This is the frist branch of popular Cargills super market chain in ratnapura. Compare to other branch somewhat backwards things can be seen in this place. All over not a bad market but You will have to wait as not enough cashier place to each counter. Also they are not keen on to give discounts display on advertisements,they behave like not knowing those factors until you ask. Average price can be seen. Quality of some goods like fish, fruits potatoes must be cheked. Meet section customer service is good and friendly they are ready to cut the meet you buy. car park in basement is spacious and safe.

Cashier can't handle the check out due to have big purchased. And called for the help several times and no obe show up. I told the cashier to give me some shoppping bags, then I can do the bagging myself. Look like lack of management. Because; I saw the management prrson talking to the customer about the covid vaccine since the cashier need help.

Wrong location. Nearest food city is in this area is at Bandarawela town. Can find shops which are similar to food city in Haputhale town which is around 25 - 30 km.

Im visiting here atleast twice a month for buy most of our home needs and verything thing is in a fair price.There is a cargills bank, pharmacy, liquor stall, meat stall, vegetables n fruits stalls, and every others. And also if u are a cargills loyalty member u coud have discount too
