What a delightful and quintessential English pub. Beer, no lager, superb filled rolls. It is a rare gem in this corporate age.

Very cute historic pub. The inside is TINY but there is a really nice large garden area out the back so its a perfect spot for a beer after a walk in the countryside! Prices are really good too.

Beautiful old school pub been coming here for 20 years, friendly landlord and perfect ale and hot rolls with ham, cheddar, prawns etc. This is how pubs used to be… for drinking not expensive restaurants. Love the books outside, the pretty beer garden and interiors completely unspoilt. Thank you for never changing!

We arrived on a Friday night after a spontaneous drive down some wonderfully narrow quintessentially English country roads. We were met by a buzzing community vibe, and a large field to park in to the rear of the pub. The kind publicans gave us a large sample of local ciders to taste, and prices were great also! Just over £8 for two ciders - slightly less if you pay in cash. The pub had a lovely feel and has won many a CAMRA award for the beer and cider it serves. Looking forward to coming back, as there shall be a second time!

One of the best Pubs in the whole of England, amazing people come around and lovely British ales. You will meet people coming there from their teenage. :)

Brilliant experience. You get the feeling that you have stepped into the past as soon as you step into the door. There is a great vibe in the cosy spaces, where staff and patrons are friendly and welcoming. On the down side parking is limited and I have to say that the many post it notes all over just don't belong and should be removed asap.

Popped in for a quick soft drink on a very hot day. We sat in the garden, relaxed on our bench, and enjoyed the atmosphere. We saw the food come out, and were very tempted. Next time...

Haven't been to the Bell for 40 years and all I remembered was the atmosphere and delicious rolls that were served. Why change something so good, to my surprise it was just the same and as good. Brilliant will be going again soon

A most unusual pub in the most fantastic setting. Warm crusty rolls and delicious ales. It's an outdoor pub with limited seating indoors but that doesn't deter anyone who enjoys the beautiful countryside.

Had a lovely pint of the locally brewed "Five Giants" which warmed us up on our chilly bike ride. Great atmosphere inside and outside the pub. Lovely location.

The pub and the staff were absolutely lovely, and we really enjoyed sitting outside while the chicken was pecking from place to place, BUT the pictures were taken moments before someone’s dog chased and bit the chicken, putting feathers everywhere. People got really upset, myself included and unfortunately the dog owner was very slow and incredibly rude as well, so please please be more mindful of your surroundings and always keep your dog on a lead!!!

Love this place. For me the best pub in the UK! Friendly service. A decent selection of ales at a good price. Didn't eat this time but the rolls are amazing. Lovely garden or watch the world go by out the front. Perfection!

Weird, tiny, award winning pub. A small entrance with 2 hatches to be served at. One was permanently blocked up with locals. The rolls that they sell are generous and delicious and the beers and cider served in perfect condition.

Stumbled on this quaint little pub after walking the ridgeway- what a great welcome. It's how pubs should be. The garden is beautiful, plenty of seating plus the rolls are just what we wanted after a long walk. Don't expect fish and chips or mass produced meals. The menu is limited but what you get is fresh and just perfect . The local real ales on offer are great. Was a little gem.

Great old country pub. Literally one of the best. Be prepared and accept the fact you will queue for drinks and food and you will enjoy it.

A proper unspoilt village pub. Great selection of real ales, and ciders. Food options are limited to filled rolls which are very nice quality.

The pub is picture postcard pretty & has ample parking & a lovely garden to eat & drink in. The landlord & staff are really friendly & helpful. I can recommend the cider & the Mexican chicken in a bun for lunch. You wiy not be disappointed.

Excellent pub! Great guest ales and ciders. They do the best rolls at such reasonable prices. I think if a pub does something well there's no need to change it. Perfect afternoon 👌
