women. I called up and receptionist told me he was working all day. I came in around 4pm and he refused to take me in. Coz he wanted to finished up for the day. I came back on the very next day at 2pm. And guess what? he went home early again. Wow. I traveled all the way here to see him. And he just disappears whenever he feels. I hope this is passed into him. Shame on you for not honoring the times you work. Update: August 2021. Different Doctor - Dr Trevor Tingate is cool! He is very chill and composed. Haha. Old review - April/May 2021 I highly recommend going here for bulk billing and bulk bill GP. The receptionist informed me that it will be up to an hour wait. Which I was totally fine with. I like this place coz its walk in. And no appointment. So I'm totally happy to wait. I was prepared with my laptop and worked on stuff. Which is awesome for passing time. I went on a Sunday. And I got called out after say 40mins. Awesome doctor too. So helpful.

Bad service and uncompassionate doctors. When you go in to see a doctor you are hoping to get medical advice and a bit of compassion...this is exactly the opposite of what was given! Doctors should go through some training on how to treat human beings...at least give proper medical advice...not just a quick "fix". Unacceptable from the people we so highly regard. A bit of empathy is great too but if you don't think that is part of the job description that's fine..at least do your job and give proper medical advice.

This is a walk in, bulk billing medical centre so thereā€™s some level of expectation in regards to the running of the place and the experience you are in for. My doctor was very abrupt, rude and condescending, I donā€™t think she looked at me in the eyes even once, thankfully the issue I was visiting for was a minor one that it didnā€™t bother me too much that this is the experience I had. On the plus side, contrary to many other reviews, the receptionists were excellent and I canā€™t fault them at all. If itā€™s just some quick advice or a doctors certificate youā€™re after then Iā€™d say that this place is fine, in and out, if itā€™s something more serious it might be worth at the very least asking for a doctor you may have heard positive things about.

Have the worst experience with this clinic twice now. (through second will be better). Went in with both my children in a double pram. Since I have Covid symptoms(sore throat and slight runny nose) which so common now. but I tested myself before I go in. The reception didnā€™t ask me fill in any form also didnā€™t ask me anything just registered me and ask me to wait. Waited 40mins. Then went the room just to the doctor realize oh you have sore throat I canā€™t see you unless you fill out a form even I explained Iā€™m negative on covid test. Then make me wait another 20mins cause there no one can help me with the pram go upstairs which they have a available doctor can actually see me straight away. Seem like the doctor on the ground floor donā€™t want to see you if you have covid symptoms. But eventually they see me after this long wait with my children. Oh donā€™t forget to mention the receptionist say if you donā€™t wanna wait you can go private which I need to walk to other place and wait againā€¦ I feel thatā€™s very disrespectful to someone who come to seek for medical care. Also feel a bit racist cause they think you are poor.

So grateful to be able to attend a" Walk In" Medical Centre in Bondi Junction. Great team of doctors and nurses- they are professional and when I had a fall I was treated immediately in their mini casualty area downstairs. The staff are caring and worked so hard during covid pandemic - This is a GP run clinic - not owned by a big company -Highly recommend

Doctor took 2 seconds to look over 5 pages of blood test results and said they were all normal. When I asked to see them it was clear there were a number of tests where my levels had dropped below half my usual levels and were right on the borderline of normal. No care factor. Gave 2 stars as it is convenient to be able to see a doctor quickly or get a referral with phone consult when you need it. Use another practice if you want good advice or care.

The worst medical centre! I have been chasing for my file to be sent to my new GP for no joke 4 months!! Countless calls, emails, I even went in and saw reception. My calls and emails were unanswered or I was promised my file would be sent. After speaking with a manager who also said they would get onto it, two weeks later I chased up again as I hadnā€™t heard only to be sent a $220 invoice so my files could be transferred! The first Iā€™ve heard of an invoice after 4 months!!! Absolutely outrageous. The worst service ever.

They are clearly after the $ They say they are bulked billed and walk in but only until they think is a good time to be. I got there at midday and they told me if I wanted to see a doctor I could but paying because the bulked billed were completed for the day. Will never go to this center if I need to pay is awful service and not very friendly practitioners. After 1 month trying I needed to pay to collect my results

Every medical worker at this centre is so aggressive, dismissive and condescending. Iā€™ve been yelled at by multiple drs at this facility and have faced so much judgment by certain drs when being told my diagnosis which just seems incredible to meā€¦The receptionists are horrible and so impatient. There is absolutely no reason for them to make patients who are there to seek help be made to feel belittled and embarrassed. Iā€™ve gone here multiple times purely based on accessibility and ease however Iā€™m reminded every time of why I hate this place so much. Everyone working here quite honestly should heavily reconsider their line of work because itā€™s obviously not for them :)

Used to be my family GP. I liked many doctors in the clinic and the nurses. Great services, attentive examination. But the waiting time is killing!!! I just spent 2.5h for just to see a nurse for a scheduled child vaccination. They should definitely try to introduce bookings. Or a different way for the kid's immunisation check-up.

I see an excellent doctor here; the nursing staff and receptionists are very pleasant BUT Don't bother ringing the practice. I've made 4 calls over several weeks and all finally dropped out at their end after a minimum of 12 mins and a maximum of 19 mins waiting. Don't bother looking for an email address because none is provided; however, their website does say to telephone the receptionist (laughter) or send a fax. Who uses faxes anymore? Don't we all scan and email? They need to get their act together and answer their telephone. If you can tolerate all of this, then this can be a very good practice but I fear even this loyal patient is going to look elsewhere.

Iā€™ve been going to this practice forever. I work full time now and canā€™t get there during the week. They close at 5:30ā€¦. I took the day off work to go to the doctor and had something private to talk about (obviously) but was only comfortable talking to a female doctor. I called before going in to see if it was still bulk billed to request a female doctor and was told it was. Because now if you request a doctor you have to pay. Which is awful for people with anxiety who can only talk to their doctor is honestly ridiculousā€¦ when I got there and requested a female doctor they said it was their policy to charge. I said I was requesting a specific doctor I wanted a female doctor as it was not something I was comfortable talking to a male doctor about (which I think is fair). The reception staff got so rude and angry and unnessarily aggressive towards me. Refused to show me the policy when o asked. I left not seeing a doctorā€¦

I recently had to take my 3 year old to the doctor here and was humiliated by one of the members of reception in front of all of the other patients when questioned about why he was coughing.(This team member was not wearing a mask). Iā€™d to explain that my son had a year of investigation into tonsillitis hence the cough. She then proceeded to tell me that the doctor would probably throw us out if she thought he had covid. I work in a Cosmedix/medical field and I can tell you now if we treated our patients with this intrusive and aggressive manner they wouldnā€™t return. Horrendous patient care.

Rude woman doctor, took me 3 days of calling for someone to answer my call. I think you could easily get 3-5 stars if you hired some people who some had pride in their job and their attitudes for work.

Dr. Ana Raif is a fantastic doctor. She genuinely cares for her patients. She is compassionate, listens to her patients, never rushes. Highly recommend. Dr. Raif is a great assest to this practice.

Really bad. Was not provided referral letter needed for rabies exposure on initial visit. Returned on Saturday for the letter and wasn't advised of the $90 fee to see another doctor to get the referral letter til after I saw the doctor. This doctor was very helpful but my experience with the first is bordering malpractice and I now have no money left for the rabies treatment. Violation of consumer laws to not advise me directly of cost to see doctor on Saturday. Very unethical to even ask me to pay considering it was first doctor failure to provide referral to specialist he told me to contact. Will be contacting the ACCC.
