This waterfall is about 12m high. Which is situated among trees such as halmilla (Berrya cordifolia), jack (Artocerpus heterophyllum), midella, attamba (Mangifera zeylonica), palmyra (Caryota urenus) and bamboo. Villagers say that the ancient King Walagamba bathed and organized his armies at this site, hence ‘Raja’ or ‘King’ in the fall’s name. The fall is also said to harbour gold in a mysterious and difficult to locate tunnel that is guarded by stone doors.

As far as waterfalls go, it would be silly to skip this one. If you're looking for a no fuss little waterfall to go jump in, look no further. It's less than a minutes walk from the main road and is perfect for a quick swim.

Aha! Please go on weekdays as this place is very famous among the locals and the waterfall has its own road to reach so the crowd was a slight problem! But other than that it’s beautiful fall, I’m glad I had the whole place for myself and I loved it! Easy spot for lunching by a waterfall. As it’s on the main road too! 3 mins from the A4 main road so it’s a easy stop on the way for a lunching spot

This is a beautiful waterfall located in Rathnapura with a very easy access. From Ratnapura Kalawana road you can get the access to the waterfall. If you follow the google maps you can easily reach the location and next to the bridge there is a pathway with a railing on steps which leads to the waterfall. Within a 50m walk you can witness this beauty.

"𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗮𝘀 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿." ⚠️ A waterfall with a historical past located in Marapana area on Ratnapura - Kalawana road. It can be reached by a 20-minute ride from Ratnapura city. This waterfall has two parts. The lower part of this waterfall is shallow. You can reach the upper part of the waterfall by going through the stairs on the left. Most people go to this top. There is also a bathing area below and a scenic environment. Also, the base of the waterfall here is very deep. Everyone who comes here must be very careful when going to the bottom of the upper part and 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. Therefore, tourists who come to visit this from outside should be concerned about it and the protection of the environment.

Rajanawa waterfall situated just 6km away from Ratnapura town. Easily accessible from Ratnapura - Kalawana main road. It is surrounded by Large trees which gives a lush greenery surrounding. Good for a quick family visit. There are folktales related to Rajanawa (රජ නෑව) and king Walagambha. So it has a historical value too.

You can easily reach this place using google maps. There is a fruit juice shop at the location. You can park at there and reach to the place by walking. It seems like to me that place is a usual drinking spot of people. The water was crystal clear. You can bath here too. The place was safe. A villager said that there was a place to bath above the waterfall where you can reach through the woods. It is usually crowdy even in week days. Eventhough it was a drinking place of the people, it was not destroyed by leftovers. So please keep the place clean if you are visiting it.

Located around 150m away from Marapana Junction. Not too far from the main road and easy to reach to the fall with 30-50m walk on the footpath. Not too tall with height of 10-12m, but fascinating view when full of water. Beautiful place to visit.
