A symbol of freedom in the city center. Beautiful to see at night with the impressive light display. What’s interesting about the roundabouts in Cambodia, is that every time you go to a different place you see one that you’ve never seen before. Some appear similar. I’m certain there is a duplicate in one or two places in the country, I just haven’t seen it yet. It makes a cool little side mission while out on bigger tours and photo opportunities to catch these unique sights. Come visit Ban Lung!

This is not independence monument in Ratanakiri.

Ratanakiri landmark. It has been here I do not know since when but very long time ago. Possibly since Banlung became the main district. There is also myth behind this round about. They say that there is a network of tunnel under the structure and some giant snakes use those tunnels.

It is an easy sign for finding the Banlung Market (it indicates the direction. The Banlung Market and Beng Kanseng in opposite directions. There are no traffic lights in this city at all.
