This
caravanserai
is
located
in
Siahkal
city
of
Gilan
province,
and
it
is
located
exactly
10
kilometers
from
the
Siahkal-Dilman
road,
on
the
right
side
of
Shamrod
river
and
the
confluence
of
Shamrod
and
Babakoh
water.
This
route
used
to
be
one
of
the
busiest
routes
and
was
the
commercial
and
communication
route
from
East
Gilan
to
the
central
part
of
Iran.
TT
means
flower
in
Gilaki
language
and
because
there
were
many
flowers
on
this
route,
this
caravanserai
was
named
TT.
The
history
of
this
building
dates
back
to
about
500
to
600
years
ago,
and
it
was
used
until
fifty
years
ago,
that
is,
until
the
current
communication
routes
were
not
built
and
horse
and
mule
transportation
had
not
been
replaced
by
motorized
vehicles
and
cars.
Been.
TT
Caravanserai,
located
in
Siahkol,
Gilan,
is
one
of
the
two
adobe
caravanserai
in
Jamande
Gilan
and
one
of
the
buildings
attributed
to
Sadat
Al-Kia
local
government.
This
work
was
registered
as
one
of
the
national
works
of
Iran
on
12
December
1375
with
registration
number
1784.
This
caravanserai
is
one
of
the
type
of
caravanserai
with
two
porches,
which
is
built
outside
the
city
and
has
a
central
courtyard,
while
other
parts
are
located
around
the
courtyard.
The
plan
of
this
building
is
square
and
with
dimensions
of
34
meters,
and
the
entrance
gate
is
located
in
the
northern
part.
There
are
two
square
rooms
with
an
area
of
17
square
meters
on
both
sides
of
the
vestibule.
A
small
pond
can
be
seen
in
the
middle
of
the
courtyard,
and
in
its
four
corners
are
square
rooms
with
an
area
of
14
square
meters,
which
were
the
resting
place
of
caravans
and
their
protection
from
bandits
and
wild
animals.
In
the
southern
part
of
the
building,
you
can
see
a
large
porch,
which
was
probably
used
as
a
nave.
The
rooms
located
in
the
four
corners
all
have
cross
vaults.
One
of
the
features
of
this
building
is
that
all
its
parts
are
similar.
