This was a nice cozy little hotel close to a waterfall and not too far from Colombo. The service was good and the food was amazing. They serve local as well as some western meals. The best part was enjoying a nice cold beer at night, everything outside is pitch black but you can hear the waterfall, insects and various animals and the cool rainforest like climate adds to the ambience. During the day time there's much to see in the area, many places to hike and trek to. be sure to pack plenty of insect repellent and a sturdy pair of boots since you'll be hiking through the rainforest. You could even sit on top of a rock and meditate for hours or take a dip in the river. When I was there I lucked out and I was able to see the waterfall come down in full force, it was a magnificent sight. I had some pictures somewhere and I'll be sure to edit this post with the pictures once I find them. During the weekends the place gets crowded with locals but the weekdays are the best since it's so peaceful and calm. Hope to visit again one day.

This place is located right next to the entrance of Bopath Falls. A good place to have your lunch after a dip in river. Caretaker is kind and attentive person. Foods also really good and prices are very reasonable. Best thing is you can bring your own booze. The dinning area is calm and has a good view of Falls as per the photos

One of the great place I have stayed in my travel life. Food was fantastic as well as the view of the Bopathella from the room. Nice service and affordable prices.

Average place and worth for money. Probably this must be the best around bopath ella. Rooms and the restaurant have the view of the waterfall. Food is good and most menu items are not available due to lack of stock and lack of guests. Dont expect many facilities and worth for money. Hot water is good. Calm environment but expect mosquitoes in the room.

We enjoyed so much at Minara during our stay there and the management and the staff also were very helpful and kind. Such a relaxing place to spend a nice vacation! Highly recommended!

The food here is just off the charts! Their local rice and curry is hands down one of the best rice and curry you ll ever taste in Sri Lanka. So many interesting activities which involves nature. Must do’s - hike to the top of the water falls, river dinning (arranged on prior request), bon fire drinks session or BBQ and not forgetting a nice and cool river bath!

Our group of friends and families stayed from 13-15th July at the Minara Bopath Ella. It was one of the nicest places we have stayed. Views of the water fall (just in front) was breathtaking, not to mention the hilly and cool surroundings. Service was excellent. All the Rooms had AC and Hot water too and clean. The staff were very cordial and accommodating which was very nice of them. We met the owners also we met on the day of arrival and frequently inquired about our well being. Prices were reasonable too including full board costs. All in all, we enjoyed the place and will rate excellent and will visit again for sure. KAMAL and Friends.

Minara offers a good view of the famous Bopath falls(Ella). Take a 2 minute walk and you will be at the entrance of the falls. Good service and lovely sri lankan food for those who dine here.
