Excellent guest house! We were well looked after by Nimal, who was able to tell us everything we need to know about climbing Adamโ€™s Peak. He arranged a great dinner for us which was ready for our arrival. Also, probably the best breakfast of our trip! (Picture from our coffee, sat on the guesthouse balcony on our return from the hike.)

We loved it. The accommodation ticks all the boxes, neat, clean, hot showers and comfy beds. But what really makes Queen's Ark is the hospitality. The owner, Nee-Mal, is so friendly, funny and well-educated, and is an amazing host, as well as, a brilliant chef. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. Thank you Nee-man for making Adam's Peak so special. Nicole and Logan

It's a okay hotel for a decent price if you want to hike Adams peak. What is unfair though is that they offered us tea and water without us asking for it at arrival and a second time. We assumed it as a kind gesture and accepted the drinks but we were presented with an additional 1200 rupees on our overall hotel bill. It's just not okay to not be transparent about that.

This has definitely been one of the best hotel experiences of Sri Lanka. The owner is very friendly, the food at the hotel is great and the rooms are very spacious. The owner cooks the food himself and it tastes great! The shower is great, thereโ€™s warm water and its very clean. I definitely recommend the hotel, no doubt!

This is a small but wonderful hotel. We went there before hiking Adams peak. Spacious and comfortable rooms with nice view. Food is delicious. If you need hot water it is available. Very friendly host. 100% recommend this place.

We had a great stay at Queen's Ark! The hotel is run by Nimal who is incredibly friendly, hospitable and makes you feel comfortable and welcome. The rooms are very spacious with modern bathrooms. Highly recommend you stay here if you're visiting the area or climbing Sri Pada/Adam's Peak!

The room was clean and spacious and the location quite good to start the hiking to Adamโ€™s peak. If you go there by bus you can ask the driver to stop in front of the hotel because itโ€™s exactly on the bus route, not far from the main bus station. If you want to enjoy the landscape ask for a room upstairs, otherwise you will be overlooking a not nice spot. Hot water is provided by a super tiny boiler, so it runs out even with a quick shower and itโ€™s not enough for two people at all, not a nice thing after the hiking. The services that you see listed (kitchen, washing machine etc) are not free and quite overpriced instead, though the food was nice. Internet runs out, so you will have to ask them to recharge when itโ€™s not working.

Very nice place for the price. Also the Hostel owner is a very nice and friendly guy who'll make sure that everything's alright during your stay. Speaks English very well also. He's a great chef as well.

Nimal and his brother were really friendly and helpful, we had one of the best rice and curries we had in Sri Lanka, and the rooms are very comfortable. The perfect place to stay before climbing Adamโ€™s Peak!

The variety of places to stay in this area is quite poor and this one was a very good choice. It has really good locaion, quiet area, 5 min walk to the village centre, perfect start point to Adam's Peak. It was also close to beautiful tea fields. Great Sri Lanka breakfast if you ask host for it. We had great comunication with the host, who speaks good english. During our stay the place was still unfinished, but it's not inconvenience. Homemade great dinner costs 800 rupees per person.

Only stayed the one night, to climb Adam's peak, though I wouldn't have minded staying another. Gracious and generous host who provided advice about the climb and offered further support in the form of flashlights and jackets for the guests without these. Rooms were spacious, clean and welcoming with a view of the nearby creek from an equally spacious balcony. Lovely. The bathroom had probably the best shower we've had for our whol, month long trip in Sri Lanka, with a large heater. Just be sure you pre-heat it before showing. If you do, it's amazing. If not, the water pressure is still better than most other places. Food was also tasty and well prepared.

Absolutely lovely place to stay if you are planning on climbing Adams Peak as it's right at the bottom pretty much. Our room had a beautiful view of the mountains, it was so comfortable and clean and spacious! Not to mention the food! If you stay definitely have dinner there. The owner Nimal is lovely! Would highly recommend!

The best host, who also cooks incredibly well. Dinner and breakfast all delicious local flavours. Cannot commend the hospitality enough. Comfortable accommodation ideal for Adam's Peak, basic but perfectly functional.

This hotel and its owner was one of our best experiences in our trip in Sri Lanka! We had both dinner and breakfast with amazing local flavors and a super kind host! He even prepared for us sandwiches on the night before going for the Adams Peak.

The Sri Lanka Breakfast (rice, curry, sooo good) was the best, please try it!

Nimal is the best host we could have wished for! Outstanding hospitality with welcome drinks and some of the best food we had in Sri Lanka! Our room was spacious with a brand new big bathroom with hot showers! Nimal helped us with booking a driver to continue our trip after the hike! Itโ€™s just 10mins walk to the trailhead and then 2-3hrs hike to the temple on top of Adams peak. Nimal packed us sandwiches, bananas and water for the hike! Everything was perfect! We wished we could have stayed longer! Highly recommended to stay there!

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ After our exhausting hike to Adams Peak we stopped for breakfast in this nice looking hotel/ restaurant. The owners were super friendly.
