Such a great bike or walking trail. The views are great. The trail is very well maintained. You have so much wildlife around you, you are bound to meet a few. We have done the entire completed trail, and none of it disappoints. So glad we found this trail.

Very nice trail. Jackson County sheriff patrols pretty regularly. Great trail for people of all ages.

These are pictures of the Phelps Rd. Trail head in Lee's Summit. It's at the 14.8 mile marker. Blue Mills Rd. in north Independence is the 0.0 mile marker. The trail is in good condition and they are making improvements. They have poured several sections of concrete. It's a good ride!

15.5 miles total. I recommend trailhead entrance off of Lee's Summit road. You never have to cross the street on this trail. There's a few points up north part of the trail that needs some minor repair.

Wow. This trail is amazing. Just came here on a whim and stayed for awhile. Beautiful area and great photo ops for shutterbugs.

Nice little park. It's the north end of the bike trail and I've also used this park to get in and out of the river to kayak. It's not easy, but you can do it

This is a nice place to go to, to take a walk or ride your bicycle. The trail is partially paved and partially hard packed dirt & gravel. I only walked a short distance and was pleased to find trees on both sides of the path.

Beautiful and well kept trail. It was a little busier than normal today, but the kids and I still had a lot of fun.

Little Blue is awesome end to end! It should be experienced and enjoyed by anyone that enjoys a beautiful trail steeped in the nature of the area! I will say this......once you start getting south of the Truman Road bride, and on up to the Necessary Road area, there is A LOT of the trail being disrupted for construction. I'm not sure what is being built, but it is impacting the last 8 miles of the trail, which winds into a rather busy retail area and then into more "privileged" neighborhoods. Little Blue Trail is best enjoyed up to this area. Don't get me wrong.....it's cool to be able to step off and buy a refreshment or have a meal. That said, the natural features are disappearing so that the land can be inhabited after being sold off for outrageous cost and reason. I would take pictures to demonstrate, but they are people's homes. I will always try to show the beauty of what nature has allowed. They aren't making any more land. Stop letting people build on it. Jackson County Parks, this over development is disappointing.

A nice walking/running/cycling trail. I didn't get much further than out of the parking lot when I went but I've been to different parts of the trail & they are all great. There is a couple cool bridges here at this trail entrance. Plenty of parking. They do have a bathroom in the parking lot too. No playgrounds or anything so probably not the best for kids unless you're just looking to take a walk or ride bikes.
