One of the beautiful waterfall in the Ayagama area. It can be easily accessible from the road using the footpath near the bridge. It is possible to reach all layers of the waterfall. At the bottom it is possible to bathe but always be careful. No parking fees or entrance tickets required. Generally, area is not polluted so it is important to save it as it is for future generations.

It was raining heavily when I reached there. It is easy to findas it is close to the road. Google map gives you the correct directions. A staircase had been built to climb down. Willing to go there again.

Most wonderful waterfall in rathnapura district near Gawaragiriya.highly recommend for enjoy and bath safety, but the upper area of the waterfall much deeper than the lower area.so,bathing in the lower area is more safety. There are lot of indigenous plants, animals, fishs and birds living around this location. yowunsancharakayo.blogspot.com

Minee Ella waterfall is wide beautiful one. Better if you visit in rainy season as you can see complete wider waterfall. You can reach top to bottom of falls. But when you walk on stones, be careful as it's sleipery. This can easily access as its locat beside the road. Please do not harm to the environment if you visit. And do not litter 🚯

Minee Ella waterfall is a picturesque attraction located near the route Ayagama - Gawaragiriya. The waterfall is small in size but incredibly beautiful, making it a must-see for those who love nature. It is very easily accessible as it is located near the road and has a nearby parking area. The waterfall is particularly breathtaking in the rainy season, with cascading waters and a green environment.

One of the most beautiful waterfall I've seen. The road is also very good and very easy to find the place. The place is really nice we spent nearly 3 hours hours there. We had a bath also. The place is safe to have a bath. There is a natural pool where we can have a relaxed bath. Very beautiful and must see place in sri lanka.

Height : 9 meters District : Ratnapura Pankandura Ella ( Minee Ella ) fall is created by the Galpothawa River and is divided into three main segments. The lowest is 9m in height and cascades downwards over a series of steps in a spiral motion. It is also known as the β€˜Minee Falls’ (Corpses Falls) owing to the fact that the bodies of people who drown in the river above are swept down by the torrent of water. In the surrounding woodland, kaduru (Strychnos nux-vomica), palu (Manilkara hexandra), breadfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus), liyan, badulla (Semicarpus obscura), milla (Viterx altissima) and goraka are present.

Minee ella is an attractive waterfall in Ayagama - Rathnapura. Reaching the place through public transport is not easy as there is only one CTB bus that leads towards the waterfall. Route from Colombo ( Colombo - Panadura- Idangoda - Ayagama - Gavaragiriya) One can get on to the Rathnapura- Panadura bus to get down from Idangoda. The fall is less crowded and one can see the full view only in the rainy seasons. Be cautious, the rocks are super slippery. The middle of the two pools are deep as to what the villagers stated.
