I can say that it’s my place! I love it. You can figure out the city Rasht here in this square. 24/7 it’s alive. You can see girls and women are walking and hanging out at 2-3 A.M and it’s pretty safe despite of lot’s of other cuties of Iran. I started one of my first photo project here in this square. There is something els! When we miss our friends it is enough to walk through this square and see lots of old school friends. I’m sure everyone will love here. Of course it’s an ordinary place but we are also ordinaries for sure!

It’s a must-see in Rasht. The redesign of the square that turned it into a pedestrian only area was absolutely great. I wish they focused on organizing more authentic fairs in the square than religious ones.

The current Rasht Municipal Square in Rasht city, with buildings in the Eastern European architectural style, belongs to the first Pahlavi period, which was known as "Darb Diwani Square" in the Qajar period due to the presence of Rasht Diwani buildings. This square, which today is called "Medan Shahadai Zahab" in memory of the martyrs of Sarpol Zahab, was registered as one of the national monuments of Iran on 26 December 1356 with registration number 1516.

Most iconic landmark of Rasht and probably the province of Gilan. It’s like the Washington DC National Mall… it is open to pedestrians only, very commercialized (mostly food ❤️‍🔥), and offers a decent light-work at night. Each street leading to the square has a unique design, so remember to explore them individually :) #iran #gilan #rasht

Central square of Rasht in which Iran's first cultural sidewalk is located. Historical municipality building of Rasht at west side, Rasht old fashioned grand Bazaar at south, historical building of Post office, historical building of governory, police station and Khatam Al-Anbia cultural complex at north side and central road to the city of Lahijan located at east side of the square. Midnights you can find street food sellers with their mobile BBQ in which they cook different kinds of kebab and serving it with hot bread. Afterwards please yourself with a cup of sweet cherry tea.

It has a unique vibe The environment is very attractive At night, a lot of tourists and locals walk here and there and spend time. I went, it was cold and crowded, but according to the locals, it was quiet because it was cold and you have to stand in line to get a cup of tea! In general, it is one of those spaces that you always remember and want to repeat again. Nights are full of young and attractive vendors, street food, dirty barbecue! And ... and it is alive and dynamic and busy until almost morning

There is a paved square in front of which there is a historical building, also the streets leading to this square have various shops and carpet shops. According to the lighting, I think the night image of the square is more beautiful.

Overall, Rasht is a strange place, as if the only tuition fee does not want to lose its history. You can still breathe the atmosphere of 50 years ago in this city. Municipal Square is exactly the place that takes us back to the 1940s with its buildings and architecture. I definitely recommend it. Visit this square, especially at night because it gives you a strange atmosphere

They are playing frisbee in the middle of the historical square of the nation! It is very crowded and there is not much peace in the space.

Rasht Municipality Square (Meydan-e Shahrdari-e Rasht) is one of the most beautiful squares in Iran. Historic buildings, important urban buildings, a number of important streets and traditional and modern shopping malls around it have turned the Municipality Square into the main square of the city.
