Very Friendly, Great Donuts! If you have a chance, stop by and pick up a dozen!

We're visiting the Kansas City area & LaMar's was recommended. The turn in to the lot was a bit unexpected, but we're glad that didn't detour us. Delicious treats—the German knot is amazing & the Bavarian cream is delightful. The counter guy was so kind and made our stop-in a memorable event.

Thanks for the donation to our Apartment building. The residents really enjoyed the donuts. "Best donuts they've had" was the response.

I wish I could give a rating less than one if I had that option then I would. I spent $25 for a dozen of glazed donuts and they are disgusting! They taste like they were cooked in old fish grease. They have a fishy taste and smell and they are a little hard like they are old. I'm used to Lamar donuts being soft and fluffy and fresh tasting. These donuts I got this morning are very low quality and below the standard that I expect from Lamar. I don't like paying all that money for trash! These donuts are definitely not worth $25. They aren't worth $.025. I will not be buying donuts from Lamar ever again because they have raised the prices and lowered the quality of their product. I could have went to Yummy Donut and spent the same that I spent here and got 2 dozen of assorted donuts including huge cinnamon rolls, long johns, and twist and theirs are a much better quality. They be hot and fresh and doesn't taste like fish grease. I came to Lamar's this morning because my Mom wanted to try them since we hadn't eaten them in a while because their prices are too high. I tell everyone I know to go to Yummy and not Lamar. I used to be a loyal customer of Lamar but not any more.

I've come to this place for years - a childhood staple. Unfortunately that seems to be coming to an end. The past few times I've gone there, without fail, the glazed donuts - the most popular product - are clearly old. The icing is crackly instead of creamy, and the donut isn't as fluffy. I come around 8-9AM, months apart. If you're already selling old product 2-3 hours after you open, what are you even doing? You're doing us dirty with day old donuts, Lamars. Not to mention, the price of donuts is going up so it is no longer a small purchase I don't notice anymore. For someone like me who lives in Grandview, there is no convenient Lamars location either. It's at least a 40 minute round trip. I can no longer rationalize 40 minutes worth of driving just to get enough donuts for me (2), that end up being old, and more expensive than they used to be. Lamars, get a location in the Grandview/Belton/Raymore area and we'll talk.

Where do I start…Customer service was awful, the donuts were too sweet based on what I ordered and again, the customer service was awful! No hello, welcome, thanks for stopping by ect. I don’t expect a response at to whomever owns this location or runs the website as “they” simply reply with generic responses of doing better. Not spending a dime at Lamar’s.

I visited this LaMar's for a sweet treat and I was not too impressed. The donuts were fresh and there was a good variety, but they were also very expensive compared to other donut shops in the area. I paid almost $3 for a single glazed donut, which seemed excessive. I have had better donuts for less money in other parts of the greater Kansas City area. The service was friendly and fast, but that did not make up for the high price and average quality. 🍩

VERY DIsappointed! Sister picked up a dozen donuts for my birthday on 8/8/23 at 6:30 am. Brought straight home, noticed they weren’t soft/fresh but the smell was awful! Smelled and tasted like the box and tissue had been in a moldy environment/room. The donuts tasted like the smell, musty! Not edible! I’m quite upset for what was paid and to not be edible???? I’m sure I’m not the only one who experienced this. This is your livelihood, DO BETTER!

Absolutely best donuts in town hands down. I always buy extra because they are still delicious the next day! Stopped by after church and expected a wait, so I was pleasantly surprised to find extra staff at the counter and a quick, friendly welcome as each person was serviced quickly and efficiently. Definitely my GO-TO for Sunday (or any day) donuts!!

Not very welcoming and friendly service today. Maple bars were not fresh. A day or two old at the best. Icing was so hard it cracked and fell all over the place. For what I paid, you'd think I'd get fresh donuts.

Outside of the door and in the parking lot, it looked like someone had been sick and thrown up donuts . Sadly, there were barely any donuts to choose from, but maybe that was timing (9:15am??). Once I got home, we weren't sure what the brown stain was on the bottom of one of the donuts so yeh, don't think I'll be returning to spend $9+ for four simple glazed donuts and the product quality and cleanliness of the facility be less than desirable. Sorry Lamar's, but I speak the truth.

I want to give a shout out to the young employee working this morning. My 2.5 yr old was so excited to pick out his own donuts, and without any prompting the employee packed his donuts in his own bag (even though we had another partially filled bag), and handed it straight to him. It seems like such a simple thing but he was so proud of his donut bag. We need more simple kindness like this in our world. Excellent employee and good donuts like always. Thank you.

I love Lamar’s they have the best donuts! Unfortunately they now cost as much as a fancy steak dinner used to cost. I get it we’ve had increases in costs but to charge $25 for a dozen donuts and $43 for a dozen long Johns after tax is the definition of insanity. You have priced me out of the donut game.

Not sure what happened this morning but they were not open at 6:30 as stated in Google and there were not any donuts in the cases! Very disappointed, had to opt for other options!

My husband just stopped at the south Lamar's for donuts this morning. Evidently they do not have the large boxes. So instead of using two medium boxes for the dozen large specialties he ordered, the gal behind the counter proceeded to stuff them in one medium box. My husband asked if she could use an additional box and was greeted to a show. Lamars donuts are good, but they are super expensive. After spending $30 it would be nice if they were not all crushed into one medium box.

Went in at 11am the lady behind the case was rude and said no donuts for 30 min read the sign. Not friendly whatsoever just disrespectful

They always manage to sneak a free donut in my bag. And I’m still surprised every time. Absolutely love the place and the donuts

Long time customer who won't be returning. Looked and tasted like a day old donut. The maple icing was literally hard and then cracked all over my cars interior. Donut itself tasted less than fresh. Was already several miles away or I would have returned this inferior product. Nearly $9 for a lousy donut and a pint of milk.

Rude employee and prices are outrageous! The employee was an older, opinionated male. No one was asking for his opinion or cared, but he had to let everyone know. I ordered one long john and a dozen donut holes - it was $10.71. Love the taste of Lamar’s donuts, but will never visit this rude location again by and may have to find a different “brand” due to the high prices- definitely won’t be taking any to work.
