This is a great nature trail for those that have a moderate fitness level. You will have to go uphill to get back to the trailhead so strollers and wheelchairs will be challenging, as it's a gravel & dirt path. I only had an hour to explore so I went to the "bridge" which is a cool cave/tunnel-like structure with a little creak running through it. It's quite breathtaking if you love nature and things like this! Wear a good pair of walking or hiking shoes as this is a can't miss nature trail. I will definitely be back to explore some more.

Really cool area to walk around! Not too crowded and easy to get around. I definitely am curious to know the full story behind this place. Lots of interesting and random spots along the trail. Behind some trees we found but couldn't get a picture of, a giant bowl. It was cement and almost the size of a small pool. And the unity village sign on the ground and locked up cave... Seems like there's lots of history here!

Cannot say enough about this place. Beautiful scenery, long trails, massive lakes, and interesting landmarks and history. Id say it's much better than James A. Reed in terms of natural beauty.

What a beautiful, unexpected find while in town recently. Gorgeous area and views. The Natural Bridge and surrounding area is breathtaking with the giant stalactites and stalagmites of ice!

Beautiful trail - especially in the fall. The natural bridge is neat! (Please respect nature don't ruin this with any more graffiti!!!) The trail is long enough to make it worth the trek to unity village, but short enough fora walk and chat with a friend. The trail is pet-friendly as long as they are on leash. Brand new murals painted under a bridge (the paint was still wet today!).

It's a very nice nature trail and a good hike. Make sure to wear good solid tennis shoes or hiking shoes, as it is gravel. I've gone a couple times unprepared and my feet payed for it later. There's a beautiful little creek that has small minnows and crawfish my kids like to explore. There's also a big pond/small lake at the back of the loop which is beautiful as well. I often see deer or other small animals along the path. I find it helps me and my kids reconnect to our best selves and chill out a bit.

One of my favorite quick and easy trails to do. It's well taken care of, and some beautiful views of both lakes and trees. Will totally be back

From a trail perspective, it’s fine. Think highly travelled gravel road, rather than single track. So it’s road shoes, not hiking boots, type of trail. There are a few slightly rough areas on the off cambered turns on hills that get bumpy, but altogether something you could do a stroller on. There are a number of offshoots that I wish were marked a little better, especially around the dam. I am simply not clear if any of them loop back into the trail. Be aware that if you go clockwise, there is a fairly significant hill. I would bet as the leaves change, this will be very pretty. It allows dogs, but no bikes. It’s very clean! There are no trash cans along the way so haul your trash out if you plan to take a picnic. There are plenty of benches to rest and a few somewhat scenic spots. Parking lot seems safe and busy, so likely not as exposed to break inside as some of the other trailheads nearby.

Its a nice gravel trail. It loops around and is maybe 2-2.5 miles long. There is a natural bridge close to the trail head and a small lake about a mile in. Will be returning in the spring time.

Very nice walk, entire loop is 2.6 miles. Some moderate inclines, but a well kept, mostly gravel trail. Not crowded. Plenty of parking at the trailhead. Definitely want to return when there’s foliage on the trees. A reasonable drive from Kansas City. The railway tunnel had some beautiful art someone had completed using mud!

Great Trail! Perfect length, a challenging hill. In a religious/spiritual environment. Some pointers: 0) Please do not drive, bicycle, or walk over the labyrinth unless you intend to complete at least one journey through it properly. It is a replica of the Labyrinth of the Chartres Cathedral and a spiritual space. Though I don't think and park rules forbid entering it disrespectfully, doing so may be something that you regret in the next life. 1) The trail is deceptively simple: it is easy to take a wrong turn and get way off path. Pay close attention at all forks in the road and generally bear left until the second pond after the hill and then, later, the final turn coming back just after the path that leads to the cave, there bear right. 3) The Labyrinth is about an 4/5 of a mile both ways, combined with the regular trail walk including the cave extension, the total walk is about three and three quarters mile. 3) The Unity mural was painted by a young woman entering college, her friend and her father. It was completed nearly a year ago, but apparently is updated from time to time hence the sign not to touch, but the paint is almost always dry in reality. 3) The tunnel with the mural goes under a railroad track, sometimes you can hear/see trains pass. 4) Bunny rabbits and white tails like to come out of the woods to feed on the abundant grass along the trail in the evening. The rabbits aren't very afraid of people and sometimes you can watch them eat for long periods of time. 5) This trail is deceptively easy, if you go left outside of the tunnel, you will have longer until you get to the challenging hill, but it is steeper; if you go right the hill comes sooner, but it is a more gradual, easy climb. 6) you're not really supposed to be in the park after dark, but enforcement of this is spotty and seems to be more strictly enforced in the winter.

Trail is well kept and beautiful. Several hills add some challenge but not too much.

Great 3 mile easy walking trail that loops back to your parking lot. It has gravel for strollers with big wheels. There's a creek running through it for exploring and a lake towards the back with gorgeous views. There is a cave you can walk through if you head off the main trail. There is usually a port a john in the parking lot.

The park is very beautiful. I had an intimate picnic with my close friends but we were told to leave because it was considered an event which I didn’t understand because it was not. Mind you I called Unity Village customer service two weeks before my picnic to confirm that Picnics were allow at the park and that it wouldn’t be a problem and I was told by customer service that it was allow as long as we clean up. However, that wasn’t the case. So if anyone is wanting to have a picnic with friends and a little set up just keep in mind that you have to book the place. This is white people play ground so any small decorations is considered an event. However, the event manger was very respectful and give us time to clean up. I just wished customer service would have told me that I needed to book the place.

The trail itself is always very well maintained. We saw many different birds today including a blue heron in the creek. Honestly the best part was seeing they had a restroom in the parking lot. Whoever finally made the decision to do that deserves HUGE kudos. 😃

Wonderful little Crystal Store. Loved my Reiki Session:)! Great friendly service. Best reasonable crystal prices in and around KC. Homemade Candles & wrapped crystal jewelry. Hard to find/see entrance=use your GPS for easily finding the location;-)

The Village is a well maintained area with the most wonderful hiking trail. I wore my chaco sandals which generally are good for walking. My ankles wished I'd worn hiking boots. The trail is hilly and rocky. Not huge rocks, but gravel to driveway rocks. The distance is a couple of miles. Beautiful scenery. I'll be back!

At the fork turn left for as that lower portion of the trail is the most scenic and there are exercise stations. The upper half of the loop is less scenic through a field. There is only one steep hill otherwise the hike is very easy.
