👍👍 A really good coffee shop for great brew and sweet treat. Great friendly service, quality coffee and food plus good range of teas. Nice location out of the main hussle but still in the centre of Reading. One of my go to places to escape and relax. People often mention coffee, staff, good, great, Reading, seating, chocolate, friendly, specialty,

Interesting little coffee shop just round the corner from the church which has both indoor and outdoor seating. Always looks busy. Had cappuccino and chocolate cake which was very rich and gave me a sugar rush! Staff were very polite and I felt I was dealing with a place which knew how to make coffee rather than being just another chain!

What a great little find while we were driving around on the weekend! Awesome Vibe, great energy and even better coffee. The treats are delicious and the best part - it was dog friendly too!

This is definitely the best coffee in Reading and the staff is one of the friendliest we have ever visited in a long time. The experience is amazing especially the tea! As well, if you are a hot chocolate fan, make sure to try it! Highly recommend it!

If you are looking for coffee in Reading then this is definitely the place! Fabulous coffee of all shapes and sizes including frappe and a select range of yummy pastries including spinach/feta pie. Coffee made with passion and professionalism! Highly recommended... 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

The smell of the coffee and the pastries are mouthwateringly good. I tried their lattes, and Americanos each hit in the right spot. Their chocolate tahini biscuit is a must try, and you won't regret it. It is one of the best specialty coffee shops in reading.

The coffee was great, perhaps one of the best in Reading. Unfortunately the experience was partly ruined. I wanted to work on my laptop outside as it was a hot day, only to be asked to sit inside so they could prioritise seating for those without laptops, probably to make more money. I didn’t feel very welcome as a paying customer so I probably won’t visit again. It’s a shame because the coffee is great…

The guy that is in charge of the Blagrave St store is a total shambles. His customer services skills are appalling. He will not serve you one second before 8 am and sits outside drinking coffee and smoking (not a great look). The first time he was smoking inside behind the counter. He has a terrible attitude. After two failed attempts to buy a coffee I have given up and gone to Black Sheep who have just opened, serve and greet you with a friendly smile and are open at 7.30 am, and importantly the team there do not sit around drinking the profits and smoking. I spend around £25 a week on coffee but Coffee Under Pressure do not deserve it with the appalling behaviour towards customers by the member of the team here I think you could do better CUP, - all the money you spend on your store and marketing to get me in to your store all fails because of one arrogant grumpy individual.

Definitely the best place for artisan coffee in Reading. Their opening hours are a little frustrating for the early risers but it’s hard to find a better coffee in the area. Flat white was solid - 7.5

Had coffee and chocolate brownie. Sat outside which was fine but cars can pass close by. Coffee was very good. Brownie was a bit dry but tasted OK. We shared a portion and they cut it up nicely for us and provided two wooden forks.

My go to coffee place when I’m in Reading. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Their proud of what they do but without the attitude of some Baristas. I don’t often sit inside, as I prefer the outside seating. The staff will bring your coffee and snack out as standard. No bellowing out the fake name you gave them at the counter. Outside seating is very popular with large groups chatting and whiling away the hours along with the odd loner like me listening to my playlists. Snack wise they do some god Greek style food and a rather unusual almond croissant. I didn’t like it but at least they’ve tried something different to the norm. Keep up the good work CUP!

It is actually specialty good Coffee, nice pastries and good selection of teas, tables outside far from the traffic, and relaxing space inside with big windows overlooking the church. Nice vibe and very nice staff.

They declined me from using toilet. Made up lies used their phone and said they had a case against me. Bullied me with their staff. Said they turn pregnant women if waters breaking. Savouries expensive not a relaxing place to enjoy snack and coffee

C.U.P is the best specialty coffee place in Reading and beyond. 5* Customer service, the best coffee for miles and an incredible atmosphere. The outside seating is perfect for warmer weather and the indoor seating area is very cosy during the colder seasons. The food selection is varied and always tasty! If you're looking for speciality coffee whilst visiting or a regular to Reading, look no further.

Love the interior and benches and seating. Mocha was extremely sweet, loads of sugar in it, to the point it wasn't really pleasant, and I was charged 4 quid for the pleasure, I'm not sure if they only serve some specialty mocha with real melted chocolate or something, the staff were fine, not very helpful though and were taking to someone else and didn't explain if their mochas were different from a normal mocha with cacao powder etc. The only sign was one he pointed at which said white chocolate or dark chocolate, I chose dark and the drink was pretty unpleasant to be honest with you.. Way too sweet and nothing was explained to warn me that it was different from a normal mocha and would be extremely sweet.

Tucked away in a corner near St Mary's Butts church, this is a gem of a place. A good selection of coffee, all of which is delicious. I also had carrot cake which was beautiful. I sat inside, but there is outdoor seating if you prefer. Seems to be frequented by Reading's Italian community, amongst others, which can't be a bad thing. The staff are excellent.

Not sure about the “specialty coffee” aspect of this place. Tasted just as your average coffee from a chain cafe. Coffees only served in paper cups.

I didn’t like the idea of having to set inside if you are working on your laptop on the weekends. It was too hot inside and humid.

Excellent customer service, Maria was very welcoming and friendly. I had carrot cake which was very soft & fresh, tried 2 different coffee; nice and balanced. Will visit again. Dee

Friendly staff, excellent coffee, a generally great experience. I had the Thai guest coffee as a V60 and it was gorgeous. The view of the minster sitting outside is also quite nice.

First and foremost they serve excellent coffee here, whatever your preferred being method. Additionally they have a great selection of savoury and sweet snacks - the feta and spinach filo is delicious and not only is the pastel de nara excellent, but it's compatriot the custard cake, with cinnamon and icing sugar, it's delicious! The staff are warm, friendly, and genuine. This was written on my first, but hopefully not my last visit

Excellent coffee (and perhaps the best in Reading) and brilliant service every time at Coffee Under Pressure. Lovely seating area too with an industrial feel about it. Definitely my favourite place for a caffeine fix in town.

An independent coffee shop well worth a visit. The food is well presented and delicious. The service is a tad slow so if pushed for time avoid. Nevertheless the quality is well worth it. The selection of blends of both tea and coffee is expansive and the friendly and polite staff are capable of making a range of drinks. Seating is available but limited.
