Great spot to view this beautiful part of coastline. Very busy on the weekend and not easy to get a parking spot. This is the launch area for hang gliders. Best to keep a hold of your young children as the Clift edge is dangerously high and strong winds at times. Unless you are there for the hang gliders it is a better proposition to visit on a weekday.

Bald Hill lookout is located in Stanwell tops. I would like to recommend for the holidays. It is a very nice place and also a great scenic lookout point. You will be able to see the sea cliff bridge. There are a good coffee shop and good facilities. It is a 360-degree view. But not parking available much for this area.

Great lookout of the south coastline. With the addition of a cute little takeaway cafe. Great place to stop once you've been through the national park ordriving up along the south coast. If you are lucky you'll see some native wildlife hanging around! A must stop add to your " lookout destinations".

Stunning views all year round. Itโ€™s a beautiful drive to this lookout and further on to the Cliff bridge. Iโ€™ve been here a few times and Iโ€™m in awe of the beautiful landscapes each time. Highly recommend exploring this area.

Nice lookout place. Here you can see the ocean, hang-gliders and lots of motorcycles. If you are a bit peckish, you can order food and coffee here but they are very average. It's best continue on the Coalcliff sea bridge to get closer to town and get some nicer food.

A great stopping point on a ride day- weekends get a bit hectic but where else can you emerge from the great motorcycle road through Royal National Park to grab an ice cream as you watch hangliders and para gliders take off and fly around you? Accept that the road through the park has a low speed limit and set your mind to cruise and it's a great day. Keep heading south across Sea Cliff bridge and grab a feed at one of the cafes or pubs on the coast road and your weekend is complete.

What an amazing lookout across the town in the valley below and the sea cliff bridge in the distance. When we arrived, there was a thick sea fog, but this thinned and cleared away after about 30 mins - enough time for a coffee and a warmed muffin (didnโ€™t even know this was a thing but am so glad I came across it - lovely warm awesomeness!!!!). The view along the coast was stunning and the sea cliff bridge itself looked amazing. Really enjoyed the stop. There are toilets, a cafe, an ice cream van and free parking. Worth a visit.

Scenic lookout over the NSW coastal cliffs. Iconic gliding launch with a few schools offering top-notch tandem flights and training. Attracts many pilots, bikers and spectators. Good hiking start/end point when walking in the Royal National Park. Easily accessed by car or train (Otford or Stanwell Park stations)

A fantastic panoramic view of the ocean and coastline. Also amazing view over the suburb of Stanwell Park and it's beach. It's free and has toilet facilities. There was an ice cream truck there on Christmas day.

Stanwell Tops Lookout stands as a captivating destination, presenting unmatched vistas of the coastline and verdant landscapes. The journey leading to this scenic point is a visual delight, preparing visitors for a breathtaking experience. Widely embraced by hang-gliding enthusiasts, the location emanates an adventurous allure. A delightful cafรฉ on-site elevates the visit with its delectable offerings, contributing to an enhanced overall experience. Nevertheless, navigating parking, especially during peak times, proves to be a logistical challenge. Breathtaking views. Mountains in one side and pacific ocean in the other side. Stanwell Tops is an exurban locality between the cities of Sydney and Wollongong. Itโ€™s a prime spot for hang gliding and paragliding as well as the perfect spot to take a photo and admire the views of the ocean, the escarpment and the Sea Cliff Bridge. Weekend can be busy as itโ€™s a popular and well known place.

The view is beautiful. Just sit there and stare the nature and sea. Its so relaxing. My son did paragliding there and that was a life time experience for him. The cost is little on the higher side but experience is worth it.

Lovely spot South of the Royal National Park, good views of the Pacific Ocean and the coast south to Wollongong (including the Seacliff Bridge). Crowded today with a special event at the nearby Hindu temple drawing crowds to the area plus good winds attracting hangliders and parasailers. Has a cafe with good food and coffee.

  • 5/5 Burhan K. 6 months ago on Google
Beautiful lookout point plenty of parking but opt for a pleasant day as heat on a sunny day is a deal breaker if youโ€™re looking to spend more time enjoying the natural beauty and walk.
