I've visited several times this place for some workshops. We have faced some difficulties during that time because of the staff behaviour. The front office staff behaviours are not professional at all. They are not friendly and rude to their customers. The restaurant staff is very friendly but the food menu is sometimes very delicious and sometimes not. Conference hall officers' behaviour is also not friendly and not supportive. Good places for outdoor activities. Good for visiting with family and friends. Suitable for Office trips

Food is good. Surroundings are beautiful. This place is good for family trips. There are lots of activities you can do there. If you go there, make sure to have time for these activities.

We had a great time. Staff was supportive, facilities are superb. Food was good. There were lot of Activities both included in the package and to be paid at the premises. The paid ones are very reasonably priced. Play grounds, kids park, play areas amd play equipments are very well maintained and in good condition. The pool is 4.5 ft to 8ft deep. But the pool attendant was very attentive and alert. Gardens well maintained. Water provided abundantly around the premises. Lot of photo locations for girls to enjoy. Highly recommend.

Well worth of your money. Located in an isolated area far from main attractions a bit old 3 star resort is a good place for a family/ friends outing. Although it's a army owned place is maintained professionally and staff was friendly beyond expectations. Kids enjoyed very much lots of space for sports like cricket badminton basketball. Don't expect a fancy pool area or a gym. Lots of safe outdoor activities for all ages cable rides, horse rides, boat rides and many more. Buffet was delicious for that price although spread was lacking. Rooms were clean comfy. We stayed on a cottage consisting 3 separate rooms ample ac and hot water was available through out our stay. Overall it was a pleasant experience and hope management will focus on improving the place to it's former glory.

Rooms were very clean and tidy, but if you take an apartment (there are 2 bedroom and 3 bedroom apartments), keep in mind that the TV and the lobby area is common to all 3 rooms. So no private TV. And the room was very small (almost fully covered with the king size bed). Bathroom was clean but that too was a bit too small for the prices that they charged. Buffet was great with very tasty food but there were not many variations. They mostly had Sri Lankan food which could be a point to attract tourists. But the buffet area cleanliness and service could have been improved. There are many extra activities that you can do here (some paid and some free) such as archery, shooting, boat riding, ziplining, a pool table, playing badminton or cricket or using the gym. There's a kids play area as well.

There was a huge drunken crowd when we were visiting (2 bus loads) and they totally ruined the experience. The pool was too crowded and couldn't accommodate that many people. All I could see was poor management from the resort. They must take necessary precautions to manage such situations.

Visited there in June with couple of family friends. One house (4 rooms) was well sufficient for our family (6 people). It was very spacious lovely house with all facilities. Had a lot of fun, adventures activities to do by paying a small amount for each such as cycling, air riffle shooting, archery, flying fox etc . Food was good but can be improved. Friendly and helpful staff. Recommended to visit with a group of friends/ colleagues as it will be fun.

Amazing place, great views, Only problem is you don't get hot water in the hotel rooms, but other then that everything is great, the day spa to get facials is very busy, I suggest going at night time so you don't wait a long time. they have lots of outdoor activities as well, swimming pool but you need to buy sunscreen if you get sunburnt easily as the swimming pool is not undercover, they also have a children's swimming pool too. Archery, boat rides, paddle boat, flying fox, paintball, practice shooting range, horse riding.

We friends and families went there for a dayout in the weekend. The place is spacious and well maintained. There is many activities also there that you can participate including archery . shooting and Zip line. However if you are a food lover this is not the place for you. Lunch buffet was below average. Taste, varieties and portions are poor. Since we went bit late to the lunch, many of the items were finished in the buffet. They had no plans to refill them. Other facilities like pool and the play areas are bit ok.

It is very good place to explore many things. It has lot of outdoor activities. Highly recommend all activities. All the guide from Sri Lanka army. They have very good knowledge about it. Place is very beautiful. Well maintain. It is good experience to walking around all the placess. Pool is very too small and cant access many peoples. Bicycle ride is too dangerous for kids. Because, there are lot of place can be slip . Please be careful if you plan to do it. Admin staff takeS lot of time to initial things. It is not soo good impression. Food is too bad. they have lot of variety s. Taste is not good. Finally, If you willing to go there please ask them to bring own food. 🤭🤭

I recently stayed at the laya leisure and I was pleased with my experience. The room was clean and comfortable, with all necessary amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful. Overall i would definitely recommend this hotel to others

Rooms Good , No Locks are attached for the bath rooms. Thats really bad when sharing with a group. Hot water is limited for a day. Rooms are not cleaning daily if you stay more than 1 night. Location is good for a team.

We went for team work outing. The events was great. But the buffet was not upto the standard

This is a hotel managed by the army. And it is well maintained. It's good for day outings, especially as team building activities. They have fscilities for a range of activities such as tennis, cycling, archery, shooting, paddle boating, etc.

An attractive resort maintained by Sri Lanka Army gives us many Activities including Group Events. Buffet consists of Delicious Food. Rooms and Cottages are maintained in a highly satisfactory level.

A lot of activities and nice scenery with the lake! Beautiful in the morning with the morning dew. The pool is nice and spacious. The food is definitely good and the rooms are very spacious!

It was a wonderful experience all round. Very courteous team always ready to lend a hand. Food is served in gigantic portions & was tasty too. We toured the famous පාහියන්ගල temple only to find the main statue closed AFTER climbing to the top. The Maakeliya waterfall was an experience of its own water cascading down just like the name given bridal wave. Steep step to climb down & up it was awesome. What a beautiful country mother Sri-Lanka is.

Laya always provides an amazing service. Staff is very friendly. Plenty of activities to do such as air rifle, archery, mountain bike ride, horse ride, boat ride, paddle boat and zip line. Tasty food.

It's an amazing place to visit..... and highly recommended. We have done three outward bound trainings there for our office staff. Happy to say that all participants are delighted with the experience they had.... Hope to visit again..

The place was awesome.beat customer service around the area.Even the other members of our team continuesly mentioned it. The packages are reasonable. Buffet is marvelous. The shooting range ( air rifle & archery ) also great. Mostly the rooms, for the price it was above great. I found the pool is little bit too much public.Hoping to visit other laya locations.

We booked this place for a company day out. But it’s sad to say that the experience we had wasn’t good. We got a ground with only one tent and few chairs for a 90+ group which was located separate from pool area. When we ask for more chairs their response was they have few other events going on the same day so we have to manage. After asking several times and hours later we got few more chairs. Pool was really crowded and they asked us to use only the pool without using pool area. Bathrooms in changing rooms were gross. Food was okay, staff was friendly but poorly managed. Overall experience we had was not as we expected or as they described before we book the place.

This place looks nice and have some outdoor activities. But they have the worst customer service, and poor management. Checking time also a disaster. We had to wait till 4.30pm. Villa look really nice and clean at the first glance. But there were bed bugs. So if you are planning to stay here dont forget to take a bug spray with you. And air conditioning wasn't working well. No fans as well. Gave several call to the fornt desk and no one came to check. They dint give the wifi password even after asking for several times. Since the cellular reception is poor in this area you'll be in trouble. And NO Room service. Pool is small and crowded with zero covid precautions. Food is okay. They charge corkage for liquor 1500LKR per a bottle even though you are a resident. In the night they had a very loud DJ, and he played some cool tracks. It was really loud so no one stayed in this area. On next day morning a group of people came to the pool area to have a drink and they started to play some bus songs using a large portable speaker. So obviously not a place for a calm stay. Most of the staff were not wearing masks. Doesn't check covid 19 vaccination status. 3 years back we did a workshop there for one week. Management and the service is really nice at that time. So I changed my ratings from 5 to 1. After all there is no one to complain these issues. Avoid at all cost.

It was a wonderful experience with my team and families.A great place for team events and the hotel is highly recommended for group events. The staff was very friendly and special thank goes out to DINUSHA and LAHIRU who were our coordinators who did a fantastic job to make our holiday worth. Rooms were clean and nice and specious . It created a home like feeling. Ambiance was great . Resturent in charge was not very friendly and did not even turn out for negotiation which is much needed when we are in with a group of 60. Any how this was over shadowed by the service of Dinusha and Lahiru which is appreciated. Over all it was a very good stay with activities for children and all of us.

Well spent. Food is tasty and the environment is really nice. They have various games to do like shooting, archery, badminton, boat ride etc. The suite we booked is superb. 2 rooms with attached bathrooms, pantry and tv area are there. Quite a big space.

We went to Laya Leisure on a day out on 25th September 2022 and this was our second visit to the hotel. We booked one bedroom apartment for day use. Hotel has done a lot of renovations to their rooms since we last visited in 2016. Rooms had great new amenities. This place has got many activities for everyone. Archery, Riffle shooting, cycling, Arial rope,monkey bar and , boat rides, Swan boats and many more. A token should be purchased to use some of the facilities. Unfortunately boat rides were not available due to the fuel shortage. We had a refreshing welcome drink upon arrival. Lunch buffet was lovely, worth the price. We were served ginger tea with a piece if yummy butter cake. Laya leasure welcomes day out guests from 8.30am to 5pm. Cost per head for day out is Rs 3640/-. Half rate for kids between 5 to 12.

There are many outdoor activities and hotel spread in large ground area. Restaurant staff are very friendly and they always trying to fulfill our appetite. The rooms were clean and mach space.

We went on an office team outing and very good for leisure activities and you can choose from a wide range of activities at affordable prices. Also, you can pre-organize them to participate batch-wise. Food also is at the level of acceptable including delouse salads range.

The place look awesome. The rooms are very comfortable and very cozy. Lots of fun things to do. Such as ari rifle shooting, archery, basketball etc.
