One of the best Rest Houses in the country. Many rest houses are not maintained properly. Some rest houses are closed. But Ratnapura Rest House is in superb condition . Rest house is in very close proximity to the town (walking distance). There are two newly built rooms and other rooms are in first floor and ground floor. Non Air Condition category is Rs.2500-3000/=. Affordable prices. There is a restaurant where you could have your meals (Breakfast , Lunch and Dinner). There is a wedding hall for reception. Ample parking space. Two entrances. These rest houses are run by Sri Lanka Tourist board. Wedding couples come here for wedding photographs 📷. This Rest House is an Archeological Monument. Excellent.

One of oldest rest house in Sabaragamuwa area which is located in the Heart of the Rathnapura town. Food is very tasty, excellent and economical . Staff is well experienced and provide good customer care service and they maintain the quality standards of service. Bar is avilable at the location. ample parking avilable. Very popular with foreign travelers since the have the accomadation as well within the walking distance form town.

Unbeatable value for money. Air conditioned rooms with hot water at very reasonable rates. The service is excellent and there's ample parking. The location is very close to the city centre.

The room I stayed was infested with cockroaches and giant spider. Even worse the room smells as if someone smoked like right before I checked in. Since its official travel I didn't stay in the room but, there are few that could be improved. 1. Electrical appliances - no tv, ac works weirdly only 16°C, ac remote does not work, ceiling fan works only at max speed. 2. Food - prices are exorbitant, limited choice when I asked mix F/R its not available. 3. Service - generally ok but, I asked for my bed tea at 6 but didn't get it on time. 4. Cleanliness - 👎👎👎👎👎.

Old bunglow situated on top of hill at rathnapura town.when we visit We were not welcomed. There were cat feces on the chairs at the table where we sat to eat. Dishes were smell eggs. They were not washed properly. We did not eat there. The cleanliness was very bad.

Great place. There is nothing to complain about the price. This place has a long history of good service as this is a very established place. The rooms were clean and tidy. There was ample space to put our bags and stuff. The A/C worked fine. A broken TV bracket was there, but a TV was not promised, so it was a bit odd. The bathroom was clean. There was a good set of furniture. The service was great. The staff was kind, thoughtful, and very attentive.

Came for lunch with quite a large group. Took more than 1 hour to bring our food. We ordered 2 pork red curries less spicy as we had 2 kids who cant eat spicy food. But the amount of spice those two included were to much even for a grown adult. And lastly, we were overcharged. Pork Red curry was around but they billed for something else which was much more pricey than what we ordered. Never ever go to this godforsaken place even if you're about to die of hunger.

You can find this place on the top of the pretty mountain near the middle of Ratnapura city. Very peaceful place to relax your mind. Foods and beverages are tasty. Nice place to have a drink with your amicable, and they are selling many kinds of liquors. This place is an archaeological tower. So the entire place looks and takes you to the 20th century. Most of this place is surrounded by the forest. When you come here you may forget that you are in the middle of the city of Ratnapura.

I visited here for a wedding. Nice location. But the building and wedding hall should be refurbished. Not good for a wedding compared to other hotels in ratnapura. Dirty table covers and chair covers.

What a sham! Avoid like the plague. A tea costs Rs 300 for a cup of hot water and a tea bag. Unforgivable . The worst possible stop ever made.

its a nice place to stay. dinusha and other staff are helpful.even my wedding party was happen last month((2019.12.06).i had cancel my staying with them and i paid 20000 sir Lankan rupees as a advance for my 10 night booking.but they promise me to return that money within 2 weeks. now more than one month still not return.and the thing im i working out of country.when i call mr keerthi (manager )he talk very rood and ignore me. the thing my wife not a sir Lankan passport holder. mr keerthi (manager) has to know how to talk to guest and he is not suet for hospitality industry.my self im i working hospitality industry and i know how to treat to gust and even guest is wrong as a responsible persons we have to mange the situation such a manner way.not like the whey mr keerthi(manager) managing and solving guest issues. even he doesn't no how talk politely to the guest. and im not happy with that.
