Moharram restaurant is a traditional local place in Rasht city, Gilan province, Iran. The Sour Kebab (Kabab Torsh) was somewhat hard to chew (it was made of beef, instead of lamb) but delicious; Sour Chicken Kebab (Jooje Torsh) on the other hand, was delighful. You have to notice that they bring smoked rice by default, you have to tell them if you wish to have normal rice. The staff were incredible! So polite and elegant. They're all so professional and experienced. There was not even a single thing wrong with the service. Quality of the material was acceptable as well. There is just the matter of taste and texture that some might not like. They also have a large water dispencer, so you don't have to order bottled water seperately. Generally this is a nice, well known place.

There was a time when Moharram was the best restaurant in Rasht, but now it's not even in the top 50 Chicken wasn't good at all, and kababs was a shadow of Moharram's glory years I remember when i was a child, people would stay in lines for hours to get in, and you could feel love and heaven in your mouth when you took a bite of Moharram's food, but unfortunately there's nothing left of that beauty 😔
