Delightful
homestay
near
the
base
of
the
trail
to
hike
Sri
Pada.
We
arrived
late
around
9pm,
and
a
delicious
vegetarian
dinner
was
cooked
for
us
within
15
minutes
with
fresh
vegetables
picked
from
their
own
garden.
Despite
us
not
booking
a
guide
in
advance,
Raja
(the
owner)
kindly
offered
to
come
with
us
for
Rs
5000
which
was
useful
as
we
were
hiking
in
off
peak
season
and
there
were
no
lights
along
the
trail.
Raja
is
a
local
who
has
climbed
up
and
down
Sri
Pada
over
a
few
hundred
times,
and
some
times
even
climbs
twice
in
one
day.
The
start
of
the
trail
is
only
10
minutes
away
from
the
house,
the
only
downside
being
the
road
leading
down
to
the
house
is
somewhat
steep
and
narrow,
so
be
cautious
if
driving
down
it.
A
wonderful
breakfast
is
provided
in
the
morning,
which
was
exactly
what
we
needed
post
our
hike.
As
the
family
is
strictly
vegetarian
and
don't
eat
eggs,
there
is
not
much
protein
in
some
of
their
meals,
so
would
recommend
bringing
your
own
protein
or
yogurt
like
snacks
to
eat
if
hiking.
The
homestay
has
tea
gardens
surrounding
it,
and
a
stream
running
behind,
and
would
be
peaceful
to
stay
for
an
extra
few
days
before
or
after
hiking
Sri
Pada.
A
generous
and
welcoming
family
run
homestay,
I
would
highly
recommend
this
booking
to
anyone
wanting
to
hike
up
Adam's
Peak.
