I would just like to say that some of the staff is friendly and some of them are not. I took my dog there three times and she was still not getting better. She was feeling particularly ill so I called them and they tried to send me to an emergency vet clinic that had terrible views. I called them back and explained that I didn't feel comfortable taking my dog to that clinic and asked for other options. I ended up being able to make an appointment that day for which I am grateful for, but at the same time I could hear the receptionist and/or vets talking about me and my dog. Even if they weren't talking about me the conversation they were having was completely unprofessional. They were clearly mocking me (a college student going into considerable debt) for not having a lot of money to afford an emergency vet. I was in no way looking for a free hand out, but I had taken my dog there twice already and spent over $300 trying to help her and they still didn't know what was wrong. I was running out of options and money. This happened a couple days ago, but I couldn't keep it in any longer. I need to call them again, but I was afraid that they would mock me or be condescending towards me. Also when I was checking out, the lady at the front desk was being very rude towards me. I could only assume it was the person who was mocking my words and making fun of the fact that I don't have any money in this economy. I would just like for the employees to understand that their walls are very thin. Your patients owners are human and can understand your words. I ended up paying another $387 because that's all that I could afford at the time. All for my dog to not feel any better. That being said, the vet tech and actual vet were nice and understanding. I can't say that they weren't talking about me as well, but at least they weren't rude like the lady at the front desk. I cried because I just wanted my dog to feel better, but all i could hear while I was sitting in the room was: "I told her to go to Blue pearl" "She's complaining because she doesn't have any money!" "She said they (Blue pearl/ emergency vet clinics) cost, like we don't!" Like I said, I wasn't looking for a free hand out. I understand things cost money, but I'm the only one able to pay for my dogs vet bills and I don't make much. I wasn't looking to spend thousands of dollars in emergency vet bills. This is the closest vet to me so I would like to keep going to it. However, this experience was extremely disappointing and I will be making a call to explain what happened as well.

They charge $20 for being 5 minutes late. My own surgeon doesn't do that. Even so, they pulled my chihuahua's tooth and her health deteriorated rapidly right after the surgery. I brought her in and they said to take her antibiotics with food. That's it. So I did and she's so extremely sick now. She wasn't this sick at all before the surgery. It started happening immediately afterward. What did they do to her?? I was so worried. I had to make a second appointment because I'm afraid she's dying and all they had to offer was a "Mouth Shut Wallet Open" philosophy - $20 bucks extra starting at 5 minutes late or don't bother us. I can't believe my dog had a simple tooth removed and now she's half dead. I feel like if someone wants to pay a lot of money for rudeness and a beloved pet that is way worse than when they started, go here. PS. If you reply with one of your smug & condescending replies I see on here, I will send you another honest & bad review. I promise.

Just so people know... Their prices are ASTRONOMICAL for exotics!!! COMPARE QUOTES with other exotic animal vets in the area. Get referrals from the community NOT these reviews. Do not authorize treatment without a solid quote from this place and without shopping around first!!! Don't get in to debt or ruin your credit over a pet. Save that kind of money or debt for you or your child's life or death health needs. This place wanted 3x what other exotic vets charge.

My dog isn’t the easiest for a stranger to love. He’s big and doesn’t like most people. All three of the people who helped at our visit we’re amazing. Every vet we’ve been to just tries to diagnose the problem quickly and get him out of the door. It made both our experiences there better to have such great staff there. I appreciate it so much; thank you!

I absolutely love this Veterinarians clinic. The staff is SO helpful, SO nice and got my bearded dragon in quickly. My vet knew exactly what was wrong and the correct treatment plan and they talk to you about finances BEFORE they just go and do something. There wasn't any surprise charges. This is definitely my new go to, love them, will be a repeat customer forever! Thank you Belton Animal Clinic and Exotic animals!

Dr. Block is great with my bird and with us owners lol. She understood that we wanted to handle our bird since she was not really very socialized with strangers. She did not have a problem with this and we were able to work together to come to a solution for my baby Chica. To get to this particular doctor it is a bit of a drive but it is well worth my time.

I am so impressed with them! I couldn’t be more thankful to Dr. Rogers and everyone else at Belton Animal Clinic! My little guy has so much anxiety and they did everything in their power to make it more comfortable for him. He got his shots and exam on the floor where he felt more comfortable with no cone or muzzle! He didn’t even want to leave! I can’t say enough good things about them!

I love Dr. Rogers! I think she is very knowledgeable and skilled in what she does but the thing I love the most, is her genuine care for the pet you bring in. She shows love and care for my dogs every time I am there and also she is attentive to what I have to say or a concern I have for my dogs.

They have taken care of my Bailie since she was 2 months old and she is 7 years old now. Before her they took care of my poodle up until she was 14 years old. They are so knowledgeable and caring. We have mini aussie that has became agreesive towards strangers but still need her vaccinations to go to training. The Dr and staff were amazing with her made her feel very comfortable and did not act scared at all. It was a great appointment and we will be making them our regular vet. Great experience

Love this vet clinic, they helped me in many ways with me being a first time rabbit owner! They explained everything in detail and never made me feel less or dumb for questions about my pet! They also helped keep everything within my budget and were super respectful each visit.

Their staff is kind and compassionate and got our dog, Joey in for a necessary surgery that was not scheduled but very much needed. We are truly grateful and will not go bank to our previous Vet whose office didn’t care at all. We appreciate their professional kindness, care and help in our time of need! Our Joey is doing great 3 days post surgery!

10/10 would recommend. Staff is very caring. They listened and provided exceptional care to our fur baby, as well as provided emotional support to us during some unexpected, bad news. They never rushed us out of the door to get their next clients in. They took their time and allowed us time to grieve when our little fury family member had to cross the rainbow bridge earlier than anticipated. They were accommodating and it was greatly appreciated. A week later they sent their own written condolences in a card and it really touched our hearts. Thanks Dr. Anderson and team!

The doctors and staff at Belton Animal Clinic are nothing short of amazing. From the moment you walk in until you leave, every single person goes out of their way to make you and your four-legged friend feel welcome. During the entire exam and check-up, I could absolutely tell how much this team cares about animals, and providing the best care possible. They were sure to answer all my questions and even provide some information I never even thought to consider. Dr. Rogers and Dr. Obrer were absolutely fantastic, and their genuine care for my pup shined the entire time. Anyone with a fur friend (or not so furry friend, there was a Bearded Dragon there when I was!), this is who you want taking care of them!

We have always taken our pets to this vet and have never been disappointed. Can be a little pricey but worth it for the time, attention, and skilled care of the vets and technicians. Katie is awesome. Also we have recently acquired a dog that needed urgent veterinary care. The wonderful front desk people listened with compassion and empathy concerning the situation. They even called back to tell us of a cancelation so we could get the dog in earlier. The veterinarian listened carefully, spoke with empathy, treated the dog like a person, and came up with a care plan with us. The dog is doing much better already. These people know what they are doing.

Worst vet experience! I've never felt so judged in my life, I will not be returning, and I advise people to look elsewhere for the care of your loved ones, especially if you are a bunny owner. This clinic is only after your wallet. There was no effort on their part to build a trusting relationship. I guess by the reviews, they pick and choose which customers they want to bulid that trusting relationship with.

Our ferret had a growth on their tail that rapidly increasing in size. We were concerned with having a surgery done on our senior ferret. Dr. Anderson was able to ease those concerns. The surgery went absolutely perfect and our ferret is now back to living her best life. All the other staff were incredibly attentive as well. Though no one wants to see their pets go through surgery, I am happy with our choice to let Belton Animal Clinic and Exoctic Care Center handle the procedure. Thanks to their incredible work and care our ferret is thriving!

I got to be honest with you, this is the only veterinary clinic that I will ever go to. I’ve been coming here for about five years taking my hedgehog, and recently I’ve been taking my cat that we’ve adopted within the last year. This is hands-down the best vet and the best service we have ever received for our pets. I commute 35-40 minutes to get here, so it’s a drive but that pales in comparison to the quality of service our pets receive. Thanks Belton Animal Clinic for all you do.

Dr. Anderson is incredible! She’s operated on three of my bearded dragons and it’s very apparent that she cares for each animal. She’s full of knowledge and so kind and caring. She always goes above and beyond to make sure the animal is comfortable and cared for. Dr. Block is awesome as well! She’s very sweet and always takes extra time to make sure you fully understand what health issues the animal is experiencing and what the options are moving forward. The vet techs are always nice and welcoming. They’ve been able to squeeze me in several if one of my dragons needs to be seen immediately.

They were very helpful and compassionate. A little expensive, but honest and truthful regarding the treatment for our bird. Would recommend. We drove over an hour for thier help.

Over the years, I have waffled between Belton Animal Clinic and another clinic close by. Since the pandemic hit, it became very difficult to get an appointment at the close by clinic. Appointments would be weeks out and that doesn’t work well when dealing with some things. Every time I called Belton, they were able to see us. Their Doctors and staff are wonderful. They truly love animals and it shows.

From our very first call & visit, it has been amazing working with Belton Animal Clinic. I always appreciate the warm welcome & hospitality, the doctors & staff show to my fur babies & myself! I recommend this clinic to anyone looking for the best care for their pets.

They have been so wonderful to me. I cannot thank them enough. Not only have they taken such great care of my exotic red footed tortoise, Miss Maybell, but they helped me in my most painful time when I had to say good bye to my baby girl, Precious Kitty Overall. After 16 years together, it was not easy to let my little baby girl go, but they were so gentle and kind with her. They were able to get paw prints and a nose print. My heart is just so full. They even sent a card they all signed. It was so sweet. Thank you so much.
