I give this place more than 4 stars! More like 4.5! Very big and juicy double burger! The tots were super light and crispy! The fried mushrooms were awesome and served with a very good homemade ranch dressing! I highly recommend this place!

The food was fairly good, pretty salty, but had some good flavor. The service was great, the people were super friendly and the food came out quickly. The tenderloin was good, not super big, but very salty. The burgers were good. Their sauce that came on the sandwiches was tasty. It's a similar joint to Hi-Boy though I would recommend driving the extra 20 minutes to go to Hi-Boy.

This place has gone to heck with the new owner. Insane how long the wait was, and the food was just okay. My junior burger was cold and about half the size it was about a year ago. Aireanna was very sweet, although she had to clarify our order several times .. and we only ordered three things! The young lady with the purse around her body and red baseball cap was slower than Christmas. Truly do not know if she is able to read? That was not meant to be derogatory...she just had to keep asking questions when looking at orders as she was prepping them. We are not sure she understood what she was reading. The young man calling out orders was fantastic! Reading other reviews, the new owner keeps talking about how 99% of customers love their food and that nothing has changed. He also mentions that if anything is not right, it will be replaced immediately. Given that most of us get our food to go, an immediate replacement is not the answer. It should be right in the first place! As nice as the employees were, we still miss the old owners, as they had this down to a science!

The chicken sandwich was pretty good but the fish sandwich was questionable. My picture below shows you exactly why I thought it was suspicious. Please look and tell me what you think? The fries were not very hot and kind of limp. The drive thru was fast so that was a plus.

Great joint. The burger was perfectly smashed with a nice lacy edge. Love it. The fries and onion rings might have sat in the warmer a little long but I bet when they're fresh they're top notch. We'll be back.

One of the best joints around. The burgers and tenderloin are delicious. The grilled cheese is perfectly crispy and cheesy. The tater tots are hard to be beat. But more than all of that, my two favorites are the onion rings and the Pepsi. Oh, and the shakes & ice cream. Ok, it's all good. Just be sure to pay them a visit!

So, I saw in Kansas City Favorites that Paul's smashburger took gold. I was not impressed. Pre-formed patties instead of fresh ground beef. Dressed poorly for any restaurant standard. Would not recommend, period. Very blah and boring dining room. All service stops at the counter, nobody to come check on the quality of the food or the experience. Would rather get a quarter pounder with cheese from McDonald's.

Tanya was excellent. She recommended the pork tenderloin. She did a great job. She deserves a raise.

Employees are very friendly. Good is really good! Dottie and the boys were so nice!

Oh it pains me to have to change my previous 5 star rating from a year ago down to two. Lady was super friendly. One of my burgers was made incorrect but wasn't a big deal.. but the taste? Definitely not the old Paul's Drive Inn. Hyped up the food so much that my mom thought I ended up getting food from somewhere else because whatever we had that night, definitely wasn't it 😞

This place was recommended by a more tenured KC citizen than myself, as they told me they have been coming here their entire life. I take those words seriously with burgers.... It's not bad! Pretty good burger, though I did expect a bigger sandwich. I thought the onion rings were excellent, though I am not sure they are fully prepared on site. The fountain drink tasted a little flatter than one should expect. I would go back for another try. It's definitely better than most chain hamburgers, and more expensive. I'd be interested in how the rest of the menu tastes. It's old school greasy, if you like that sort of food.

Watched "You Gotta Eat Here" episode about great burgers. That's a Call for Paul's if there ever was one. And boy, did they answer! I put an freshly made onion ring and Masterpiece Bar BQ sauce on it. Best Bacon Cheese burger EVER! If you've never tried Paul's Drive In off I-470 and Blue Ridge, you are missing out on a Kansas City landmark burger joint! It's been around since dirt for a reason! Fresh food cooked fast served by people who KNOW what they are doing!

I was so looking forward to the usual Paul's. I haven't eaten here since it was sold, unfortunately......They said it would be the same quality and taste. Unfortunately not true. Hamburger I order was over cooked, flat and chewy, the Mayo definitely isn't the same and the tots were not very hot. Very disappointed, didn't even see the same staff, but the girl was friendly. Sadly, I likely won't return.

This is a really good restaurant, I went there today. The tater tots omg there delicious, the crunch is everything. There perfectly seasoned and have a good inside. Now the junior burger was pretty good, for the size, it filled me up pretty quick. I would definitely recommend this place, enjoy your food <3!

I used to come to Paul's since I was a kids. My experience today isn't to bad. But I sat in the drive through for 20min in line. Waited for 10min just to have my order taken. Then sat in the drive through for another 20min just pay and receive my food. Food is great! But just need a little faster service in the kitchen. I understand it can get busy. But I've never waited in a drive through for this long before.

Ordered a #1 and #4, two burgers , 1 single and the other double asked with no sauce. Wrapper on both just had "CB" i think one should have had "DCB" but the burgers came with just cheese. No onion or pickles, sad night for my burgers but they tasted great.

Good burger. Onion rings and loaded tots I could have done without. The customer service sucked!! We probably wouldn’t go out of our way to come back for that reason.

I have been going to Paul’s for 30 years and my mom went well before that. I was nervous when I heard that ownership had changed. After tonight’s meal I can safely say it’s just as good as ever! The burger was delicious and the onion rings were perfect. Just how I’ve always remembered!
