This route is beautiful. It gives feeling like in journey to a forest. Absolutely yes it is jungle way route towards Sri Padaya. It's easy way to pilgrimage Sri padaya. Nevertheless getting down is not same. However this is ancient route to Sri padaya and most beautiful one.

If you are nature lover, you must use this path to go to Sri pada. As well as if continues rain do not use this path due to the Seethagagula river will became aggressive. 😊 Do not forget to take raincoats due to always unexpected rain get down. ❤️ Do not polluted this area if you willing to use this.

Very beautiful nature location in sripada sanctuary. Foot path 13km long. Major Buddhist worship places, temporary food stall available along this Pathway in December to April sessions, Not recommend to go as heavy rain and customs in off sessions.

Kuruwita Erathna trail is the longest trail to sri paada with 12km in Total and it took 15 hours for four of us to reach the peak. Not recommending for children and old people. Environment is really beautiful and anyone can enjoy while on the trail. Recommending to start the climb in early morning around 6.00am or else you’ll miss most the beauty in the nature. You’ll find ambalam in each 3km post. Do not recommend to climb the trail straight without a rest of at least an hour for every 7 hours. Do not destroy the nature and do not throw plastic and bags to the nature.

This tail is the longest tial in other tails in sisipada. This tail is 14km long it like tuwice long than hatton tail. This tail is the most beautiful tail. In this tail is not a well build one. Only some place have only small path only. In this tail we can found more and more water spots we can use to drink. That water is very good other tails. All are natural. This tail is not harmful for environment. Because This tail not have cement blocks or stairs. This path is environmental friendly. But this tail is hard. Some palace have large water path hard to crossing while raining. This path suitable for youngers. This tail dont have bridge for cross the seetha gagula river. You must cross the river using your leges. But raining is dangerous for this crossing because water level is going high quickly. In this tail have little number of shops. Price is smaller than other tails. But this parth is best. Try it. Enjoy it. But do eny harm for environment. Don't put waste environment.

This was my first time doing this trail and I loved it. You'll get to walk through the nature, see many beautiful Eco systems throughout your journey. I'm not sure but I think I walked more than 25 km to get to the peek, given I used zig zag walking tactics to climb steep rocks and stairs. If you're planning to use this trail, a walking stick is highly suggested.

One of the most scenic route to Sri Padha through the forest. Difficulty level can be categorised from moderate to advance. Be prepared for the rain since there is limited shops and resting please along the way. You can park your vehicle at the starting point. But there is no dedicated parking area.

Yeh we started the journey from Battaramulla I'll narrate the route from there Kaduwela> Awissawella > Ahaliyagoda > Erathna trail head by 11 pm. From there onwards our walk was non stop but with just 5 mins breaks in few places as it's night and nothing much to see in dark but this is during March. Journey to the summit took 7 hrs we also had to see the sunrise on the way in Rathnapura trail. The worship area was open by then. By in 6 hrs we also finished and return to Colombo by 4pm. I have also done this during day time observing nature to its bits. Staring off with a Paduruthalawa Mountain that in off season make beautiful waterfalls, the river flows smoothly but in off season it even will not let you pass to the extent of making flash floods I have seen it. Then Kuru river in 1/3 rd of journey make sure to see near the police post. Also there is a white small post statue inside way before Kuru river we found a lot of Moths there.

You can find advikanda buses from ratnapaura to reach this place. This is little town just before starting Sri pada trail via kuruwita - erathna

It is a great route, very few traffic, but it ll be tough on your legs. Toilets are quite clean. Path is lit, but you will need a light of your own at certain sections. There are shops in like every 2km but has basic stuff only. Even than going up, climbing down will be difficult due to rocky path. Better take some energy drinks. Water is plentiful.

This trail is one of the most beautiful trails to Sri Pada. There is a bus to be taken from rathnapura to Erathna and it takes around 45 mins to the destination. Better to start the journey early in the early morning from Rathnapura. Half way through, there is a cross point of a water stream and that is a good place to relax and have a bath. The enviroment is beautiful along the way to the peak. Roughly it takes around 12 hours to reach the peak. Bit strenuous. Must watch the Sun Rise.
