Sometimes, you need a (gluten-free) burger and fries. It's difficult to find gluten free fries that don't have cross-contamination. Luckily, I discovered Tay's Burger Shack. It's a small joint with a big following. It was packed when we ate here. I asked about a gluten-free bun, and the employee confirmed they did have one and that they could make the fries gluten free for me...meaning no seasoning. (If you need gluten-free, be sure to tell them to leave the seasoning off the fries.) She also went back to personally inform the kitchen staff that they needed to change gloves and be careful as this was a gluten allergy. The fries were delicious, as was the burger. Definitely going back to get my burger and fries fix.

Love this place... whenever I'm in the area i have to stop by. They are friendly and quick as long as its not jammed pack that day. You can eat in or outside. Everyone should try this place at least once. Its another one of those hidden gems in ❤KC

This is not a fast food! It is a premium quality burger for a fast food price fast, with variety of add on toppings to please any burger lover. Excellent atmosphere and service! Fries are juicy with very tasteful balance of salt and pepper and that Sriracha ketchup. Loved it!

As always, the grass fed beef burgers and fries are delicious. Place your order at the cash register counter and don't forget to customize your burger any way you want it. I suggest a combo with free drink refills. I think you will be happy when you pay because the prices are very reasonable. Fill your drink, grab some condiments and napkins and have a seat inside or outside. They will call your name in just a couple of minutes. Yes, they are fast! Enjoy your hot fresh food and repeat often. I love this place!

You gotta go to Tay’s burger shack! Little hole in the wall burger joint in Northtowne Kansas City. These burgers have a lot of attitude with phenomenal flavor. The chili cheese fries are out of this world. Best chili cheese fries I’ve had in the US to date! The place is a little small so you might want to come between lunch and dinner because it does get packed! Kid friendly staff is awesome. They do not do sauce on burgers you put your own sauce at the table like Shake Shack. They do have some killer siracha ketchup and mayo though. Would def come back from Texas just to eat here again! 8.5/10

Get a double burger (it's a smash style), dressed how you like, add a side of fries and dip in their delectable Sriracha ketchup. Ingredients are high quality. The service and interior are low frills but comfortable. I sometimes go out of my way to come here and that is how much I love their eats!

Awesome burgers and fries! Best I've had in a while. They clearly use fresh quality ingredients. It's a shack, but it was nice and clean. They even had my regular radio station on. The service was excellent. The Sriracha ketchup and mayo was great. Well worth the visit. I highly recommend!
