Best hidden gem in Jefferson city. Top shelf burgers. Very cool atmosphere and employees who know how to do your sales.

JQs is a hidden little local gem with just a few tables and a walk up ordering system. The food is absolutely amazing. We’ve had the wings, pulled pork nachos, shrimp tacos, shrimp po boy, and the cucumber salad. All was on point! You should definitely check it out!

Wonderful food. A unique selection of upscale "bar food". Everything looked great. My burger was cooked to perfection. So many awesome sides to choose from. I had the beans and also a side of pork rinds. The beans were so flavorful and rich. The pork rinds had great crunch and seasoned well. Only drawback is limited seating, maybe better to get take out.

Oh my goodness! What a fantastic little restaurant. This was enough to feed two people, it was a unexpected surprise. We will going back soon to try their homemade sirloin burgers.

My new favorite restaurant in all of Jefferson City, MO because of the Spudmagedon. Also in the top 2 for best hamburger in town (in my opinion). The Spudmagedon was enough for two but was so good that I didn't want to share. Great fish tacos. Great waffle chips. Chips and salsa. A small restaurant with huge flavor. Great comfort food choices, friendly service, with indoor and outdoor seating. Located on the East edge of Historic Downtown Jefferson City. Street parking only.

Only in town for a couple hours, we wanted to find something off the beaten path to eat. Can't be more pleased with our choice. The workers, especially the guy at the counter were very friendly and inviting. Everything we ordered was amazing, and my kids announced the were the best wings and the best burger they had ever eaten. Me and my GF had the porkocalypse and it was amazing. We will definitely visit again when we return to Jeff City.

Located in Jeff City, JQ’s On High was an amazing restaurant to dine in at offering high quality wings, pulled pork, and tacos. Also using newer menu/payment technology adapting well into the future.

I just stopped and grabbed a sandwich and fries for my first visit. It is sooooo good. Absolutely delicious food and I have enough for another meal. Fantastic! I highly recommend!!! It should be on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives!!!

I appreciate the size and charm. This was a great find and will be in again when in the area. The portions were generous. The Sweet Caroline with homemade pickles and the Chuckwagon Burger were both great. I also ordered a side of beans and they were hardy and wonderful with different types of beans plus peppers and onions and pulled pork. The restaurant is open for dine in so we enjoyed the eclectic decor. I think this place as a nicer and clean hole in the wall you can take you mom, kids or buddy and all will find something they enjoy.

Dropped into JQ's for lunch today for the first time. I knew it was going to be delicious when I saw how small it was. Just a little "dive" is what I like to call it; these places always have the best food!! When we walked in we were greeted by a girl behind the counter who asked if it was our first time in. HUGE plus on service there. She gave us some suggestions and told us we could sit wherever. We ordered at the window. Service was extremely quick and tentative. The fat boy bacon cheeseburger was made with ground briquet and HUGE! It came out piping hot with melted cheese and fresh crispy bacon. Delicious and juicy. The fries were hot and also very crisp and tasty. The wings were smoked and tossed in dat honey sauce. They were in fact jumbo wings. The wings were not my favorite, although I think it may have been the sauce. I would try them again with another sauce.

This "hole on the wall" has become one of our favorites! The pulled pork Cuban is a great twist on a classic. Great value for the quality of food and serving size. Fry sauce is fantastic too! Burgers are also great and the staff is friendly and helpful!

Went there today with my two adult boys. They had burgers and I had a Carolina pulled pork sandwich. We all had fries and can soda. They put my sauce on the side. It was a sweet mustard sauce and had cucumbers vinegar pickles. Was a really great sandwich. Very hot and so we’re the fries. Both boys burgers looked really good too. Very small seating area but had outside tables too. Great little place for a huge burger for lunch.

They do it right! I have not had a bad experience yet. My take is that they take pride in what they do, and it shows! I've had the best burger of my life here, and they keep creating some really great meals. Outstanding it is a small establishment with equal seating inside and out. And it's worth it.

Amazing food! Awesome people, we will definitely be coming back! Me and my bestfriend went for dinner and were shocked! We got the piggy burger & pulled pork nachos absolutely fantastic! You HAVE to eat here if you’re in Jeff!

This was one of, if not the best burger I have ever had. I found JQ's on High on Google, and the reviews were great. Didn't have a lot of time, so I asked the young lady working for a recommendation. Without hesitation, she said the burger. So I did, I added cheese, and it came with chips. The Bad Boy Brisket Burger and JJJ sauce are DELISH!!! This is as good if not better than the Gordon Ramsey burger. I say better, and closer (2 hrs.) And much cheaper. It's a very small hole in the wall type place, but it was so good. The service was great and friendly. I ate out on the sidewalk. It was such a nice day. Next time, I will have more time to really explore the menu but still have the burger.

This was the highlight of a 9-day roadtrip through middle-America. It's a hole-in-the-wall joint with enthusiastic staff. You enter the small space and are told about their city-best burgers and all their other recommendations. My mind was already made up before I entered - I was getting the Spugmaggeon. It sounded fun, but I expected to only like it at best because I'm not a big fan of pork. OMG. I loved the huge buttery potato, moist pork, tasty sauce, etc. Even my travel partner couldn't keep his fork out of it and he's not a fan of pork or baked potatoes! Now, I'm trying to figure out other reasons to get back to Jefferson City to have another! I attached a picture of my spud (minus the onions) after I took several bites. :) Oh, and in case it's not obvious, it's a meal! Not a side.

Came to Jefferson City for a ceremony where my son received a Medal of Valor. Wanted lunch afterwards, but not pizza or a big name restaurant we always eat at and you can’t go wrong with BBQ. Surprised when we pulled up and the building was smaller than expected, but I always support small businesses. Small packages=big surprises. Great pulled pork! And the portion sizes are huge!! Great service and people were so nice! Love the decor!! Definitely worth going back to!!

All I can say is WOOOOOW! We hit this place traveling from out of town and immediately told several people about it! I wasn't super Hungary but ordered the shrimp tacos and ate all 3. Our son ordered the wings which were one of the best he had ever had (and he knows a good wing) husband ordered the pork belly tacos and wouldn't even talk until he was finished. This place only seats 15.5 people, go anyway and sit on the curb if there isn't room, but you NEED TO GO!

🧻🧻Their bathrooms actually have good soft and thick toilet paper! 🧻🧻 🥣🥣 They also have the BEST baked beans I've ever had, ever. 😋😋 Those two things are unrelated to each other.

Great food!!!! Tiny bldg. and super smoky and crowded inside. It's best to order online, then pick it up and eat outside or at home. Soda is served in a can but it would be nice to have a cup of ice so the drink doesn't get warm.

We Hit this place up for my wife’s birthday looking for something different, we left full and happy with everything the Cuban is everything it says on the menu and more great flavor. We have never been until the other and decided to try it out! My husband is very picky, but absolutely loved the wings and the brisket burger! He said it was the best burger he's ever had! I had the fish tacos and they were incredible! We will definitely be back!

I'm surprised I've never eaten here before, and if anyone has told me about it, I must not have been listening. A simple menu where the attention to detail is placed on the flavor and preparation of the food. The staff member that took our order was very helpful and courteous. Even though this night was rather slow and there were plenty of available seats, we opted to sit next door at The Mission where they had open mic night going on. They walked our order right over and delivered it to our table. That's pretty cool. We ordered the burger and the fish tacos. The burger was good sized, placed on a toasted bun with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. I also had them add jalapenos. There was a sauce added on the underside which was flavorful but didnt dominate the taste of the burger. It was cooked evenly through and the burger itself had good taste and wasn't dried out or overly greasy. The fish tacos had a good amount of fish and the tastes and texture worked out great. Nothing seemed over cooked or lacking seasoning. If your like supporting your local businesses and like your food cooked to order, you should deffinitly try it.

Husband and I ate lunch here today for the fist time. We both had the Fat Boy Burger and it was AMAZING!! Hands down the best burger I've ever had. Great atmosphere, staff and service also!! This place is must try and we look forward to coming back soon to try more from the menu.

We stopped there today before heading back home. Best burgers ever, SUPER friendly service. Neat little place where you can tell the owner (I think he was...?) is happy when the customer's happy (and this customer was happy). Yummy!

I had the DAT honey wings and they were amazing! The sauce is sticky and sweet. The wings have good seasoning and the fries were hot and crispy and fluffy on the inside. I’ll definitely be back and I highly recommend. The owners/cooks are amazing…personable, kind and friendly.
