Sampa came to our hotel and introduced himself to us. He was very friendly and offered to show us around. We agreed to go to Sinharaja rainforest. On the way there he explained a lot about where we were going, his english is very good. In the evening he invited us to his house to have dinner, we had a wonderful time there. The food that his mother prepared was great and not spicy at all, because we told him that we weren't used to it. He did everything so that we would feel comfortable! The next day he arranged a visit to a gem mine, which was very interesting! He likes to talk about his country and makes a lot of suggestions where to go next. We highly recommend his service, he was a reliable translator and the price was fair. We would love to welcome you in Austria one day!

Had an amazing tour of the gem mines with Sampa! Definetely reccomend to anyone who visits Sri Lanka, one of the highlights of my 2 weeks in the country!

I went to ratnapura , and arrived in the evening. I was looking for a room and found sampas contact, picked me up after a few minutes and brought me to the best hotel I been so far in Sri Lanka . The room was super clean and cheap , a bit outside the city with a lot of nature around me . Sampa was super friendly and helped me with everything I wanted. In the next day we went to a waterfall together wich was a great experience, he really knows about the area and can explain a lot of things . He brought me to some really nice restaurant always asking what I would prefer . I can highly recommend to him as a tour guide . When ever I gonna visit ratnapura again he is the first person I Gina call . After the days I spent with him I not only got a route guide I even found a new friend . Thank you so much for showing me around and hope to see you again in the future.

10/10 Sampa is a great dude. Full of energy. Knows Ratnapura like the back of his hand. Also appears to know every other person, too. His English is fantastic and he’ll go out of his way to make sure you’re fully catered for. Had a fantastic day exploring the gem trade with him.

I ended up doing a ratnapura tour to the mines and waterfall with him. It was a lot of fun for a reasonable price. He speaks decent English and also knows everyone in the city. A great contact to have. He tries hard to make sure you have everything you need. He drove me on tuktuk the next day to the south and I got to try some new food items on the way. He knows a lot about Sri Lanka. Also I appreciate the gem museum he chooses because the owner doesn't push on sales. I approve!
